Today, I am again in love with the character that captured my attention from Day 1, Arnav Singh Raizada...

For all those who claimed I'm biased against Arnav, I am not.

I wanted to see this guy.

The man in love: A man in love looks at his love and feels her pain like his own and tries to fix that. He doesn't ignore or belittle her belief or concern. Arnav realized that Khushi believes in rituals so whether he believes or not, it's important for her and that's good enough for him. He takes away her mind with his exclusive attention from the hunger pangs or the not-appearing-soon-enough moon. This is a man in love, not the man who belittles his wife's concern by shouting a vague term like dating and expect her to understand the connotation and have blind trust in him in spite of a walking, talking proof.

The understanding man: Arnav realized that Khushi needs her financial stability to feel his equal. It's a big thing for homemakers. When they are solely dependent on their husband for every single thing, unless they are like Anjali and doesn't care, takes a toll on their self-confidence and Khushi was always a very independent woman.

The proud man: Arnav may have ridiculed Khushi's million business ideas in the past, but he appreciates and proud of his wife's entrepreneurial skills and never give up spirit. He gave his Di a bunch of credit cards, yet gave his wife a company of her own to run.
A business man like Arnav who understands the value of money because he had worked hard for it, won't have ever given Khushi her own business unless he trusted her ability. He is not a man who sinks money into useless ventures.
On the other hand, that might be an indication of a possible separation to come when Khushi becomes independent to support herself.

Now let's talk about Khushi, the gullible soul.

Khushi was always gullible enough to believe everyone. Unfortunately no amount of hard knocks has taught her otherwise.

1. Khushi sees Sheetal hanging around the poolside and helpfully points out her own thali. I'd have pointed out mamiji's thali just to see what Sheetal was upto.

2. She doesn't completely trust her. Hence, she took all the channis (the round things with holes) with her, so Sheetal can't have them. But left the water pot there. I'd have taken my thaali and let other's handle theirs. Sheetal is threat to my marriage. She is no threat to anyone else.

3. Khushi sees what Sheetal did. Yet, stood there thinking to herself. I'd have walked up to her and ask her what the hell she is doing touching my thaali which I saw with my own eyes. Sheetal can deny fasting all she wants, but she won't be able to deny what I saw with my own eyes and the family will (hopefully) will believe their bahu more than a guest. And I'd have a legitimate reason to be upset regardless whether she kept fast or not because the thaali of karva chauth is sacred to every wife.

4. Hari Prakash gets Khushi the DNA report in her name. Since when an official report comes unsealed? Mind you, this is the same dumb idiot who took Shyam exchanged, Shashi's pink medicine with Dadi's brown ones without realizing the difference in colour, shape and size.
Also, this is the same guy who let Shyam's camera people in to fit security cameras everywhere.
Funny, no one, not even Arnav investigated how the hell Shyam fitted those cameras. How the hell this huge security breach happened. But then, the people in RM will never learn no matter how many Sheetal or Shyam come in their life. Gullibility runs in the family and it got enhanced by Khushi's presence.

5. Sheetal said to everyone in dining table that Aarav went to sleep. But the moment Khushi and Arnav are alone in their room, Aarav arrives in his regular clothes and asks "a favour" with no sign of sleepiness.
Not to mention, the so-called concerned mother doesn't even realize that her son, who sleeps in the same bed as her is not in bed. Another lie that could have been caught red-handed.
I'd ask Sheetal in front of the family that you said Aarav was in bed. Then why is he up so late? Doesn't he have school tomorrow?

Now let's move on to Sheetal...

Like I said the very least she is an obsessed character, the most she is a conniving witch. So please don't tell me that she is a poor and desperate mother because if she was indeed a positive character, then

1. She would leave RM the moment she realized Khushi was up to no good and trying to find out Aarav's father.

and

2. Realize that now that Arnav is married, she has no right to keep the vrat. If just by having a child gives you a right to maintain a vrat, then every divorced/single mother would keep fast for their ex which is stupid excuse. It's not like she is adding additional years to Arnav's lifeline by keeping extra vrat on top of Khushi.

So this woman is up to no good. And the sooner Arnav and Khushi realize that the better for their marriage.

Now let's move on to the family.

The family hears Sheetal telling them Aarav is in bed, but him playing chess so late at night with Arnav doesn't surprise them or make them think why this 5 year old is up past his bedtime and where the hell is the mother?

Aakash and Payal are again back playing their favourite record of let's-compare-another-woman's-child-with-my-married-bhai-in-front-of-his-wife... Payal so conveniently forgot how tensed she was to hear about Aakash's "friend" bubbly before she arrived even though she was not his ex and how Khushi understood her concern. Today, she is very sweetly returning the favour by comparing another woman's child with her own sister's husband.

Well, like I said, if insensitivity could be sold, RM would make a fortune...

@Tia:I agree with you.

Why can't Khushi sense that Sheetal is faking it?
Why suddenly Sheetal felt like fasting?
And why is she making it obvious to Khushi that she is fasting for Arnav?
