Note to CVS: Arnav and Khushi's characterization - Page 6

I am just disgusted at yesterday's episode. I don't usually complain or bash as I always want to wait and see what the CVs are trying to show, but I guess bad phase in life makes you less prone to optimism.

I understand Khushi's need to know the truth about Araav , what I don't get is Arnaav's behavirou AT ALL!! YEs, they were friends and Sheetal and Arnav has got along well but A BASKETBALL match and the way he was looking... I also get that old flings have a special place in your heart no matter how much you love your current partner.. it's as if there is an inclination towards being proven to maintain importance in that person's life (an ego thing I'd say)... Despite saying all that, I am upset and that too deeply...

I couldn't even make myslef watch the entire episode as I didn't want Khushi to be humiliated! CVs might have the notion that making a fool out of her adds the comic notion to the script but this is NOT COMEDY it is humilation and thus a TRAGEDY!!

I do understand the point of this track. Khushi hailing from a different stratum of the society would always feel insecured in her all too posh hubby's life, esp if faced with a stylish ex-gf. Yes, she has encountered that phase with La, but this is after their marriage and that too with a KID involved. Insecurity makes you do crazy things..

I know I sound as if I am swinging to justify CVs and then to bash, but I am just upset over the WHOLE basketball charade ( never liked this concept at all, overused in DMG and has become irritating to me; although I am an avid fan of the sport)

I wish I could smack CVs for making me create this confusingly frustrated post when I am supposed to be working and getting ready for work!!

BTW, THANKS A LOT FOR THE POST!! You summed it all up perfectly!

Very well said... Completely in agreement with whatever you have told... What is being disliked by most of US here is the character assasination of both arnav and kushi... This track would not have been bad if arnav is shown as ASR towards sheetal... We cannot take up when they show things which just spoils the past...

Please act up quick and bring back the arnav and kushi whom we can relate to

I am in total agreement with you! The reason why this track is SO un-palatable to so many people, is because of the way they have CHANGED the essense of the Arnav and Khushi charachters to suit this track! They have messed with the GOLDEN EQUATION, which is ARHI!!!

In ALL lame tracks, this was the ONLY thing that kept us sane and hanging on! Especially ASR! They CANNOT mess with him, coz this whole story was based on his brooding nature due to tragic family past! He was NOT a regular guy! THAT was the point of the story! HE was damaged! He had issues. Trust issues mostly! He overcame those and gave Life AND Love a chance because of Khushi! He slowley changed into Arnav! (the guy he was always capable of being, but always kept hidden, sometimes even from his sister). We saw glimpses of him! (During the scene where he helps the little girl with the pegions, coz her Dad is ill. When he pays Khushi's Fathe'rs hospital bills, when he realizes he needs to apologize to Khushi because he misunderstood her good intentions when condling with him RE his parents death! He realized she DID know what she was talking about, coz she lost her parents too!). THIS was the charm of ASR! THIS was the flawed man we fell MADLY in love with! Barun bought him to life, but the CV's CREATED him! He was a BEAUTIFUL creation! NOW they are messing with this thing of beauty!

Khushi: She was imperfect too. Flawed as well! BUT she didnt have TRUST issues! She was VERY secure in her love and trust towards the people in her life! She trusted her loved ones and GENERALLY trusted in the goodness of people! (Unlike ASR). THIS is why she found Shyam's Betrayal SO hard to handle! This was her FIRST experiance of someone she trusted and cared for Double crossing her! Not just her, but her family too! Her TRUST was totally shattered and SHE was shattered too! The "Shyam" incident changed Khushi, but she TRIED not to let him make her so bitter than she changes her innate Nature! THIS is the reason that in the end, aganist all odds, ASR could not help falling in love with her all over AGAIN, after forcibly marrying her out of Mistrust!

But THIS Khushi we now see, has MAJOR trust issues! She is unable to trust the man she loves EVEN when he has point blank told her he is NOT this child's father! Sheetal is playing "Mind Games" with Khushi and she is playing into her hands!

The thing about this track is that they needed to ALTER the innate natures of both ASR and Khushi to ACHEIVE their end! They needed to show that ASR had a "Regular guy" side to him! (How else will they make Khushi jelouse by showing him reminising with Sheetal). They needed to make Khushi be someone "Un-ethical" who will read a person's dairy, coz she is OVERCOME by Paranoia!

I think people are finding this VERY hard to hadle coz somewhere trying to JUSTIFY this track, they have done total "In-justice" to Arnav, Khushi and ARHI! They have made a mockery out of some of the things about the two of them we LOVED and held strong to in the past 17 months! WHY the CV's did this is beyond my understanding! Did they HONESTLY think that people would accept ASR as anything but the man they ORIGINALLY introduced to us? (Taking us to his collage days and suggesting he was a regular guy with NO issues??). Also, with Khushi, did they really think we will ACCEPT Khushi as THIS paranoid, that she has started to be two faced and lying?? CV's have seriousley mis-calculated their scope to change ARHI! They CANT change their essential "Natures" and expect people to ACCEPT a track! NO WAY!

NO "Die Hard" fan of this show, OR ARHI would accept it! THIS is why they are getting backlash! It is NOT the track, it is the execution!

@ preethi.saseeda - you're right. they need to act fast...some viewers are more patient than others. The ones who are less patient, will move on to other shows. Thanks for your comment.
