When she fought with him initially in lavanya's case/or when she was working for him, she did not know him, but when she married him she got to know the real Arnav. Which is why she never asked for an explanation or held a grudge against him.

She has been shown questioning why he did what he did to her many a times before she came
to know why he married her. When she understood why he had done so, she couldn't hold the grudge anymore, because she had always feared a misunderstanding from his part if he would ever come to know about Shyam being the man who had been engaged to her. They have always given an explanation to what they showed, we just expect a bit too much out of everything.

Yes, we do expect too much. But then we are entitled to our expectations. They set the expectation by showing the episodes before the hate marriages. We don't expect as much from any other show.

Why? Because they never showed what they were capable of doing.

If they can't meet their own set standard, then we are entitled to complain about it. People bashed Shahrukh Khan or Hrithik Roshan when they made crap movies because they know what they are capable of. No one bashes Tushar Kapoor for crap acting.

If you go watch a movie and it's crap when you know that the team had delivered blockbuster before, you'd bash the movie for wasting your hard-earned money and time on it.

Why should IPK be any different or entitled to special treatment?

Thas why so many posts saying Arnav was right when he was supporting Anjali and not giving the same importance to khush...It was like...she s his family...and Khushi has just come into his life...do you expect him to 'sacrifice' his sister etc???
And this stems from the fact that a wife is expected to adjust always...and treat the husbands family like her own..so obviously their interests would be above hers..skewed logic but thas how It is..

@ prettypri - Along with you and a lot of like minded people out here, i hate the fact that a wife is supposed to adjust because it's expected. This logic sucks to the core and if people don't change it themselves they are in trouble. It's always about adjustments and expectations from a wife. Which is why i love husbands who go all the way in supporting their wives and stand up for them. It's a wrong tag they get for being that - 'hen pecked' while it should be "responsible and right'

It's hard for me to understand because precisely for this double standard I married a Canadian guy. The day Indian woman starts to ask for their rights, is the day they will start to matter. But we teach woman in our society to keep their expectations at the rock bottom and not to be demanding wife and tell the men that God forbid you care about your wife's feelings, only wimps and sissies do that.

Strange that a woman completely devoted to her husband is considered the reincarnation of Goddess but a man completely devoted to his wife is a wimp or sissy.

tia
there is no use telling
because many Indian girls toe the line
and i am leaving out the girls from middle east
I am educated
I am very high ip in my job
Yet I too have to play the role of the bahi and nanad and all to the hilt
some part of it I like as I genuinely like my in0laws
But when I hate it is when I have to be nice to those I simply hate too
But then as I have grown older
I have chosent to try and just be formal with those
and stay away
my husband is Ok
he takes my sides many times
but then he too has a strong family lineage
and there I get caught

Rarity yes, unfortunately.. But society can change..it's not tough..women abiding by the rules giving and giving in all the time and treated like doormats should change.. Alas! it'll take a lonnng time.. you are right, people turn towards fiction coz in reality it's a far cry..
