It would definitely be good to watch if this track plays out the way you've put it. It would bring the intensity back, and save us all from wondering whether we're watching IPK or a cuter version of the evergreen YRKKH, where ASR has morphed into some weird tired-looking chhokra who keeps saying sorry to his mahaan wife who has a 'save-the-world' complex. But, and that's a BIG but, the past record is, to put it mildly, not very promising. NONE of the issues, except the Arnav-Lavanya breakup lived up to their potential. The past, the marriages, the miscarriage- nothing. So I don't have high hopes. That is probably the reason why a lot of people, including me, do not want this kid to be Arnav's, simply because the writers in the past have always failed to deal with these issues with even a modicum of sensitivity. If this goes wrong, it will be just another nail in the coffin for what once used to be a fantastic show.
Also, I find it extremely weird that the kid is shown exactly to be like Arnav. I mean, come on, the clothes, the 'what the', the gritting of the teeth. It's like they've put a poster on him saying -"Guess who I remind you of?" Either it's all a saazish or just plain silly on part of the CVs. & about the reaction of that Sheetal chick to ASR, I don't know. Instaed of looking happy or sad or uncomfortable, the actress looked just plain confused to me. Or maybe it's just me.
Whatever it is, we can be pretty sure that a MU is on its way. & I am dreading Khushi's reaction to it. I've always felt that Khushi and Anjali are the most difficult characters to get right, and lately the creatives have failed miserably with both. If this track goes the love-child way rather than the plotting vamp-way, Khushi is the one who can make it or break it. Arnav is easy- confused, hurt, guilty, angry; but Khushi, now that's a real challenge, both for the writers and Sanaya. Will they, won't they, that is the question.😆
PS- I hated the kid in the introductory episode. Now I think it was just all the lauki juice all over my eyes and brain speaking. He's definitely cute. I loved that bored, why-am-I-here-again 'hi' he said to Khushi in that toy-shop. It was so perfect that I'll be blasphemous and say it's in the league of his father-or-not's famous dhak-dhak inducing delivery of that same dialogue.
