I really, truly, honestly do not understand all the hate towards the new track. This has so much more potential for conflict than the saas-bahu drama I was dreading. Or OMG IMAGINE IF IT HAD GONE THE YRKKH way and started showing just famalam day-to-day life. No wonder Aakash and Payal are 'moving out'...

Okay. So Arnav has a kid (WHO I LOVE OMG I LOVE AARAV- IS THAT PAEDOPHILIC? POSSIBLY. I DON'T EVEN CARE. LOVELOVELOVE HIM, what a little brat. That kind of bratty behaviour I found ridiculous in ASR I find absolutely, hilariously adorable in a kid).

I think that's brilliant. The consequences of carelessness in your youth. Repercussions of past actions coming to bite you in the arse.

Now if Arnav knew about Aarav and abandoned Sheetal, then I'd totally understand the anger and hate towards him, but that's not what happened. He slept with a girl in his youth... Okay, deep breath people. Calm yourselves. Of COURSE Khushi wasn't his first time- what exactly do you think he had Lavanya move in for?

Is it particularly surprising that Lavanya wasn't his first time either?

Bearing in mind that until he met Khushi, the man didn't believe in marriage- what, you expected him to remain celibate till death? Surrounded by models? Ladies please. Monk Raizada?

Iss Pyaar always aimed to show us something different. So let it. I freaking love Aarav to the point that I finally managed to update an FF inspired by the show that I haven't had inspiration to update in six months. Kid is brilliant.

I hope they don't do the typical 'worm her way in using Aarav and then try to split up Arnav and Khushi' thing with Sheetal but have her be a 'villain' in the same way Lavanya was a 'villain'. The woman is smart and talented and is successful on top of being a mother. If they show the woman as having morals and not trying to split up a married couple but being conflicted over how much of an input she wants Arnav to have in Aarav's life... How closely involved she wants to be in Arnav's life...

So, SO much potential I hope they don't miss out on: Arnav reeling from the knowledge he has a kid, Khushi's jealousy at meeting her husband's ex and the painful conflicting emotions of realising they have a son together. IT'S SO HOLLYWOOD DRAMA GDI I LOVE IT.

I'm actually excited to see how Khushi and Arnav handle this hurdle together- because as we saw with the Shyam-Revelation... Team ArShi is a force to be reckoned with.

I'm usually ever the cynic but I'm going to deviate from my norm and declare myself totally in for this. Yo CVs... please don't let me down, yeah?

Right post the above mushy-ness - I'm going to say i'm a bit ambivalent about the upcoming track - I'm not a huge fan of how quickly this track came about - but like you I do agree it's better than saas bahu drama and once again with the Arnav being a Monk/Virgin seriously GROW UP - the dude is a player - with oodles of money - if the CV's were dumb enough to say he was celibate I'd probably go say he was banging Aman behind closed doors.

As for how the whole track is dealt with - I have a few idea's about that to - lets see if the CV's can live up to expectations - but one thing I will say is KKG's wardrobe needs a decent clothing infusion BAD!

I find it hilarious that what people are having a problem with is not what the track could lead to (separation, Khushi's usual mahaan, if unnecessary self sacrifice to help everyone track) , but that this kid proves conclusively, that Arnav had a sex life. And if its not some trick, and he had a functional p***s that he used...good golly miss molly, assemble the villagers and the pitch-forks!

People cannot believe that their ASR would do this to them--its like a whole group of women got collectively cheated on by their imaginary boyfriend this Friday. It was better to read the posts literally showing people going through the five stages of grief than to focus on, as you pointed out, Arisai, HOW GODDAMN CUTE the kid is...

Shout out to the child actor, by the way...take that, creepy Bubbli--this is the way to do "little adult" without actually remindinh the audience of the kids from "The Shining" --this new kid combines very exact mannerisms of Arnav's with a very compelling screen presence. I really fell for him!

By the way, it delights me that this Production House is, in some ways, an asshole--they HAVE to know how many of their fans totally believe that the hero didn't have any fully functional lower body parts before Khushi fell on him to activate his dormant sex hormones. AND THEY WENT THERE!

Because. of course, you can be a FASHION DESIGNER with a LIVE IN girlfriend in this day and age, without having a sex life. There I said it--this is what pleases me the most about the track--the huge numbers of people having absolute fits at the non-virginization of their favorite virgin. There are people literally ready to get a petition together to get Khushi to divorce him for God's sake--all for having had relationships before he even knew she existed.

Now I wont lie--there is potential for all kinds of melodramatic bullshit, Arnav deciding to move Sheetal in to Raizada Mansion, her going the vamp route etc, Sheetal The Sexy Sauten, Khushi leaving her house and husband out of her usual saint complex of not wanting to come between a "family'. I shudder at the thought of these trite options.

But from what I have seen of the Sheetal girl's character so far, given how uncomfortable she was with interacting with Arnav, I took her to basically not be a creep. There was no real way of forcing Khushi to find and interact with this kid--it was co-incidence, and she didnt really follow it up with eagerly meeting Arnav. I took her shock to be genuine, at the office. And I dont think they had a dramatic past either, just boy--girl stuff thats standard in colleges.. Arnav's own pretty pleasant, guileless way of treating her--and the fact she doesn't want him near her, obviously--I am hoping that they'll go the dignified single mother route.

That she chose to have her son, she chose to not tell her college boyfriend about it, that they didn't have a dramatic or dark breakup, and she just went ahead with her life, and brought up her son without planning to run into her ex-lover eight years down the line to really ruin his life then. And now, years later, she doesn't really want her kid's biological dad to show up and is not looking to break up his home, or be a bitch to his wife. If they could deal with the way a kid is usually dealt with when these situations happen in the real world-with class, grace, and some amount of natural adjustment that doesn't cross the line--I would be, as a well known IF poster says, in "excitation."

But I'd still like to come back to IF to read about the viewers who literally have had their hearts broken at the prospect of a fictional character's potential sex life that possibly took place maybe prior to the start of their fictional show. Seriously. I'm eating the angst up.

LMAO I love you for this post! Yes agreed. There's definite potential for this track and handled in the right way, we just might get the old intensity back.

I for one am totally pro on the track.

I'd love to see a strong woman stepping out from her childish exterior and helping her husband overcome this difficult situation. He never meant to hurt her after all and this is a time he would need her support the most. It's going to show the true strenght of character and the trust and faith in her husband and their relationship.

This is major rabba ve material if handled in the right way.

I don't get what is wrong with you people! A child from another relationship is just DISGUSTING. What do you want Khushi to do now? Tell Arnav to kick Sheetal out of his life and accept the boy, while having Khushi as the wife???!?!? Thats messed up! How could Arnav just ignore the mother of his child?? And if he does make Shitall part of his life, then what about Khushi?!

Lets just say Khushi had another child from a previous relationship, and the father shows up with a child. You people want Arnav to accept the boy?!?! NO. You would probably bash Khushi, and Arnav would probably kick BOTH of them from Khushis life. But if its Arnav, then you guys want to see how Khushi deals with that.

What does this have to do with 'feeling' or not 'feeling' for her?

She was not a part of his life - He was not 'cheating on her - and he can't 'help' having a kid he doesn't know about - where is the logic in blaming him for a past relationship which to him is just that - a past relationship.

Her feelings and her reactions will be incredibly interesting to watch. She's such a strong character that seeing her struggle with both jealousy and loyalty will be phenomenal. And Sanaya's such a fantastic actor I'm thrilled she's going to finally get some SUBSTANCE in her character.

Don't call me an 'Arnav Supporter' you ludicrous person. I'm talking about the track being interesting not 'Who-Is-Right'. So please read my post properly before assuming you know what it says from the title.

As you and Hiru have said- there's a lot of potential to this but with that potential also comes the potential for them to completely mess this up.

This can either be an outstanding, GENUINE nayi-soch-esque plotline... or they could reduce it to crap.

Lmao I know right? The thought that Arnav remained a virgin for Khushi makes me actually laugh a little bit. Ahahahaaa forever at banging Aman.

I hope someone uses these petitions and sets one up to BUY Khushi new clothes if the stylists don't do something about it asap.
