t's good to get back to doing things that you always love…right.

Well…who better than Gul Khan to express the feeling. Yes, this talented lady…who is the co-founder of 4 Lions Films, has gone back to her passion of calling the shots. We mean…she is back to direction.

Gul had last directed on Indian television in 2002. Later she shifted her work base to Indonesia, wherein along with her husband Gorky, she went on to direct shows. Both, Gorky and Gul, even took lessons and learnt the local language to gain better finesse at their work. Returning to India, the duo launched the production house 4 Lions Films (Nissar Parvez is also a partner) which is coming up with a new show on Zee TV, Qubool Hai, starring TV heartthrob Karan Singh Grover. Now, Gul is the one who will helm the project.

"When we got back to India we had a couple of shows to produce (Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Arjun, Humse Hai Liife et al) and since we also do creative production, I got very busy with these things. So basically everything took so much time that there was no time to go on the field and direct. I had a choice between producing and directing and it was a tough choice. But now I am back to direction with Qubool Hai," shared Gul with Tellychakkar.com.

She further went on to say, "Today when I am back to direction (and I love it so much), I wonder what I was doing for four years. It does get hectic and tiring as there are other shows to be taken care of as a producer and you can't completely cut off from there but I love directing. However, I am not directing this show all alone… Arshad Khan is also one of the ship's captains."

Talking about the show she stated, "My focus is on Qubool Hai as it is very close to my heart. I enjoy doing this show especially because I do not have to do any research as I am from Bhopal. Hence, I know how people from there talk and behave hence it's been fun directing."

When asked if she'd also be writing for this show she said, "I have always been a writer-director for all my shows be it Rishtey, Sanjeevani, Shaheen or others. I always write what I direct… though currently we have Mrinal Jain who'd be writing for the show and I will do my bit."
