well, the way dadi is i feel this could have also happened:

Dadi used to torture Arnav's mother a la Lalita Pawar style.
Dadi blamed his father's affair on her and her her lack of keeping her husband happy...

I think, it is possible after all dadi is a case in herself!

She always says it is the women who should keep their hubbies under control and happy, otherwise they would elope with some other woman. I have one doubt, what would be arnav's grandfather's condition with Dadi. She might have kept him happy, under control definitely.
