I am writing today after a long time. It was such a beautiful, emotionally intense episode, It was one the best episodes we have seen in a while. Kudos to the cvs for coming up with such a poignant episode. 👏👏👏

I loved it in the first viewing although I was slightly disturbed by the poor editing. BDs are unavoidable at times and the editing team needs to do a better job. I loved the episode even more in the second viewing and it made moved me to tears. 😭

IPK never fails to amaze me. We speculated so much over the weekend and expected hot, sizzling, romance.😳 Can anyone blame us? 😆 The buildup was such that we couldn't think of anything else but passion and seduction. ☺️ But what saw today was the not something we imagined. When it comes to IPKKND, expect the unexpected.😛

The bet and the prank

So after all the suspense that made us lose our sleep over the weekend, Arnav Singh Raizada did not demand a kiss or more.😳 He played a silly prank on his sanka devi which is very much in his character. It might look uncharacteristic for ASR but if you look deeply, he was very much in character. This is not ASR but Arnav. This is chotey who played pranks on others as a kid. This is chotey who glued Akash to his bed. This is the 14 year old boy who had to give up his adolescence, had to grow up faster to be able to look out for himself and his di. But the boy is still in there, deep inside him and he resurfaces when he is with Khushi. He loves Khushi's simplicity, her innocence, her kiddish pranks because she reminds him of the boy he once used to be, the kid which he locked up inside his ASR shell. Khushi takes him back to his childhood, she makes him realize that it is okay be to relieve his childhood. This is why he drew a moustache on her face, this is why he shared his painful memories about his mother's suicide with Khushi and took her to the garden and shared memories of his childhood. He only opens up in front of her and talks about his past and memories he can't reminisce with anyone else. He does remember his happy childhood memories with Anjali, but he never talks about the painful memories even with his Di.

One thing we learned in Saturday's ME was that Anjali never shared her past with Shyam. It was a little surprising but wasn't really unexpected. What Anjali feels for Shyam is not really love but intense need. What she feels is obsession; she is emotionally dependent on him in an unhealthy extent. This type of love doesn't allow a person to grow and flourish, and that is exactly what happened with Anjali.

It showed clear contrast between Anjali-Shyam and Arnav-Khushi's relationship.

The Sapling

A sapling is a young tree with a slender trunk.

A sapling is also a young or inexperienced person.

Pauda ek per banta hai, aur hum sabko zindagi deta hai. Yeh paudha bhi ekdin bara sa per banega.

The sapling was planted and nurtured by Ratna Malik with the help of her young children, Anjali and Arnav. But she could not witness its growth because her life was cut short by an unfortunate event. The sapling grew over the years and is now a fully grown tree. The sapling grew alone, weathered all storms and now stands tall and firm on its ground with an imposing presence, just like Arnav Singh Raizada. The tree is in the center of the garden but looks isolated, not blending with the rest of the trees.

The tree represents none other than Arnav Singh Raizada, who is deep rooted and stands firm on his ground, with his branches spread out, protecting and sheltering his loved ones. When Arnav sees the tree, he sees himself, his life, his growth, and his memories. And that's why his name is carved into the trunk of the tree.

Until now he was all alone just like this tree, which stands out in the garden, but not quite belonging. But now he has Khushi, he is no longer alone, isolated, he belongs to someone.

Mom's blessing

Yeh mere liye duniya ki sabse special jaga hai, main kabhi kisiko yahan nahin lata. Yahan aata hoon to lagta hai maa aas paas hai.

His mother is no longer in this world, but she remains here in spirit. Her memories are alive in this garden. And that's the reason why Arnav took Khushi to the garden, to meet his mom, to know her and understand her. The rasams are for the world but to him, his mother's approval and blessing is the most important. Khushi is finally his wife, from this moment, with his mom's blessings.

Things to ponder

Tum inti khubsoorat ho, maine socha tumhe kisi ki buri nazar na lag jaye. It indicates that Arnav will protect Khushi from evil eye.

Bharosa nahin hai mujhpe? Do you trust me? He said it twice.

Last week it was Arnav who said, "Ek baar tumhara haath chor diya, dobara nahin pakroonga." It angered Khushi and she said she doesn't like such jokes. Arnav assures her this will never happen.

Today it was Khushi who said, "Reath ki tarah aap ke haath se nikal jaoongi". It angered Arnav and he reacted strongly.

Both the statements hint towards separation but Arnav's response to Khushi's statement and Khushi's response to Arnav statement indicate that no matter how much one tries to go away, they won't be able to let go of each other.

Nafrat paas aane na de, mohabbat door jaane na de.

Garima-dadi

I am not going to discuss much about it, except dadi is all about vengeance. When dadi entered, many people said Arnav resembles dadi in many ways. Today the difference between dadi and Arnav was highlighted. Arnav never punishes someone for someone else's crime/mistake. Even when he forcefully married Khushi, and believed she was having an affair with Shyam, he never punished her family. But dadi likes to play dirty.

Will Arnav follow his principles when he finds out about Garima?

How will Khushi react if she's forced to choose between her mother and her love?

Barun Sobti - This was one of your best performances in IPKKND. Every emotion was so real and touching, I felt as if I was there with Arnav. You portrayed it with so much subtlety, I could feel all of it. Absolute brilliance. I don't have enough words to praise this performance of yours. 👏👏👏

Sanaya Irani - You supported Barun very well and Khushi portrayed Khushi's excitement on seeing the garden, learning about Arnav's childhood, remembering the birthday beautifully. And I loved the moments when Khushi became teary eyed. 👏👏👏
