Parallels Drawn & What I Think Is To Come

In Hindsight, ever since the theme of Arnav and Khushi getting married as per proper rituals arose, things have been taking a direction. I say 'get married' and not 'remarry' not just from the family members point of view, but also as per the technical and legal point of views, cause the so called wedding in the temple had no witness nor was it legally registered, which doesn't give it a legal status. To add to that, it wasn't done as per the Hindu rituals so it doesn't get a religious seal either.

Yet like many of the viewers, for me too they are as married, as married could be cause they believe in their marriage, they are together in good times and bad and Arnav, who never cared about the institution always (while he misunderstood her and when truth dawned) believed her to be his wife and claimed so too.

So whether we call it their marriage or remarriage track... what had been deliberate are the constant parallels that are being drawn to where it all began!!!

During the roka ceremony we remembered the dupatta falling on Khushi, then at the engagement, Arnav reminded us about them completing the same ritual in the past too, the mehendi was the most obvious instance of a re occurrence and at the handi we waited for them to remind each other of them completing this one too.

Not just in terms of ceremonies, the moments also seem to be recreated! When Arnav mistook Khushi to have been in the accident, they had a show down and then there was a lot of flirting and romance that happened after that. Similarly when Khushi brought Shyam back (and I still cant believe she did that), they had a show down, ever since which romance quotient has been high. To add to that, situations are all coming back... they had a bet then and they again had a bet on who wins now, then Khushi won and now Arnav!

Now I think there is a reason these parallels are being drawn... they are reminding us of the past occurrences.. which is why our fears of what is to come is high cause the past has taught us that all that started in a beautiful romantic journey ended up in a hateful contract marriage.

Now where that is a possibility... I have a stronger feeling now that these parallels are meant to erase that past.

If you have seen the latest spoilers, it says Daadi inspite of having a confrontation with Garima will not just hold the truth from the family but will also accept Khushi. This has the smell of foul play.

This is what I think will happen!! She will hold her silence and on the day of the wedding, declare the wedding cant go through because Khushi is the daughter of the same woman who caused Arnav and Anjali's parents demise and also is responsible for Anjali's marriage being called off and her having to live with the stigma. She will hope to encash on Arnav's hatred for that woman and try to persuade him to punish her by bringing the same fate to her daughter that happened to his sister- being left at the mandap!

This would scream Deja vu now, won't it?? Because that day, that time Arnav witnessed and wrongly interpreted the terrace scene and punished Khushi by marrying her. All the love and moments that were built up were shattered and his hatred won.
So this day this time, when another truth is revealed, will that same Arnav take over??

I dont think so... cause he has learnt from mistakes past, he knows how much he has punished her already for no fault of his, he knows she almost died for him despite the way he treated her, he knows how much he loves her - Daadi and the rest don't!!!

They are going to expect him to react in the negative and so are we cause that is what he did the last time and all these reminders of the past are leading to a build up that seems just like the last time.
And that according to me is meant to be the point... build it up and change the outcome. Show how much he has grown in love... how that love has reformed him and then we will be able to redeem his of all the wrongs he has done to Khushi without a redemption track!!!

Really hope the cvs are sensible enough not to bring a hate track between the leads ,coz that would be childish and would be deter mental to the show and TRPs

I know everyone here expects Arnav will call off the wedding but i think he won't.

U r right about Dadi's plan she will surely reveal it on the wedding day and will expcet Arnav to call off the wedding but he won't do that.

another Parallel is also in the past shayam did evey trick to kill anjali, and failed, this time he is trying every trick to buy the affections of the family and is failing to.

last time his impromput confession to Khushi and Arnav invariabley tied them together in a so called marriage. this time maybe he is still playing cupid and indirectly throught Dadi past revelation, will tie them together in a real marriage.

And yeah.. I am thinking the same... what is the point of reminding us of the past if the end has to be the same... how would the characters have grown and what would it mean in terms of the story if what happened 6 months ago is to be repeated. Arnav is being portrayed to be complex.. where one minute you feel he has come a long way and the next minute you see the shades of the ASR he has always been. This is to keep us guess and going by his track record expect the worse and then boom.. surprise us!!! 😃

It cant be right... I mean how will it be different and a twist then??? We expect the worse cause he hasnt still completely convinced us of his love for Khushi being unconditional like hers has been proved during the kidnapping track. And if it all ends badly then how is it any different from the first wedding??

At the time of Payash's marriage, the MU led him to shed all his feelings for Khushi and get into a contract marriage as a means to punish her. He loved her then too but it didn't stand in front of his fury. The hatred he had for Shyam started at that point of time only and kept brewing till his truth was exposed in front of everyone.

Arnav's hatred for "the other woman and his dad" has been constantly bubbling for the past 14 years! it's not something which just started one fine day. He absolutely HATES the woman who broke up his family. There's no way he'll feel differently towards Garima just because she is Khushi's mum. However, Arnav loves Khushi too and he can't imagine living without her. But in his anger he'll say something to her without thinking and it will hurt her once again. (remember the fight that followed after K brought Shyam in) his ASR side will definitely kick in again and he'll tell Khushi to choose between her family and Arnav. That's what I think.

I do not think the marriage will happen.

I get where you are coming from. Arnav has not yet given us reasons to have utter faith in him to love Khushi unconditionally. Loves her deeply, oh yeah he does now, but his temper and it clouding his reasoning no matter how temporarily is his biggest flaw. Yet while you recall the instances you mentioned, I on the opposite recall these..

• He knows and regrets the mistake he made by judging the terrace scene too quickly... he has acknowledge that before Nani, before Khushi and before the entire family saying he knows the circumstances they married in. He knows his action deeply hurt her and almost ruined her life. Thats a lesson learnt.
• He hates his father and the other woman for being the cause for her mother to take her life, leaving Anjali and him alone and orphaned. Yet while he always consoled Anjali to let go of the past and always concealed his emotions, Khushi is the only one he ever opened and seemed to want to open his heart out and even cry in front of. Infact this also was a reason why he felt betrayed when Khushi got Shyam back cause barley had he let her into his soul she took a step that was most forbidden without consulting him even after their discussion on the same earlier.
• He told Daadi clearly, for him Khushi is an orphan just like him who was taken in and raised by her aunt and uncle. He knows Khushi and loves her and nothing else over and above that is important for him to know. He respects the Guptas cause she loves them, yet when the same people got mad at her, raised their hand, he was ready to wage war and had to be calmed down. So for me he doesnt see them as one and the same.

But then... these are just our views.. lets see what the makers think of this and what they have planned!! 😊
