Tants, its difficult to learn kannada at bangalore... Bangalore people are mostly multilingual... so they readily speak in other languages that the other person is comfortable with...The little kannada I picked up was during the 4 months I stayed at Mysore... and then When I travelled in BMTC buses for a couple of months in bangalore... sometimes my colleagues help me with grammer...
