I thought about this for a while on how to handle this current situation of "curbs on fundamental freedom of expression rights".

Here is a Complaint on the Complaints and Suggestions Thread -- you can go comment on it if you want to:

What the Mods are doing is WRONG. They have no right to ILLEGALLY impose their set of rules on a public forum especially one where they make money because we are the MEMBERS! If they dont have us as members, they cannot claim the stats they claim on the first page which is the reason for the Ads on the forum. IPK is the Biggest of all the forums in terms of Members.

So, I thought I should just make a post explaining that this illegal crap that is on going is just not acceptable.

Like I told my friends on Rima's post, me taking direct legal action on this is kind of embarrassing. I cannot tell my Lawyer that I am in love with a damn Indian soap and that I am bringing a law suit against the guys that run the forum where we discuss our "feelings" because they are not allowing us to!!! Kind of like actually telling them that I am a "cross dresser!".

So guys if you want to fight for your right to be able to express yourselves, go an comment on this.

Thanks again,

Cheers.

The current state of affairs...

No freedom of speech/criticise

This is how members are suppose to act

This is how any protestor will be dealt with

We will still protest

Even if our posts are sent to

May we be victorious

Credit to the owners...own nothing...

Its going to be difficult we to survive on the forum if we can not criticize Daljeet or Anjali when the requirement arises.

I agree sometimes it goes over board but lately every & any post made on against Anjali being shut down lately - pms seems to be a lot more better way to express our thoughts but that defeats the existence of a forum then.

a public forum is for expressing the opinions
everyone has an opinion
it might not be same for everyone
we may not agree but that doesnot mean we should stop discussing the show altogether
if it is about anjali,it is closed
even shyam's character was bashed and his morphed pics made their way into the forum
abhaas got deatht threats, but never once mods intervened
but when it comes to anjali and daljeet, why such special treatment
if this goes on,ipk forum may not be active anymore
people will go in search of other platforms where they can express their thoughts freely
without being attacked for pointing out something or being under strict scrutiny

I am highly disappointed with Mods and their highly biased rules that's explicitly prohibiting members from presenting their unbiased opinions in a public forum. As an Indian citizen and being routed to a law based family origin, I am well aware of certain facts that must be highlighted at this juncture.

I would like to mention that Freedom of speech enjoys special position in India. The importance of it can easily be understood by the fact that preamble of constitution itself ensures to all citizens to make use of this right either verbally or through writing..!!

Now my question is, when preamble has reinforced our rights, how come the Moderators in a public forum r so adamant to stop it's members from voicing their viewpoint...that also unethically?? Nobody... I repeat nobody absolutely has the right to go against constitution and forum Mods and their illegal rules come under the same category...

When a person overnight becomes a public figure, 50% of his/her personal life comes under the public arena hence it's discussable..!! Personal life should and must be limited to that actor's family, friends and gatherings. But when the same actor steps into her professional horizon...she, as a phenomenon becomes worth criticizing...

Henceforth I deserve and demand a straight cut as well logical explanation to my above query!!

actually so far as we are not attacking people or hurting others (real forum member), anything should be allowed. if people are angry with anjali or daljeet for that matter they should be allowed to say it because they are free citizens. i wud only say people should watch the language, other than that everything shud be acceptable in a democratic forum

If todays episode is again like fridays-- i will refrain from coming to the forum cz i will not be able to resist myself from venting out my frustration-- and with the warning levels, the risk of getting banned is high...

But yea, if members are not attacked and discussions are done keeping the rules in mind, i dont see anything wrong in bashing a character-- its just a fictional character for crying out loud.. How can we discuss and debate if everyone goes on singing praises?

It is a sad state of affairs if people dont understand that "telling someone else what they can say and what they cannot" is just plain wrong.

We all have moral standards -- we dont want to call someone names. I for one hate it when I have to call people names. But, we cannot judge others by that standard! See everyone has a different way to express their emotions! Some are calm and some just lose it. We cannot just start policing the ones that lose it and tell them they have to change -- they were born that way!

The fundamentals of any society come from "acceptance" and "tolerance". We accept everyone and tolerate the ones that we dont LIKE!

A forum like this with thousands of people interacting is a microcosm of the entire society. We cannot "control" others to be like us!!!

Cheers.
