My loyalty to ipkknd speaks volumes from the fact that I've made a YouTube account solely because I was tempted to comment on the videos. However, I would admit that it was a disturbing experience. And though I loved the serial, I felt a misfit watching it, because ironically I kind of still am such a person who is revolted by the commercialization of art/drama.
However, I should thank some comments on episodes uploaded for it is through them that I found redux. And redux was truly a reawakening
It was here that ppl wouldn't just drool over ASR's smirk but would unfurl meanings behind it. It was here that you wouldn't hurl curses at the antagonists but acknowledge the players for doing justice to the characters and thanking them for acting so brilliantly that we end up hating the character not them! Thanx a bunch to the formers of this platform which is a breather for me because being a literature person I knew there was more to this serial than mere pleasure, and you have no idea how relaxing it is to know that I was not hallucinating.

Coming to the serial, I don't think I'll be analyzing much today, or in the future for that matter as I prefer to be a silent reader.
Anyways, I got hooked to ASR because he reminded me of Heathcliff, the fierce lover. Especially the episode when ASR screams in pain after discovering Shyam and khushi on the rooftop, that scene for me was like a re-enactment of Heathcliff's howling in pain at Catherine's death!

Furthermore a while back we heard the heart warming declaration of the lover's 'saansain ruk jana' if one goes away from the other! This declaration was like 'how can you live with your soul in the grave' for Heathcliff.

For Arnav and Khushi there is no them without the other. A part of ones soul resides in the other completing them. Feeling each others presence, telepathic conversations, all are justifiable because they have lost each other in the other and rediscovered themselves all over again! I dont know how much that stands true for Khushi but for Arnav that definitely is the case. Arnav was lost somewhere under the shell of ASR, a shell that only khushi could penetrate, in doing so she hasn't made him lose his identity rather she's made him rediscover himself.

I won't deny that I still long for the Byronic ASR but then my grinning like a Cheshire cat watching the Arhi scenes is proof enough that I don't mind the changed Arnav at all.

However, in today's episode, we witnessed another aspect of our ASR. So far we'd only seen Arnav opening up to Khushi, but his conversation with Nani after the Dadi-Arnav confrontation, showed him in a different light. He looked like a 14 year old teenager who'd recently discovered his fragmented family and lost his parents. The pain was so tangible along with the fear that he does not want to face the same tempest again. It has taken him years to compose himself. He Is now afraid, someone like ASR afraid of the past. Makes me wonder what was in it, how horrific was that particular horror movie!

Arnav giving Di's medicines to Payal! so he trusts the sisters with Anjali more then he trusts anyone else! Gives me a feeling that he might be leaving RM, and giving his di's responsibility to Payash!

Mami jee for a change was a pleasant delight to watch, even her taunts had a flicker of love in it today. Unlike dadi, She was thoroughly enjoying and doing justice to both the occasions. The balance is appreciated!

I don't want to say anything about the Arhi scenes Coz they for me are a delight I wish to savor unadulterated!

Lastly, thankyou for bearing with me and thankyou for redux, I can't thank enough.
