We had all the ingredients yesterday!!

An episode full of Arshi!

A depiction of true love

A comparison of the other kind of love - the selfish one!

Still - many of us felt that there was something missing.

There is a whole lot missing now a days in the IPK land,,,,,,,,,

Rushed episodes leading to below par screen play and mediocre direction. There are multitudes of examples - the whole Roka ceremony, entry of Shyam and Anjali yesterday, the rushed I love you the way you are segment, bad characterization...I can go on and on...

The only silver lining is our superb leads, who manage to salvage the situation with their beautiful screen presence, great chemistry and superb emoting!

Yesterday, even that did not work - Sanaya was great and gave it her best and even though Barun did a great job, he was not quite in the moment. A dull body language and somehow he did not seem to be there! Guys don't get mad but I love him very much too and so very attuned to what he does great and what he misses. Maybe a bad day at work after all the festivities😆 Or maybe the bad scripts are getting to him too. As he says the script is the king and writers have made him who he is😊

Not sure if the makers of IPK are resting on past laurels and feel safe in handing on the cudgels to someone else so that they can take care of new ventures.

There is a new writer for IPK - Jainesh - he has written, created stories, screenplays for 7 Kekta serials - Kekta - need we say more. Looks like he is brought on to move the TRP meter and deal with the challenge of multiple tracks. Hope his previous experiences will not play out in IPK 😡 THAT WILL BE REAL BAD NEWS! I don't want to take anything away from him but I hope he has got the essence of IPK, how ever the latest episodes prove otherwise.

With three different tracks running they obviously will have rushed episodes to reach the remarriage track with a lot of drama resulting in appeasing the channel and TRP maate.

Result is the insipid episodes we had and bad promos as they are confused about what will bring the audience and what they need to concentrate on.

Love the show too much to see it going down and also going up the wrong path.

The reason for the post is to make suggestions to the IPK team on what is working and what is not as they do read our posts. Let it be constructive and not a bashing one.

Even Sanaya said it in SBS jokingly!!

Agreed with all the things you posted. Just want to comment on the following line because it has been bugging me since I saw the episode yesterday.

"Barun did a great job, he was not quite in the moment. A dull body language and somehow he did not seem to be there!"

I totally agree about him "not being there". I would attribute it to the writer and director for wanting to show him in a patronizing manner rather than his original self. He could have been shown as being a little exasperated with Khushi instead of being complacent.

He could have apologized when Khushi got upset by pulling her up for a romantic dance and told her "i love you the way you are"

That was all that was needed.

I cannot agree with you..its because we expect a Lott...And every serial has their pors and cons...i did nt find any fault...ph are doing their best our duty is to just sit back and relax... pl let is not be negative..when sp are getting worldwide recognition and lot of money they do nt have any problem as such...

You maybe right. I commented about that in another post and yes I mentioned the celebrations too in the post😆

Thanks for the reply, like I mentioned in the post... this is not negative but something to help the IPK team to set right what is not going well. I am relaxed and love the show to the core but when something does not seem right we do need to let them know to rectify so that the show will go on and on and on😆

I have to agree with you on the fact that "something" is not clicking! Ultimately the root cause has to be in directing and editing! Nothing gets finished and they keep bringing in new plots! You are dead on that the only saving grace are Barun and Sanaya but lately I have to admit I am not sure if I am watching Barun or ASR/Arnav.
