Hi Sush,

thanks for starting this post.

For the past few weeks i been seeing the spark in this show diminishing...

I feel ASR since after the kindnapping has not been the same..

I feel badly for Khushi... it seems she is into this show with all her heart but the rest of the cast are just drudging along...

I feel ASR is not in his element at all. This is not how he would behave even if it wwas a redemption track.

I get a feeling that they are running out of things to show and are unsure of when they want to end the show. I think just like Navya this show will end abruptily... all the hype about the past is just going to be that ... a hype

I almost feel sad watching this show these days. its like trying to spark ones love life but not having feeling for the other person...

@clove totally agree with no need for ASR to be imitating Khushi, grinning like that through out...

Also agree with you and Garima...that everyone seems so disconnected...ARnie didn't even have his intense gaze...They totally killed IT today...this was Arhi without spark...a FIRST?

Mzseena you cracked me up with your comment about trying to build a spark in a love life with no feelings...THAT BAD HUH? This is a SAD day in IPKKND! 😃

Guys, let's look for some positivity. Is this week - starting from sometime last week...like one of those off days at work that everything falls short despite your best efforts, nothing goes right kind of days? Everyone could see the underlying message but the impact was lost., something like a soda bottle without its fizz. Maybe these guys just need a decent break from the sets, i dunno...See the good thing is, this lowers the bar for expectation so lesse disappointment and hopefully an upward curve soon.

But here's something to ponder on, how do you sketch an asr in love? How do you strike balance?

ASR in Love- I would want him to retain his stern persona but with that underling hint of warmath he always had with his Di.

ASR does not smile. And he doesn't need to. Barun is a fabulous actor and his eyes are his biggest asset. They can very well convey what he feels for Khushi without going over board with smiles and puckering of lips and dramatic expressions.

Now I never expected an expressive ASR. Too much smiling, too much facial expressions were never ASR's forte.

Now this is the tricky bit where actor and director really needs to work on the finer details of expressions. You cant go mushy but his eyes must be able to convey the change of how he regards Khushi.

They can also show this with a direct contrast of other family members. The way he behaves around Khushi, how he opens upto her would not be for other people. They can have several scenes to show how different he is when he's with Khushi.

Today's (rather yesterday) episode lacked that intense expressions of Arnav.

The opening scene where Khushi enters and Arnav looks at her could have been much more finer in detail. He could have shown a more smitten ASR with long drawn out eye contact and a blushing, shy, nervous Khushi going for a date for the first time with her love.

Once seated, ASR could have been shown more flirty, suggestive and physical than be so candid and relaxed. They have just stared their relatiionship, They can't in noway be so relaxed around each other like a couple married for 5 years.

This where we feel they lack chemistry. That frission, the demandng smirking, daredevil of an ASR was not there.

Thanks for that response CDlove, Like I said, it was like a soda bottle without the fizz. All sugary but our boy is diabetic! May be there is something going on inside cuz the lack of excitement / conviction is palpable and comes across in the scenes. And tbh, he just did not look the part yesterday. May be he was unwell or the director missed a cue! Just like khushi's risotto without all the necessary condiments., it was just going through the motions. They need to inject some fresh set of heads in the creative mix to spice up things, and bring in some unbiased perspective and ideas. Let's hope they'll bounce back soon enuf., before everyone's patience runs out completely.

ASR in love, now that's proving to be a tough one to etch out for them. Personally I think the simpler the better, arnav to her, asr to everyone else. But where do you draw the line between asr and arnav, or between arnav now and arnav before life changed him to asr? Can we argue that this ever smiling arnav is the boy who was lost fourteen years back and it comes alive with her around because there are no needs for guards and any pretences around her?

Your points are valid and I do think they are attempting that but at the same time this balancing act is proving to be tricky for them.

Hope they remember you can please all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot please all the people all the time. And just stick to what they know and do best!

Sush - We seem to be in sync. Last week was a disaster, today was all about damage control. Have Arhi on for 15 mins and make the audience happy.

That did not quite do it for me. Arhi scenes are not the same anymore. It is more upsetting because it feels like there is a story somewhere but the director and teh actors are not giving their 100%. NK has been very consistent , so no complaints about him . Akash has so much potential but he is completed neglected. Till date , Sanaya has never slipped but today was a diferent story altogether. We have seen Barun slip quite a few times, he struggles to keep the ASR-Arnav balance and Ratna is absolutely right about him. He needs to be given constant reminders and the director seems to be slacking off.

Sorry, I'm being very negative but my addiction with IPK is going downhill pretty fast. Nissar was probably correct in saying that there is not much of a story left after confession happens and that's teh phase we are in at the moment.

Completely agree with you CDlove! Their characterization of Arnav in love is completely inadequate...A complete miss yesterday...Absolutely great point about them acting like a couple married for 5 years...no underlying tension...ASR shouldnt go arond TALKING about his feelings and behavior EVEN when he does things differently...It is a fine point that is completely lost on them...

Soda without fizz is right Spirit! Those words for Arhi...This is a sad moment indeed! It is tough to decide where the line is between ASR and ASR in love ...but that would have been the interesting part...not wiping the line out in one stroke...and focusing on the silly ...

.Don't even talk abou the risotto Spirit...! I guess it was missing the flavor like our ASR himself...otherwise...it is salty by nature and does not need extra salt...

.And yes...ASR in yesterday's episode should have gone for a check up for the excessive sweetness...and that too for a dish that is liked for being salty!!!!

Raizadas have a wonderful social circle...Every time they come to RM they insults least one memeber of the host family...

Shyamu was so busy doing whatever he was doing...may be he just finished reading 101 ways to be a villain part 2! 😉</font>

I hear that these pants are a rage and were a big part of this years LAkme fashion show or something...!!!

There was everything that i totally detest in the show today - Shaymu, silly friends and family or a goau bharayi, Anji all decked up for what ???

I so love your posts lately...they make me laugh ...i can sonehow visualize you fuming with smoke coming out of your ears 🤣

Wasn't it last Monday you called the episode Perfect with the Arnie Roka ...Something is up in the background. it seems the core team is changing or something...
