yes the mellowed part of their relationship is a bit new

I wish the magic was a little bit dimmer ...I mean in ambiance... that could have been achieved with the usage of some candles... and as Harshitha pointed do away Di & Bhooth for their first date at least... and then as you pointed out the drive back home and dropping the girl off at the door step would have made it more complete... no I won't go as far as kiss as that is NEVER going to happen...
recently all the intimate scenes seem to be under very bright lights unlike the first "Diwali night" scene... can't help noticing ...unfortunately this is the side effect of writing too many romantic scenes in FFs 😉... unrealistic expectations are being set

All GH has to do is google. A slow grooving dance with Arnav whispering sweet things into Khushi's ear would've done wonders for the sequence.

I miss LM too. The pace he set for a sequence was fantastic. I even felt that the roka episode was a bit rushed. When they can drag Anji's drama for 2 days then why not Arhi's?!

And I know almost every scene until holi by heart. But after that... :S

I saw Khushi doing a little dance in SBS and thought that was part of the episode... when they just got up and walked away I am like "What the ___?"
I totally agree about the scenes after holi... I still think the holi intimacy was the best... the way they confessed to each other with so much passion... that is why I was not happy with Khushi's abrupt "Hum bhi aap se I love dammit" ... It was nothing compared to "Jab bhi aap hamare paas aate hai to hamari dil ki dhadkane kyun tez ho jaati hain?"
Now,every time I see something missing I feel they are keeping the best for later... but now I am afraid there is no later... what you see is what you get...

I haven't seen a post of his on "Visual effects" topic yet...but it is a no-brainer ... everyone knows bright lights is big mood killer for a romantic set up ...
they even butchered the Suhaag Raat scene by making it a senseless comedy... they could have just shown Arnav surprising Khushi with a gift and decorating the room with candles instead of telling her they were going to do the suhaag raat rasm... she was going to stop him anyway

here i found what maverick wrote:

The example I take is the "mehendi start" day -- it is the day after she wins the Sangeet Competition with his help. First, he started with keeping her away from the rest of the Gupta Bunch -- she followed them and was eating her fav Jalebi -- see he got us to think that she is already worried about the stuff he did to her the night before -- specifically the line "Tumhare Isharon Pe Na sahi, tumhare saath to nacha hain. Thanks Nahin bologi" -- if you picked up on his voice there -- there was a specific change. You will observe the same change in voice (directors tell their actors what they need from them and good ones deliver!!) -- On the first song when he goes to her and tells her "lagta hain mere bina tumhara koi kaam hi nahin banta" -- he wasnt yelling -- he was very soft. This was all reflected beautifully when she walks into through that door (back to present time on Mehendi day) -- arranged in such a way that he answers the door. Then there is the "Hi" -- listen closely to the voice -- I have had this happen to me before -- when you are actually intoxicated your voice changes -- He is intoxicated -- she is confused. His "Hi" is soft! This is direction.

Then he lets her in, calls her from behind -- Lalith lets this scene linger -- Brilliant because when there are good moments, as humans we want them to last -- that is the only way we can "feel" them -- slam bam doesnt work here -- slow does it better to set the mood!!! Then the way Khushi acts is so much Khushi like. In these scenes you will see that the lighting is so special -- the lights are all "BRIGHT" and it is all "White/Pearl" lighting to make it look bright. She looked bright and radiant.

Thanks Rima... I remember each and everything written there and my heart skipped a beat. Now, that was magic. I remember what Maverick wrote about the the intoxication of the voice after the Mehendi dance. Even when he said "Tum peeche kyon jaati ho...mein tumhe kha to nahi jaaoonga"... he leaves Khushi and us totally flustered after this...
I think I am even more depressed now thinking about the good old days 😔 Now there is too much comedy...
