sush 😊 loved your points.

one good reason for me watching this show are the leads. it's the spark 😊

Arnav has been consistent and I'm glad that they haven't done anything to his character.

Anjali & Shyam - one couple who makes me puke. seriously! a sister who said that her chotte has changed and started lying.. makes me ask, look who's talking. she still lives in her world - until today, i still can't get daljeet's Rangmunch interview - the fuss about the hug scene when they're making her like this.

Khushi - i know they've made her act stupid and all but i'm happy CVs are rectifying the errors they made.

very nice post...thought provoking as always :)

one thing that i strongly feel about, and this isnt bt the trp, just that one thing that i personally miss is a better Director...

All the episodes before the forced marriage were so beautiful...and there is not just one thing, but lots of things, like the camera angle, the frame composition, the lighting...camera panning...it was like a brilliant piece of art, ofcourse alongwith the acting and chemistry, the editing and stuff...

like in yesterday's episode, first Khushi gloats to DM that Arnav is in the temple cause of her...but later when Payal points out the same thing to her, her expression, was like, 'really ?'..i think this was an editing blooper...or simply bad direction...

ofcourse there have been beautiful scenes after marriage as well, but they are like like the holi confession and the heer-ranjha ones, but they were just one-off cases...

Also, I am not blaming Arshad Khan completely, because he is shouldering the whole thing single-handedly, which is really commendable...but i do sometimes wish to see Lalit Mohan at the helm again , and whenever there is something is even remotely beautiful, i wonder how it wud've looked, had it been directed by LM...

for eg : the monday episode, the Roka one (this one was not directed by AK but by his assisstantl) ...and if you notice there are so many important things which were neglected...like the shot where Arnav offers Khushi his hand to take her to the stage, that could've been such a beautiful shot, with proper angle...also these things wud slow down the pace...and m sure this meaningful shots between ArHi will be more cheered then the rabbe-ves...

You must be kidding! Monday episode was not dirceted by Arshad Khan but his assistant? May be he should delgate more episodes to his assistant!!😃 Although it had a couple of editing issues...but the epsiode was directed beutifully on Monday!👍🏼
Wed day, on the other hand was very average in my opinion...Khushi says she wants to take permission from KulDevi...well wasn't the KulDevi/...pretty much the only one who gave them permission to get married six months back...as she was the only witness? They make up the story as they go...and forget what they have shown before...
But...surely agree with you on Lalit Mohan to pull off the inconsistency a lot better before!!

Good post and i agree with your mom that Khushi's character needs to be strong. I think her character was terribly messed with after the wedding when she resorted to OTT comedy and even after trying to fix it there seems to be a yo-yo effect with her which renders her the most inconsistent character making it difficult for a lot of people to relate to her.
That being said IPK even on its bad days is far better than the average soap. Try watching the # 1 and 2 show for a couple of days, i bet you'll wonder what the TRP audience sees in it. Plus if TRP's are determined by 8000 boxes in a country of a billion viewers then the less said about the system the better.
The only reason i continue to watch with renewed enthusiasm each day is because i love the way Barun and Sanaya have brought these characters to life. They do a fine job both individually and as a couple and for me that is a big plus.
For me IPK is about ARHI; i choose to take the parallel tracks with a pinch of salt. On some days the other characters work for me on some days they don't. The CV's currently be seem to be going in for a khichidi of different tracks and all the unnecessary suspense is casting a gloom on the re-marriage track something that the audience has been looking forward to for a long time. I hope the CV's have a plan on how all these parallel tracks will culminate else it is all heading for one big satyanaash moment.

Ha...ha...Counting on CVs having plan to not drop loose ends? Ummeed per Duniya Quyam hei mere dost...lets keep the hope...

I think Shyamu's entry back in RM will be the VERY BIG SATYANASH moment for me!! THEY CANT BE SERIOUS ABOUT THAT!!!!😲 Aren't there enough stories and tracks already in the works ...that they need Shyamu to come back to have more????

I agree with you about Anjali and her misunderstandings have confused me even more. I wish Shyam's lies were more credible than a misunderstanding, and she is so keen on hiding their relationship! The other thing I don't understand is why a pregnant woman is not able to suspect her husbands motives? I mean I've heard when your pregnant your hormones are more out of control! I wish they made her realize/suspect something about Shyam at least before the bomb drops on her that Shyam is trying to kill her baby. The writers haven't generated any change in her character, she has been the same since the show started. I would like for her to change. But no one has changed except Arnav and possibly Khushi.

😲I just feel that the tracks are half baked... And there's no continuity whatsoever ... Jumping from one problem to other and solving none at all... Too confusing

Sush,

A very nice post indeed !!

The main reason I watch IPK is because of the crackling chemistry between the leads. I also love ASR as a character. Although he has been known to do a few outrageous things (dropping Khushi from the 2nd floor, forced marriage), I love his imperfectness . I was also a fan of the bro-sis relationship but nowadays that has changed. It is all about Anji drama these days.

I am on a mental break from IPK these days. I do catch up on the episode in the mornings but am missing the urge to go re-watch in the evenings. Am hoping against hope that IPK bounces back to its original glory. My only wish is for the CVs to maintain a sense of logic with their characters. Shyam and his 101 stupid ideas to take revenge don't cut it for me. I would like them to focus on relationships between the characters, endless opportunities if they can handle them with care.

Thanks for the PM

What a day to talk about Arnie's dominating character!...,You have to do prayashchit! LOL!😆

There is many reasons for trps...inconsistency is one main flaw in the story ! Many times one episode to other doesnt make sense...until now its not been vocalised on why Arnie suddenly realised that he is in love with kushi when he was in captive! We who watch it regularly and read analysis on IF do understand but many dont! And only a few can forget logics because many times the writing is illogical and nonsensical!

Sush I can say our hubbies do have the same tendencies...my one is also one who doesnt verbalise his feelings but more of a action guy..so may be thats one more reason for me to love this show! The main reason being Arnav and kushi and their journey in love against all odds many times the odds being themselves is interesting...I also love the positivity they bring in the show...not many days we see the gloom..they immediately jump and make it light hearted...I for one hate to watch sob stories and and I also hate saas bahu crap..so that leaves me little to crib about our show!😃

Zuzi...I knew it! You and I had to have more in common than we talked about!!
😃

Also enjoy the light hearted nature of the show most times...although...sometimes I wish they would manage Khushis transition from being hurt to being jovial a lot better...

I must be a sucker for unpopularity to even suggest that ARnie bituwa is controlling on a day like yesterday..I plead temporary insanity as m defense.. 😃 😃 😃

A few lines about today's episode...

IT was touching to see Khushi not being able to understand Garimas actions fully...but accepting it without question never the less...and trying to put a good face on it...Poor girl...the only solution she could offer was to postpone her wedding...

Garimas heartbreak in leaving Khushi alone like this was touching...specially the Jhumka scene.

Shahi babus support was remarkable...

Buaji putting a brave front on it...very touching...

Would love to see ARnie understanding Khushis heartbreak and supporting her through this...

Fast forwarded every scene with the Jhas...UGHGHGHH...not worth the time...

Missed ARnie...but hopefully Barun got some time off for his birthday!!!!!

Sush me too loved the Gupta house scenes...very emotional...
I am getting to like Garima more and more...such selfless lady👏
I really felt kushi is much more lucky than Arnav is today
she really has well meaning loved ones near her..who thinks about
only her good and are ready to sacrifice for her...poor Arnie not one soul
in RM is close to anything like Garima, buaji and shashi gupta are to kushi

I was surprised to not see Arnav today...he is just on one day break...they could have easily shot him earlier...like when sanaya was on leave for 4 days we never even noticed

The way the writers are handling Shyam is just not interesting...why do they make him play cat mice games when he is on screen...
I am fed up🤢 seriously it will continue even tomorrow...cant they come out with a better story for him than this..he hides, then the suspense whether he is caught or not...this has been going on from the beginning of the show👎🏼...they were on a right track for the past 2-3 weeks I think again they are going down hill...if they continue showing this catching games I am sure they will lose the trps!!!
