You know - I have read several appreciation posts of Arnav, Khushi, Shyam,the rest of the Raizada and Gupta family members and even one for Dadi (written by my dear friend Yashi_Arnav). I have never seen a post where we take the time to appreciate the people behind the scenes - I am talking about the directors and script writers who also work day and night to make sure that they write and direct something good so that the audience will love it and not throw chappals at them.
Before the start of the show - we were given wonderful promos that made us hooked and also made us watch the show when it finally aired. From the beginning of the show and until now we have been given wonderful episodes that constantly surprised us fans with its unique way of outdoing our predictions. I used to be very good with predictions but for this show I have never been able to predict at all - maybe had one or two things correctly but the rest nada.
I admit at one point the team seemed to be stuck and the tracks where were dragged but even then they managed to make sure that we fans didn't fully leave the show. Even with Arnav's kidnapping they gave us wonderful scenes with Khushi, Shyam, NK and Mami. We saw how much obsessed and delusional Shyam was and Khushi finally realised that he will never change. We saw the growth between Khushi and Mami when they investigated his disappears together. We saw the friendship and respect bloom between NK and Khushi to the point that he became the brother she never had.
And now these last few weeks they have given us nail-biting, intrigued, dramatic, lovable and comedy filled episodes that has us praying for the next 24 hours to come fast. They have managed to give us subtle hints about their mutual past with Dadi suddenly appearing with her secrets and hidden agendas, with Garima getting first scared, angry and than apprehensive at Dadi being Arnav's father's mother. Both Dadi and Garima has made us tear our hairs out of our heads in frustration as to what could possible have happened in the past to make them behave like that.
They have given us wonderful scenes with two mighty titans fighting over who is right and aren't right - both Arnav and Dadi are both equally strong and stubborn and it has been a pleasurable surprise to see this boxing match between them and try and predict who is going to win the next round. One is born and brought up is this modern world where they have the right to decide their own future while the other thinks that the elders are the ruler of the house and thus has the right to decide the future.
They have also given us some light comedy and fun filled moments with NK, Anjali, Arnav and Khushi - sometimes there are there to make sure that people don't go into depression and just a smile can go a long way. We all felt happy and content when Khushi and Arnav laughed together without any restriction and the way NK also has been added to the list of people who has now made Arnav smile and laugh.
They have now also included Shyam into the equation to make us viewers doubt if he is with Dadi or not and if he will succeed to stop the remarriage from happening. Shyam by just being there has made us all sweat and pray that he will again not be successful with his plans like in the past. We are all holding out breath and waiting to see what his next plan and step is so that we can pray for Arnav and Khushi to outsmart him.
Last but not least the team has shown us how much Arnav and Khushi has grown and how much they love and now accept each other in their lives. We have been shown the fact that Khushi has finally realised that she cannot handle every single situation by herself and that she has someone she loves who will understand and support her. Arnav has realised and acknowledged the fact that he was the main cause for everything that happened to Khushi and that he had to apologize to her as she deserved that. It didn't matter that Khushi didn't want his apology as she knows that he loves her a lot but just the fact that he did enabled them to put the past behind them and move on.
This Iss Pyaar director and scriptwriters are so talented that they have managed to give several tracks at the same time without one track outdoing the other. They have made us watch the episodes with happiness, apprehension, hands hiding our eyes, with fear, excitement and also without making us reach for the remote to fast forward any scenes as that will make us miss something very important.
