it cannot be an excuse please. they are from glamor world they have to look good irrespective of whatever. they have to take care of this.
it is not about new or old it it is about execution. please understand what i am saying dude. no matter how many times they hug or whatever the charm will always be their if properly executed.

The sizzle has gone down but I guess it's not about him being married or anything. His last show had some really intimate scenes minus the sizzle though, but he can really do them. (fine he was not married then but surely very much committed.)

It's my opinion which can be wrong but I think it's to do with his bonding with Sanaya. I don't know why I feel that they are scared of their sizzling chemistry. No matter how much committed they are to their respective partners, no body is a saint!! I am not maligning them but just stating a fact. MAY BE they don't want to ruin their friendship which can get into trouble given their on screen chemistry. So they both are just being defensive. I know they are professionals but after a point an acting role isn't worth messing their personal lives. I could be wrong too but this is what I feel. And I believe the change in directorial team (Lalit Mohan being off) also matters. Directors really bring out the best of actors.

I hope they really get the sizzle back because IPK is ALL about intensity of emotions of all kinds.

The point you have made about their bonding has crossed my mind too. Like you said, it's even more so considering the fact that they have become such a popular pair. I mean it's our speculation, but I must admit that you have made a valid point here. I have always felt that Sanaya underplays her friendship with Barun in her solo interviews. She seems to be a lot more closer to him in the sbs/sbb segments than she claims in her interviews. Contrary to her statements, her impulsive actions and reactions in Barun's presence indicate that she's very fond of and close to Barun. However, this is not to say that she loves him or acts immorally. That's just a natural human instinct. I request that no one interprets this in a wrong way. For instance, I am extremely fond of one of my professors, but just the fact that he is happily married with kids bars me from fantasizing marrying him. It just doesn't cross my mind despite of how I perceive him. Nevertheless, there's no doubt that how I feel towards him is not how I feel towards any other professor. And yes, had he not been married, I would have most likely fantasized living with him. The same is true for Barun. He makes sure to stress the point that Sanaya is only a good costar. On the other hand, Daljeet, for instance, has no reservations in expressing her profound fondness for Barun. And that's because audience will never link them romantically. I'm sure, if not more, Sanaya is as much fond of Barun as Daljeet seems to be, yet the former hesitates to acknowledge it as openly as Daljeet. Also, one of my IF friends once said to me that she finds it weird how Barun stresses on loving his wife whenever given the chance. It's as if he wants to remind himself that he loves her. She could be wrong, but she certainly has a point. I never brought this up because I felt that me and a few of my friends were the only ones who felt this way, but now since you talked about it, I had to share what I felt.

I'm not good with reading facial expression or how the actor/direction/ and a scene works...
But,
I think the different between before and now is that before, they hardly hugged. there was a hate story and we were desperate for their touch and hug and romantic scenes or even a decent conversation which made it work...
now, b/c they do it more often b/c they are in love, we feel like there's nothing new in it. We see it everyday... they have a decent conversation and there's no fight, no nokjhoks between the leads so curiousity and intensity is lost...
also, I don't think its their personal lives is coming in between them. They know its their job and are professional. They are both comfortable with each other...

I'm glad you wrote this because I was just about to say the same thing.

Their relationship has changed in that they have now both accepted their love for one another and like Nurab pointed out we will see more hugs and general every day show of affection between the characters which will have a normal element to it. We can't continue seeing the long winded 'Rabba Ve's' or the fan blowing in the background because they no longer have as much angst in their romance now.

The intensity is there when they show slightly more intimate scenes such as the attempted SR scene but the more we see them together now the more it will look slightly less because they don't have the hate element to portray or the uncomfortable feeling.

It's sad because it seems that the leads are damned if they do and damned if they don't

And whether people admit it or not this thread is about picking faults and criticizing and i'm not entirely sure it's constructive.

I disagree...I find him absolutely perfect in romantic scenes...I didnt see any uncomfort in touching Sanaya...thts all good..! I seriously dont know what r u talking about...they r actors n they need to act the way script is written...n above all its a romantic story so he has to romance his co-actor!he romanced her earlier so he shouldnt have any prob with that...above all Barun-Sanaya r great frnds...so according to Barun, when ur co-actor is ur frnd then every scenes become easy...once he also said both r comfortable doing romantic scenes n they'll do whatever their characters justify...I love their chemistry n I dont find any flaw...

Once Barun mentioned that doing an intimate scene in difficult especially for the female artist so i think he's just being a good guy and not a jerk. He's giving Sanaya the comfort space coz I think he respects her dignity as a woman and he knows how difficult it must be for her. N I think that makes him a gentleman. I have no issues with that. I think the romantic scenes are equally good and Barun is truly a very nice guy 👏

Thanks dude! I thot I was the only one who noticed it coz everyone seems to b raving abt SR moments, hugs frm yday n today's ep... and i found it, <how should i put it - 'normal?' > There was no magic!
I want to know why this sudden loss of chemistry? Y now? Is it coz of their personal lives? Nope! I dont think so...Barun was married b4, Sanaya was in relationship b4, yet there was no prob b4...so y has it become a bit mechanical now?
I personally think its all d director's fault...he is overlooking it big time! Very careless attitude...yes the actors are tired and not giving their best mayb sometimes, its the director's job to get it done right and trust me both barun n sanaya are good actors who can do it! Its just that I ve noticed the arhi love scenes
now a days are shot like any other ipk scene. Arhi love scenes are the heart of IPK...dey shd b shown beautifully like earlier days. Now its like 'lets just get done wid this scene and move on to d next'...everythng is rushed. Thats y the actors cannot give their 100%! This is not done!

I don't agree...Barun is a brilliant actor. The times he is unshaven and skin looks tired or oily is because he is meant to look hassled. He is supposed to look stressed and not all fresh and squeaky clean when he is in so much turmoil...with regards is affection display to Sanaya...I feel they act perfectly well...this serial is not about sensuality and display of lust...it is about deep love...a love that stands firm against all odds...they did show the intense romance during last Diwali and that was when he was lusting after Khushi...today he loves her...loves her more than life...the hug in today's episode was more to showcase the bond they and understanding they share...it was not a display of passion...but a display of deep love and companionship...everyone has a right to express their views but I strongly disagree about Barun's acting skills or looks being questioned.

Oily face - yes yes yes yes. His make up man needs to pay attention. Sanaya has a flawless skin tone, so sometimes his oily skin tone is really prominent. Agree.

Haircut - I love his long hair. So disagree 😳.

Hug - His expressions are intense, no question about it. His eyes speaks columns. But during hug scene what I observed is khushi's hug is slightly more tight and there is a little more possessiveness to it. Arnav's hug is slow, calm with a leisure demeanour. May be the comparison did the trick, May be the briefing was wrong. But this is my reading about today's hug. Surely there was a marked difference.

Romance - I did not find any difference in romantic scenes as such. BS does well when ASR is at his teasing mode. Earlier there was no specific intimate scenes to compare either before diwali.
