Hearing Dadi's words about the marriage being called off, instantly knows what has happened...Effortlessly walking into the GH & her room. His "haq", after all! Anger rising as he saw that scar, and then, engulfing her in that hug...and the realization...why they are apart! His words to her: "lets just do it"...get this over and done with...sooner the better...a small issue, now blown out of proportion...He knows the trigger behind everything...Absolutely loved the scene between Dadi-Arnav...Stealth, almost in a whisper...he looks her in the eye and essentially tells her he will make sure she does not succeed in her scheming. And she gets the message loud & clear...

And then, the reflections poolside...for me this was not a sudden epiphany as the CVs made it out to be; that would discredit Arnav, his intelligence and his heart...He has known--his conscience--has admitted that he has done wrong by her many times. He has apologized to her on numerous occasions and shown her "in kind" too. Bringing back her happiness in those little gestures, be it her favorite foods, Salman Khan posters, or that pearl necklace. So was it necessary for him to have the reflections and then act on them at this juncture...seemingly redundant? I myself thought about this long and hard today...And then I remembered the post I penned in the Friendship Day Crooner regarding his conscience...His conscience will be at peace only when love trumps over what it held--that guilt and hatred for doing wrong by her. The love here is not his love...but her love. The heart in the Marley quote is not his heart, but her heart...Her heart has to be the judge!

He once told her: Iss pyaar mein sahi aur galat ka koi matlab nahi...that only forever matters. Their mutual "I LOVE YOU, DAMMIT" gave the "forever" its true definition, and you reminded us so poignantly of that in Monday's Crooner. She now has to reassure him of it...Priya, it brings me back to your favorite quote: "Love means never having to say your sorry." She will remind him of these very words as he says sorry...and she will become his strength. It is the one piece that needs reconciliation. This is not about redemption; this is about believing...Believing in that "forever" completely and totally, which she can grant him. Her reassurance a first step towards that "forever." It starts now...

The "mist" still remains over the "Curse of the "White" Pearl"...but we are headed in the right direction...

On first watch, I was still unsettled, but having a rare chance at a repeat brought a few things home...finally at peace, believing that love and the Divine will help them triumph over the shadows and the darkness at hand...

Anjali, wonderful wonderful post. Esp the parts I have retained here. Yesterday I remember you wondering whether the sudden reflection and sorry was necessiated out of an epiphany or TRP consideration. I wanted to disagree yesterday with that point but then I thought I shall wait for your post and then comment.

Indeed, it is not an epiphany... it has been so clearly building up..the sorry needed a trigger and the trigger was the 'thappad'.. .that opened the door further ajar for all the memories to coalesce and for that punch in the gut realisation. I thought it was wonderfully done... the lead up to the sorry was perfect in my opinion... i like them for sticking to their stand despite low TRPs and demands for Devdas-like Arnav.

like you say it is not redemption really... as I have also mentioned in my post on page 8, the redemption began the day the mistake was made. It is the deepening of the 'forever' as you have so beautifully put.

Really echo all your hang in points..😆.. had lot to rant about it but chodo jaane do... just hope they take their TRPs seriously... loved how you showed me khushi's change in thinking with respect to ASR... loved the reflection part you mentioned... and not to forget - quote that you used in start... 👏..well for ASR.. with each day I am becoming more and more proud of him but I have fear with all apologies cumin..they dont turn him into mushy one...I wil still go with man of actions rather than words...

Was there any significance to Khushi having a knife in her hand when she opens the door to dadi & then dadi staring at the knife,,,,??

so true!!! I laud how brave they have been about ASR's character despite the multiple pressures and I pray fervently they never succumb to the Devdas demands!! 😕

There must be..coz knife in scene...eyes on knife and khushi unaware ...it was too long to be insignificant...you echoed my thought...biggies will answer but my heart was screaming "Mar dae..Mar dae...end of story"..

Yesterday had lot of undercurrents..hints to the past...soo much cooking up..KICHDI..Pack - Unpack!! Aaj Garima ji will not meet them..but for how long.. dhamka ...or may be dadi will not go with the shagun..later do TAkee re takee..LOLITAA!!😉

Finally updated on Page 9... difficult update as the episode itself left me with mixed feelings... the predominant one being the place of a woman in our society and how nothing has changed regarding this ... and the way it is being shown on television.
