he died long time ago...the day he married anjali...woh dono sach main raavan aur mandodari ki jodi hai...an ambitious man and a woman full of piety...there i go making mythological comparisons again😆 but seriously, raavan married mandodari to please his mother...just like shyamu might have married anjali to please his sister...its possible you know, the sister asked shyam to marry anjali and save the raizadas' reputation, and thus absolve their family of the sins but shyam took a wrong meaning out of it...

Also, on a serious note😆Shyam might be suffering from that syndrome they show in movies where the kidnapper falls in love with his victim...once again like Raavan...somehow lusting after the object you are hurting makes it easier to bury your guilt...think about it...when you are abusing somebody else's property, you will feel guilty..but if you feel you 'own' something, you will find it easy to hurt them..maybe shyam never really lusted after khushi..but is convincing himself he does just to make his revenge easier...note, I'm not justfying his actions...just saying😆
