Then again, in our religion you can have up to 4 wives (Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, did), but that's only if you are able to treat all of them equally and provide for them all.

Yeah, it is about someone's own values as well. I'm a huge believer in fate and destiny, so whatever happens will happen! If your destiny is such that it's hellbent on you not being with somebody, fate will play its hand.

it is not just about values, It is also about feelings..For a marriage to succeed ..it has to be evolving, dynamic..if it stagnates .then understand it is the death of it...Temptation's cannot be turned off like a faucet... it ahs to be battled constantly, controlled ...but what if there is a moemntary lapse..whta shdu one do then..work for the marriage cos the partner is remorseful or walkout of it..
