I think her lies are a result of her zero farsightedness. She just lives "in the moment". No dreams about future and no memories of past. She forgets & forgives and she has no plans. But even in the web of lies... I one see her innocence, strength and selflessness.

I think Khushi uses lies/or omission of truth to avoid certain difficult situations - some sort of an escapism method she has developed. The time she hid about Shyam's truth to Anjali and Raizadas was because she feared the consequences of the truth on Anjali and Raizadas. She lied about Buaji's health to everyone because she wanted to avoid staying at RM before the contract is over and she fears the consequences of the contract truth coming in front of everyone. Here, she is basically trying to delay the consequences. Again, this is the same reason she has been lying to Arnav as well... she wants to avoid going back with Arnav but instead of directly telling what is in her mind, she avoids the actual reason and resorts to a lot of lies.

Frankly, I do not consider Khushi's lies as an act of mahaanta. Yes, I agree she does all this with good intentions and yes, she thinks about others but lying can never be mahaan. Plus, seeing how Khushi uses her lies to avoid certain consequences, etc can never be a mahaan act (esp the lie about Shyam's truth that caused grave consequences to everyone and her cannot be called mahaan).

But I agree that most of Khushi's lies are because she has been a person who tries to deal with all the problems on her own... she doesn't include anyone dear to her to be involved. Its like she is trying to dispose off life's difficult situations without anyone's knowledge... and in trying to do so, she uses these lies (thinking that they are the right solutions)... but alas, she ends up creating more mess and entangling in the mess herself.

keeping aside all her so called lies due to her selfless character one thing which u said is perfectly right she lying the most with her self which is bound to cause more chaos then the other so called lies

I really miss the old Khushi who used to give it back as & when she felt the need

but somehow i never found her as complex as ASR or anjali, rather i understand her much better then arnav & anjali

arnav is the only person who can get through her & make her face her feelings

but the method in use currently is going to break her even more

Khushi is more complicated than ASR

We all admit that ASr has emotional problems and he is working in his problems and has come a long way from where he was.

But look at Khushi, she has major emotional problems too, but very few people can see that, even she wont admit to her problems, and hence there is no evolving of her character.

She needs to be needed, she needs to be the one doing it by herself. She will not even accept Arnav's help. She can be very stubborn too.

I just believe that CVs should be working on improving both their characters, getting them to learn from their mistakes and improve. But with Khushi, the lies and as you said it is the lies to her own self that is so difficult to bear.

Sometimes it's better to tell the truth and face it. Lying just makes things worse ...
