One way of looking at it is - two headstrong people - tough love.. none want to quit..

Other way is - he wants to dominate.. and have his way.. and hence she is stubborn to create her place..

Third way... she is stubborn and hence he wants her to submit to the relationship.. and love

but its disheartening to see him holding her family for ransom..

its nothing to do with her ego

she just wants others to be happy & she is not thinking about her self at all

she thinks by doing XYZ if the issue is sorting out (even though it is not - according to us) she is doing it

If she could why the hell did she go back to him the 1st time. If she had the self respect then she should have just gone and managed herself. She had the opportunity.

In this scenario (and only this) Arnav did the right thing by going behind her and paying of the rent coz he considered his duty as SIL, but Khushi was the one who bought this up.

She did it for her ego, "I donot want your help, I will manage" She was pissed that it was done behind her back by Arnav. If Aakash had done this then there would not have been a word said by her.

I feel her behavior towards Arnav is so because he has hurt her time and again.. and never let her believe him.. he always created a situation which crushed her dreams and beliefs.. and hence she is done with it..

For earlier times, I agree with you.. I did make a post earlier about the fact that she should have returned the money, Rs. 300 etc..

Rs. 25000, she should return

But she did the job to respect the contract

She took the money he gave to return to RM, assuming it was much needed then... and I then tookl it as signing bonus 😉

Not returning Rs. 300 - stupid move

But I think its monetary vs. emotional... He can never pay the price of her crushed dreams, broken heart, lost trust and ripped soul

And so I feel she is right in denying his help... although ASR - as a character is well justified for his actions.. but we are also discussing the fictional characters and always try to find a role model.. hence this discussion.. nothing personal..😃

It's self-respect. I completely understand why she's doing, what she's doing. If I were in her position, I would've done this and MORE. I keep seeing posts about people being annoyed of Khushi's lies. Yes, she's trapping herself but that's her flaw. That's why she's Khushi- the people-loving punchbag. Guess why? She's spent her whole life as an addition to a family that's never been hers. She feels indebted to people even if they show her a little kindness. I just wish instead of melting, she would once, just one cry. Let it out ad tell him, "You never trusted me. You thought I was a gold digger. You ruined my life and made me pay for something I never did. And now you want me back? So what if you've changed?". People it does not matter if he's trying because he has to try HARDER. I'm sickened.

I'm going to say ego and self-respect.

When she first left RM , it was ego no doubt about it. Although she was being all mahan and leaving for Arnav and Anjali's sake, there was a lot of pride in that decision. Because she thought what she was doing was right, and to think you are right about someone else's issue, requires a level of thinking you know better than them. She wasn't exactly thinking about what Arnav and Anjali really needed, because at that point in time Anjali had spoken to her, she was assuming what they needed.

If she had left RM because of her supposed mistreatment by the family, or Arnav's actions she would have been doing it for self respect but she was not.

All the issues succeeding that were all related to her ego. The whole not coming home was about being stubborn, and not bending into Arnav's wishes. She never explained to him why she wouldn't come home, how can that be demanding self respect? When you are not showing the other person what they have done, to begrudge you respect in the past? To give them a chance rectify their treatment, to earn the respect your rightly deserve. There is none of that therefore no self respect.

Throwing things around your husband's office like a 5 year old, shows no self respect there either. Her pride was irked she retaliated. Telling your husband that you don't need his money that you desperately need, ego again.

The one moment she showed actions dictated by self- respect was at the end of today's episode. There was no anger, but the quiet guilt tripping, which has always done when Arnav's has disrespected her. The moment she told him there marriage was a deal, a sham. Self respect again. Because he had wronged her, and she was showing him how so, rather than trying to be all I'm right which is ego.

So the self-respect has only just come into play.

its self respect when she doesn't want to go back with him knowing the circumstances there in rm,her position there,what arnav has done to her nd the fact that she has to return again after 10 days!

its not her ego to refuse to come back coz it seems to her asr is still not trying to get her with his heart its just with his head, he has won her but not her heart!
