Friends... This topic is not directly abt d show. Its about some common unhealthy practices that is in d forum...

I'm talking about the 'brother-sister' bond, n d reactions in d forum. People may or may not like Arnav-Anjali sibling bond, sometimes we dont like actors... N its fine when people say Anjali is over dependant or Arnav is over protective. I respect, that as every one's perspective... And frm d story POV.

Bt, apart frm d story angle, most of d times, we hav posts insulting a 'bro-sis' relationship... Like people find it 'pukeworthy' when a 'sister' touches her brother's face.

A 'brother' lifting his 'fainting sister' in his arms is seen as 'cringeworthy'...

Two siblings hugging each other evokes posts in d forum saying 'eeewww..'

let alone d story. Is this our view towards sibling relationships are? I dont have a sibling, bt i hav always admired my friend giving her brother aged 20, a pat on his shoulder n a kiss on his forehead... N she is not a motherly figure. She is just 23...

Do we find it 'awkward' when a father kisses his grown up daughter's cheek or vice versa?

Doesnt a 30yr old man hug his Mom... Do we feel bad then?

I'm not at all bringing the 'story scenario' of d show. Bt, it hurts to read such comments abt 'sibling bond' as it somwhere equates to d real life relationships.

Many found it awkward when a sister decided to share the baby video (sonography) with a brother... Is it dat awkward? I knw a friend, whose friend is alive now, just becoz of him. She was in the 4th month of her pregnancy... N she somehow had a miscarriage. It was her male friend who carried her frm the pool of blood to d hospital. Do we hav to see it as 'cringeworthy'? As, pregnancy n relatd topics r 'girly things'...

This post is not aimed at 'moral policing' or against d 'freedom of opinion'. Its just abt keeping d innocence of relationships bcoz I'm sure no one in d world will dare to say 'A grown up man n his mom hugging each other n sharing a few cute n affectionate' moments as 'cozying with each other'.

The post is not meant to hurt anyone. Just stating what i saw in d forum.

'Seeing a pure sibling relationship thru d shades of 'Physical proximity', does hurt... It is the worst insult...!

so true .. so so true ..
man im so irritated with these ugly relation talks...
i mean hugging comforting are never always physical.. they r for mental support
to show the fact tht cm hell or high watrs i am dere it cn be rother-sister, a girl-boy frends. any1

I agree with what you said. A brother and sister share the most refined relations of all and its only immoral to point fingers at it. BUT , There's always a but! lol I wont necessarily blame the audience for not understanding Arnav and Anjali's relationship in particular because to be honest I don't really get it either.

For a regular audience, Who are use to seeing brothers and sisters as nok-jhok buddies, always pulling pranks but still caring. Anjali and Arnav's relationship is rather new. Here are two siblings who just have each other to depend on , to rely on. These two will definitely have a different bond then "normal" parented brothers & sisters. Its a whole new concept and if not introduced properly could lead to conflict. And CVs by all means failed to portray the pulchritude of this sacred bond.

My grandparents passed away when my mom was just in 10th grade and ever since their death My uncle, who was a college graduate at the time has been responsible for my mother. So, I know what an orphan sibling bond is like And its definitely not like the one we see in IPK. not as melodramatic at least. Yes there is interdependence and insecurity but NOT to this EXTENT, especially after you're married. And showing otherwise is just giving the wrong message.

Another thing that badgers me about their relationship is the mere portrayal of Anjali. She is the older sister , So considering the matter of course she should've been the more responsible one rather then the over depending one. The older sibling is usually the one that makes sacrifices and not the other way around but Just to give Arnav's character all the glory CVs besmirched Anjali's role, A role of an older sister.

So , I'll say it again, Yes its wrong to point fingers at a pure relationship but you cant really blame the viewers for doing so in this case as the sibling bond portrayed in the show is quite muddled up within itself to be honest. So don't take offence when people sometimes cross the line as its merely due to the confusion and frustration caused by CVs not because they are cavemen and don't understand the significance of a relationship as pure as that of a brother and sister.

Agreed! The cause, I think, of such obscenely assumptions regarding a pure relationship is because of the CV's inability to depict the bond between Arnav and Anjali...Or does the blame for this unconvincing portrayal lie at the director/actor's door, both of whom are equally responsible for what we see on the screen.

@TM - Trust me, no one would willfully have such distasteful thinking. It is what they SEE that they interpret and sometimes that can go woefully wrong as is the case now.

@dmgloverforever... Friend, i understand when people say 'Arnav n Anjali' r over dependant. Its not d cvs failure or the 'Arnav Anjali' story dat is the topic here.

No matter how horribly the cvs show it or establish it, we should not be making posts saying 'eeeww...its pukeworthy' when a bro hugs a sis.

Just imagine, Shyam who is d villain of d story..has a sister. We knw how Shyam is... How he deceivd his wife n lustd outside marriage. Bt, having Shyam as d 'real bad guy' doesnt giv us the right to find it disgusting, when 'Shyam hugs his mother or sister'... That bond is stil pure.

Sweety but it is.. Like Madhater mentioned in her comment, no one would willingly label a bro-sis relationship as lewd, at least no one with a brother or a sister would do such a thing without a reason and that reason being a wrong portrayal of a relationship close to their heart.

For example if in a show, women are depicted as weak and debilitate wouldn't you stand up against it? Being a woman yourself , wouldn't you want the wrong portrayal of women to stop?

In the same way when some siblings see wrong portrayal of a brother-sister relationship they feel the urge to stop it as wel. Criticizing something you think is at fault isn't wrong right? But i do agree there is a dignified way of sending across that message. people should refrain from using harsh wording as much as possible.

@madhatter...

This is not d fault of the cvs or d actors. Its just d prblm of conscience. If a mother n a man is sharing a hug, n even if both of them hav blank expressions on their face, we realy dont make disgusting coments on their 'physical proximity', if we knw dat they r 'mother n son'.

Here, in d forum every1 knws 'Anjali n Arnav' are siblings. I remind u again dat its not frm d curent story line dat i'm discussing this topic. At any point of d story, comenting on a 'bro sis' hug or kiss as 'cringeworthy' is purely hurting.

P.S. Dont bring in actors n cvs please, as I made clear in d main post itself dat, this isnt abt Justifying Arnav Anjali bond.

This post is not to criticise people who dont like that kind of a bond and Arnav Anjali equation n dependance. They r entitled to their opinion.

This post is only against those coments which saw a 'bro sis' relation as illicit/ disgusting etc. Dont confuse these two views.

Pehle toh Ms.LKG kudos for opening such an awesome post 👏👏⭐️

Yes a few posts on Arnav-Anjali made me wonder what in the world makes people think this low?

You either like a scene or you dont... you either like Anji or not... but such puke worthy comments on a bro-sis relationship did hurt me...

Story wise too, it has always been shown that Anjali is not just a sister, but a motherly figure to Arnav... that woman was fainting and this man helped her... what else was he supposed to do? drag her to her room? or leave her in that haalat saying 'you are a grown up.. take care of youself'?!?!

I'm no more a teenager and yet I hug my parents every second day.. thats just my way of showing my love to them... its the same case with my cousins too... what's soo 'eww' about it???

I think, at times we get so carried away with our fictional favorites, that we forget to see what's right.. what's wrong and where do we stand in the world of humanity !!!!

CB..Glad you made this post..What can I say ? Some people just cant respect opinion ..But it shocks me that they cant even respect relationships..Wrong potrayal of relationship ?! Really ?! Okay if they think so but there is always a decent way of saying it instead of questioning the relationship and saying that they doubt whether its Arnav's or Shyam's baby in Anjali's womb..Some people crossed the limit of hatred and phangiri..Sick !! Absolutely EWW !!..Cant give respect to such disrespectful comments .Few days back they were the moral polic..I wonder where all their morals go...Its all about biasedness..But this is seriously the heights.!
I wont be surprised if those members come and bash you and me..They dont think twice before abusing someone and that too mentioning about their id names .They feel a person needs to banned if they dont worship their fav celeb/character...Hilarious.
