Are you seriously saying that Barun is better than Aamir in Lagaan when he encourages each of the villagers to become a part of the team. gives them hope and encouragement? Or is he better than SRK (I'm not a big fan of his, but still) in Chak De, when at the end he walks with his mother back in the street of his old home, with his head held high. Or is is he better than the great Amitabh Bachchan in Black when he pushes the little girl to get over her anger and get her to open up to him?

Barun has potential and can do well, but its also true he has a long way to go. None of these actors were fantastic from Day 1. So lets admit that with time, and effort Barun will get better. But labelling him as the best actor ever is unfair to him. If fans dont push an actor, where is the scope or inspiration for development?

Abhaas, he is not a heath ledger for sure. Earlier his nose twitching did put me off . But lately with kidnapping track, he has improved a lot. He got lot of screen time and he did 100% justice to it. I love the way he do the double face act. One moment he sashays with anjali in a love boat and the next moment turned as dark as a devil. The double face portrayal was his forte in my opinion. Though not the best he does make entry to the top notch actors list of IPK. Agree that there is a lot of room for improvement.

👍🏼 on the double face portrayal and it actually intrigues me... that is his forte! each actor has his/her comfort zone! agree wid chocobuble on one thing,...he does get monotonous! but that is whole point of this debate... every actor has scope for improvement!

His first BW certainly can't be a deciding factor for his talent although it may be a deciding factor for BW career.

Many actors have failed miserably in their first movies and were brushed off by critics but later they were able to make their mark in the industry. Sometimes even talented actors don't make it big as a lot of factors are involved to make it big BW.

I will repeat what i said ealier- The key to a good actor is versatility, the ability to create chemistry with whoever he acts with and the intuition to choose the right script.

Time is the only answer and experience is the only allotted grade.

okay i am not comparing Barun to any BW actor but u have to give him some credit coz he is playing the role which is exactly opposite to him.

If we take Ram kapoor some ppl are saying he is the best actor on tv but the role he is playing has nothing new .

I have watched many soaps before and when IPK started intially coz of promos i was highly attracted to the show but then seeing the same office stuff n everything i thought its the same. Until one day i saw ASR's parents Barsi scene where in Arnav was telling Khushi how it feels when ur parents died n everything and then the Sorry scene. It gave me goosebumps. I had never experienced any such thing with a TV SOAP before.

PPl should stop comapring barun to Amitabh Bacchan nd other senior actors.
He is better than Salman Khan for me any day. And this coming from a girl whose favourite actor was Salman Khan till IPK started.

i somewhat disagree... all three characters are different and the treatment each character requires is different! barun, abhaas and sanaya all are good and comparisons between the three is not a good thing! there are days when one is good while the others are not! if barun cannot be shyam, abhaas cannot be ASR either:)
