Ok someone just told me that she wishes that my husband would leave m.In this way I will be able to understand and have sympathy with Anjali.

So now my husband has to leave me to have sympathies for a supporting character called Anjali.

Your post is quite hard hitting Sree and makes a lot of sense. It also hit me that Arnav is hell bent on showing Khushi the real world and this is the girl is head over heels in love with but what about his Di? Why did he not tell her about Shyam? Why is he not telling her about why he married Khushi? Why doesnt he tell her that despite the way Arnav married her, Khushi is still here for him and Anjali?

Arnav had said, 'Apne sapnon ki duniya se bahar niklo, Khushi Kumari Gupta.'

Why didnt he ever say this to Di?

As I write this, I can figure out why... Arnav's existence has been about protecting Di but there was no one to protect him or care for him. Today, Khushi will be that person... She will be the person who cares for him and helps him have a life and dreams of his own. Arnav is emerging bit by bit and the MU now is between Anjali and Arnav, not Arnav and Khushi.

I agree with you Sree. Even I have not been able to sympathise with this character simply because as you say somewhere along the lines, we began to see her as a woman without common sense and I guess I can't expect her to be seen as a stronger person.

In fact, while maybe this track was necessary from the CVs point of view I just feel that it is just a track that I can skip. Yesterday's episode was okay but nothing that really tingled my interest. Instead my reaction was 'Oh well, I can miss tomorrow's episode'.

forget anjali...was there any magic visible in bday scenes...khushi and arnav fought earlier as well...we never felt complain, disgust and tantrums...it was plain denial of accepting love for each other...it used to be music to ears...

pehle shyam ...ab anjali...why can't this couple be left alone and develop the relation...they are yet to start...every character in this serial has faced a lot (except mama, mami and their son 😉)...but all came out bravely and moved on...but this shyam -anjali couple is just getting up my nerves...and CVs have forgotten what they created between arnav and khushi...bickering over a gift...c'mon thats last thing we can appreciate...khushi has always made people smile and smiled with them...here is a guy she just saved from death...she missed him terribly...now she has him infront of her...to make things right...to understand his silent love...if arnav said bad to her...instead of packing bags...she could listen to him...and talked if he really wants her out...and leave gracefully for her own good...

as read in many FFs here...i would love her to be a self made person...by her charm and talent...proving to be equal of arnav...and then regaining her position on her own...she will always be loved...for what she is...arnav will always her and vice versa...i read a post saying "they have to earn each other"...completely agree...its high time...they understand each other's pain and fight all odds to be together...show real strength of love...

all anjalis and shyams of the world need to focus on them rather than spoil a much in love married couple...

I completely agree with you. The magic has gone.The truth is I haven't watched IPKKND in over 2 months now because I loath where they've gone with this. It's like Twilight with an Indian twist. Arnav is nothing but abusive towards Khushi, both mentally and physically. Even the birthday cake scene yesterday, I saw the pictures and read about it, and again he is using his physical strength, and anger to force Khushi to succumb to his will. This is supposed to be romantic? A man using his anger and physical strength time and time again to force an innocent young girl to do exactly as he says, irrespective of her wishes, or what negative effect it has on her is NOT romantic; it's abusive.

There is no sense of justice in Arnav his world begins and ends at Anjali, everyone else can rot in hell, as long as Anjali is happy. If he wanted to he could balance both womens happiness, but he doesn't care enought to even attempt that.

These shows are extremely popular with the lower classes in India right? They therefore have a RESPONSIBILITY towards educating their viewers. At the moment they're teling they're viewers; "it doesn't matter if your husband man-handles you, abuses you, and mentally torments you, all of that is his love. You should just sit their like an obedient lttle doe and take all his abuse and thank him for the rare bouts of love he shows you". That is absolutely unacceptable, this sort of thing is a huge problem in India, and they're re-inforcing the idea that it's all good, and normal.

The ONLY thing that can redeem this show for me now, is Khushi being shown to fight for her rights and leaving Arnav for good. They can do a redemption track, but Khushi shouldn't go back to Arnav, she should find a man who loves her (properly loves her, not this new brand of twilight love), and treats her with the respect she deserves.

The bottom line is NOTHING justifies Arnav's behaviour. Abuse, any form of abuse (and Arnav has infilicted every possible type of abuse on Khushi) is NEVER justifiable, and anyone who tries to make out that it is needs to seriously check ther priorities. Arnav lost his parents at a young age, fine. However he has a loving family. There are so many people in the world who have no one, Arnav has a Nan, aunt, uncle, sister, brother, all of whom dote on him. What about that is sad? He is lucky. All I'm getting from all this is that Arnav is a selfish, and ungrateful character who will go to any length to get what he wants, including abusing his wife, whom he claims to love.

That to me is not a positive character, it''s a negative character who the creatives are trying to sell as a positive character. I truly hope no girl ever believes the sort of behaviour shown on this show, (Arnav's abuse, Khushi silently taking it all, and obeying him) is ok, normal, or acceptable. I hope no girl dreams for this kind of love, because this isn't love it's sadism.

Wow... you are a patient soul. I am sure the patience will pay off. I think everyone had complaints with MU and kiddu track if TRP graph is of any indicator. Me too had a tough time surviving. But I am kind of started liking the episodes started from ME. It had the lightness in it which was missing for a long time.

In fact I do not have any problem If they show anji as a dark grey or dumb character. But pleez stop this extra advertizement of anji baby. Let viewers decide what they wanna see anjali as. If some says she is a vamp some says she is an angel. Its the viewers who decide it. Then why the PH is banging his head trying to portray anjali as a good angel outside the serial?

Note:...Let me gloat.. I think I said arhi has to earn each other😎
