Wonderful post, rima! I am not going to go into any details as i am so happy very many people feel that Arnav needs to say I am sorry to khushi. A few simple scenes will do as pointed by others. I think everyone is riled up because Arnav had flashbacks of anjaili and he felt her pain, but there was nothing for khushi except for a hug, a pat, and tum theek ho...how very lame! loved the pre cap, but it wasn't in tune with the current track. He could have simply kissed her on the forehead...*sigh*

I don't know why you expected any better rima. That sorry excuse of an "apology" is all we're gonna get. Arnav admitting to Nani that he made the biggest mistake of his life by misunderstanding Khushi. He didn't even say it to Khushi's face, but as a passing thought to someone else. WHAT WAS THAT? The writers are stupid if they think they can just sweep it under the rug.

Arnav needs to have flashbacks of all the moments he has wronged her...they can spend 10 episodes on those moments but I'll be happy with just one. A simple sorry does nothing to redeem him.

Before he tries to get fresh with her, clear the elephant in the room please. And Khushi...I love this girl but she needs to stop being an airhead. Why is she acting all shy and nervous around him? She should be like you jerk, where is MY apology? I've been waiting for it for over a year. Still I put everything on the line to save your life. And you come back and beg, cry, and apologize to your sister instead, who should actually be glad that you saved her from a creep. The same sister for whom you wrongly blackmailed me into marrying you and said the worst things any husband (and I use that term loosely) can say to his wife.

Khushi is being way too selfless for my liking. She never wants any attention. She will stay out of the way and let the brother and sister sort out their drama but at some point, it needs to be her time. It's her who has been wronged the most in this situation.

I'm not enjoying the romance as much as I thought I would be. I'm not a phangirl who can be easily pleased by a romantic scene...no matter how nonsensical it is in the context of the story. Like seriously...there is so much drama in the house and he's flirting? It just looked awkward and out of place. It worked to a certain extent because Barun and Sanaya together can rarely go wrong...but I believe their romance will feel half-baked, like something is missing until they address everything Khushi has been through because of Arnav.

We actually care about the real storyline. Gul promised Arnav would regret and that's the reason we put up with the way he treated her since the show began. They simply cannot forget about such a vital part of the story! The regret in Arnav needs to kick in soon or this show will fizzle out...

lc2632 here is my response:

forget about 6 month contract marriage:
Actually what I would like to see is Khushi getting her dream wedding as she described to her friend..

the way he treated her, extremely rude, arrogant both before and after marriage. I think the CVs and viewers have forgotten the incident when she fell off from the office:
This was the period when ASR actually could not stand Khushi.. he was attracted to her, but definitely did not have any love.. was he a bas***d, yes he was.. that was who he was...

and the other times when she hurt herself physically because of him. Are we saying now that we should forget about the physical, mental and emotional pain that he caused her because now he loves her so it is ok to forget about it.
There is no forgetting all the pain that he inflicted.. even when he was actively doing it, he was always remorseful.. he kept thinking how could I have done that to her.. and yes he has said sorry to her multiple times... when he unknowingly insulted her about her parents.. there a whole episode when he practices how to say sorry..
Then when he saw the marks on Khushi's arms.. he said sorry...
Plus the time when he says those things to Lavanya but actually he is talking about Khushi, which makes La to break off the enagagement... He is capable of saying sorry & he will.. he is now doing it in his own way inspite of being worried sick about his Di.. he is gently saying sorry in all his response to Khushi.. he will say the words too.. but in his own time.. maybe during the rain sequence?????

It will come & it will be well worth the wait...

Rima,

Great post.. but think of the flow of the story.. what you see is actually Repenting but in ASR estylez...

1. It started with Khushi I love you.. which is a big admission from ASR
2. Then all the FB during captivity..
3. Breaking the Jali window & rescuing her from the bad guy
4. Hiding her and giving himself up..
5. Calling her when he had the chance instead of the cops, just to say sorry..
6. Fighting off the bad guys to go after Khushi to rescue her..
7. One Slap for misbehaving with his wife..
8. I trust Khushi...
9. Taking the first step & reassuring Khushi, yes she has a right over him.. showing her his gentle side, giving her so much confidence that she for the first time, asked for his comfort...
10. Today talking to Nani, accepting that he made the biggest mistake of his life by not believing Khushi.. even though he said it to Nani.. he was actually talking to Khushi.. looking at her...

That is ASR/Arnav's personality.. he is not one to be smooth talking.. that was Shyam.. he is an extremely introvert type, always wanting to be in control, does not trust anyone or anything, but once you have his love & loyalty, it is given.. but if you break that trust beware.. as Shyam found out...I am actually glad that the CV team did not change his personality by making him beg for forgiveness...

Remember Khushi is attracted to this personality.. completely opposite hers.. If it was Khushi.. she would be doing some Natak or the other to Repent..

Ladies we are in for a treat to see his gentle wooing.. repenting ASR Style... you are not going to see grand gestures, crying, or big speeches... but little things, little ishaaras that Khushi is already lapping it up...

wow , soo nice 😍
You explained all the points in a wonderful and very convincing way .
I loved it .👏

aviation-ca . I hope today's woman who is educated, intelligent, smart will not tolerate such things, but who knows maybe today's women have not changed, we probably feel it is our birthright to be not treated as an equal.
All this works well in fiction and not in real life, but then don't we watch movies and TV so that we can dream the romance that is shown on screen, and that said, that is why I love to watch this show is because I am sucker for romance and Arnav/barun being so cute adds to the list :):)

One question. How many days has it been? Give it some time my friend, I don't want Arnav's redemption track to start now cause itwill bedepressing to watch. That should be a seperate track and God knows what will happen before that. I want their marriagecontract to end and then his redemption track can start and they can get married again. Does that make sense?
<div></div>

Yeah that makes sense.

I want a separate track as well because I want it to have a track of its own and the main purpose of it to be Arhi. If they had it now they'd have to share ALOT of screen time with anjali.

What I meant to say was that if they have all lovey dovey scenes and after a few weeks of this suddenly Arnav starts to show remorse. It'd kind of look odd just coming out of no where.

They need some kind of build up to show why he's suddenly showing remorse and regret when he never did before.

I too do want a seperate track and not have it joined with the anjali track but I want it written well and for it to make sense :)

Also I still do think having him show remorse later wont have the same effect as it would now however I'd rather have a late repentance track than no repentance track.
