What an episode .. Emotions flooding me that I still dont want to write the morning after the show.. I want to bask in its romantic shower.live in that bubble for a long time
I really want to ask Gul a question.. Aisa kyun hota hai ki jab bhi audience aapse door jaana chatha hai..aap unko kinhke wapas le aathe ho..boleliye gulji..you have given such a good title to the show.. The audiences are also left wondering at what their relationship is towards the show.. And how they would best describe it..Iss pyar ko kya Naam doon is the apt phrase to summarise the audience's crazy involvement with the show..before I start my usual analysis ..I would like to appreciate every actor on the show..the technicians, director, the PH..please take a bow everybody.. For putting up such a masterpiece of an episode .. That ppl are still lost for words to articulate their feelings about the show.
I will not analyse too much today ..but the word marriage caught my attention in the entire show..marriage is like we say the union of mind, body and soul...for arnav- khushi..when they entered marriage ..there was already love in it but without understanding.. But today it has already transformed into marriage of minds and soul...that is the legitimate intention of a marriage.. That is the partners when they take the marriage vows try to merge the worldly goods and the non worldly essence of who they are with the partner's.. To make u understand better I will quote from rig Veda samhita
"Now let us make a vow together. We shall share love, share the same food, share our strengths, share the same tastes. We shall be of one mind, we shall observe the vows together. I shall be the Samaveda, you the Rigveda, I shall be the Upper World, you the Earth; I shall be the Sukhilam, you the Holder ' together we shall live and beget children, and other riches; come thou, O beautiful girl or My lordl!"
After every pheras the above lines are repeated..if we read the above lines what do we infer about ARhi relationship in contrast to the one shared by anjali and Shyam .. I infer that that though the vows have not been taken.. Arhi live in a marriage where the spirit of the vow is followed to the the T...
But on the other hand an elaborate ceremony with the vows taken meticulously will be not hold anjali and Shyam together in a marriage.. I will try to decode the above vow in relation to Arhi and the episode
Share love- wasn't this the first vow.. So tell me have arhi shared love.. Oh! Yes.. Definitely..love they shared without the knowledge that it was love..try to protect each other. In this episode in specfic.. It was through the heartbeat that they shared love.. Arnav is lost as to how to bring khushi to senses.. The only way is to reveal the language of his heart beat..dammit open your eyes.. This is not funny.. Was his infernal cry..to reveal his love.. Khushi only opened it when he revealed his heartbeat Filled with love.by putting her hand on his heart . How poignant was the FB saying Hamari dhadkan ek ho jaathi hain.. What more proof do we need
Share our food- is it only the food we eat everyday.that has been spoken about here...that is meant here..not at only.. We are also talking about soul food that nourishes the soul..it allows one to grow in the relationship..soul food includes ,love understanding, patience, reassurance that I live for u..I need not connect this with the episode..as we were eye witness to the soul food that was provided in the lavish feast of IPK ..still arnav understood every action of khushi.. Like holding his collar at times of trouble..his panic when she didn't do the same today...his relief when she opened her eyes..
share strengths-so..the dil and dimaag concept making an entry here..how THE ASR trying to assure his khushi that he is alright ..for a person showing emotions rarely on his face..arnav cried for his supposed loss..In the whole kidnapping saga..the couple and the audience have realised that arhi they have imbibed each other's strength..Khushi stooping low to save her husband and arnav showing restraint to save his wife from the kidnapper.both putting themselves in danger to save the other.her one cry of help seems to spur him to fight and his one call for help with the help of the chit turning her siren who will not rest until she finds him ..in one piece safe and sound..now they are going to fight a common enemy trying to destroy them and their family-shyam
share the same tastes-In the last 5 months they were married..they have come to acknowledge that their tastes are different but this relationship has grown to that extent that it accommodates each other's taste and appreciate it too..from the food to the clothes they wear..from love they share for their families to the respect for their families..from middle class life in GH to the rich IN RM..lastly the passion and the desire they share..arnav had recognised this very long back ..but khushi has grown in this relationship understanding that the passion and desire is just manifestation of love..
shall be of one mind- wow..this is the stage they have reached now..the unconscious khushi understanding his heartbeat..the conscious arnav recognising that something is wrong without her catching his collar..the unconscious khushi feeling safe in his arms..the conscious arnav reassuring he is alright..th conscious and unconscious mind of both relieved that the other is safe and expressing their affection through the hugs and the kisses..the conscious and unconscious mind never doubting the word of khushi that shyam is the culprit behind the kidnapping..the one mind of both wanting to protect anjali and the family from the villian called shyam..the one mind recognising each other's every action (good and bad) is for the good of the family.. and for the LOVE THEY BEAR EACH OTHER
we shall observe the vows together. I shall be the Samaveda, you the Rigveda, I shall be the Upper World, you the Earth; I shall be the Sukhilam, you the Holder ' together we shall live and beget children, and other riches; come thou, O beautiful girl or My lord-after all the sharing they have done arhi have entered this phase now..they are together in this fight to protect the family..u know the relevance of sama veda and rig veda in a marriage..sama veda has 75 verses taken from the 1000 verses rig veda ..which is the master of all the vedas..the samaveda is in the form of a song where as the rigveda is a set of rigid rules..samaveda is the song that awakens the soul ..that is the wfe in khushi and rigveda the discipline that makes things tick with both khushi and RM.that is arnav.so now put together they are going to fight the evil.all withe grace of DM.compare this with equation with anjali and shyam's..have they ever kept their vows..from anjali's side it is ayes..But shyam
yesterday when arnav cried for his khushi thinking that he had lost his khushi..i was reminded of the following stories i read from mythology rewritten by devdutt patnaik..so enjoy reading it

In mythologies across the world there are many stories of lovelorn widows weeping over their dead husbands, very few of lovelorn widowers who weep for their wives. Here are three stories, one from Japan, another from Greece and one from India. All have a similar theme: of a husband trying to get his dead wife back to life. Only one succeeds, after he makes a sacrifice.
Japanese mythology tells us the story of the primal human couple, Izanagi, the man, and Izanami, the woman. They were responsible for churning out islands from the sea which they populated with their children, the many deities who populate the Japanese countryside. Izanami died while bearing the fire-god and Izanagi was so distraught at her loss that he was determined to bring her back. So he went to Yomi, the shadowy land of death, to fetch his wife. Unfortunately, she had eaten the food of Yomi and so could never return. Izanagi lit a torch, desperate to see his wife. To his horror, he found that her once beautiful body had decayed and was covered with maggots. He ran out of the underworld in fear, chased by Izanami who also missed her husband and wanted him to stay back. Izanagi finally reached earth and covered the entrance of the underworld with a huge boulder. His angry wife yelled, "I will kill a 1000 living creatures each day." Izanagi yelled back, "Then I will create 1500 new lives each day." So the story ends in eternal separation and bitterness.
Greek mythology tells us of the musician Orpheus who fell in love with a nymph called Eurydice who died of a snakebite, breaking his heart. Orpheus plucked the strings of his harp and sang of his loss. The song and the music were so mournful that the gods wept and showed him the way to Hades, the land of the dead, to reunite him with his beloved. There his songs moved even the unfeeling heart of Pluto, the ruler of the dead, who allowed Orpheus to take his wife back to earth. "But on one condition: you must walk in front and she will follow behind you and you must not look back until she has reached the land of the living." Orpheus could not believe his luck and he ran out towards the land of the living secure in the knowledge that Eurydice followed him. As soon as he reached the land of the living, without waiting to give his wife enough time to catch up, an excited Orpheus turned back to look at his wife, only to see her disappearing like the mist, and returning to the land of the dead once again. So the story ends with separation and melancholy.
Hindu mythology tells us the story of Ruru and his wife Priyamvada who were madly in love. But then one day, Priyamvada is bitten by a snake and she dies. Ruru cannot bear the idea of a life without his wife. He invokes Yama, god of death, and begs him to let her go. Yama refuses unless he gets something in exchange. "Take half of the rest of my life and give it to her," he says. This is the only case in Hindu mythology, maybe even world mythology, of a man sacrificing himself to save his beloved. Yama agrees reluctantly. And so Priyamvada is resurrected; she returns and lives in the land of the living as long as her husband does. Together they enjoy each other's company until it is time to die.
