I save the best for last, thats just the way I am. So my thoughts are in reverse order of the episode.

MAMI: She is the mother hen, yes she sees Shyam is home and bruised, but his injuries are not life threatening, or he would have gone to the hospital. She must protect her niece and so she starts her questioning. Is she concerned about Shyam, oh yes she is, does the doubts leave her NOOO!!!! She wants an explaination about what she has seen and heard, and by God she will have it. Its a nice touch that Mami wasn't wearing overwhelming amounts of make up and jewelry. Then she then sees Khushi and concern takes her to see how Khushi is. But the second Shyam asks Khushi how she is, Khushi cannot control her anger and disgust and Mami notices and she is observing Shyam's expression, and Shyam doesn't understand why when everyone is looking at Khushi, Mami is looking at him( there is a beautiful moment where Mami's thoughts of whom should she believe is verbalized simply by expressions), then she sees Arnav and her love overflows. I loved how she understands where he has been, and wants to know everything. She doesn't sweep things under the carpet to protect others she believes strength is in everyone knowing and tackling the problem together. I loved how she shhhed Shyam. LOVED HER EVEN MORE TODAY!!!

Payal: Today she understood Khushi needed her, she stood behind her never moving, keeping her hand on her shoulder, a support system that can be counted on.

Naani: She too wants to know the truth, the details, how were they duped.

Anjali: One to many shocks for her poor system. Like anyone who is head over heels, she only wants to know the safety of her husband, thats all. This is not the time to wash the dirty laundry. She wants to hold him and keep him safe, protect him. She sees Khushi is in a terrible state and doubt starts trickling in, no she doesn't ask her if she is ok. There is no Khushiji aap theek hai? NO? She just stands there knowing that there is more to the story. But her attention never waivers from Shyam, just before she can gather her him in the safety of her arms, she sees Arnav, and that's when the real concern comes out. She wants to know why her brother is in such a state, who did this to him. Now she wants to know everything.

Shyam Manohar Jha: The second he finds out that Khushi and Arnav have escaped he knows he is going to need the protection of his shield from all things bad aka ANJALI!!! And how to get Anjali in her element? Show up hurt and injured. This is exactly how Shyam is, he is a planner, even given the state he is in he has a plan of how things work. But two things did not go his way. He was not able to keep Anjali occupied in him, her concern soon got transferred to a much more injured Arnav, and the most important he was not able to delay the information reaching the family of Arnav's kidnapping. He tried, to give it some time perhaps negotiate his position, but what he did not anticipate was that Mami already knew the sordid details of the kidnapping. Wasn't that excellent. His shock is evident on his face and also the quick thinking mind of how is he going to get out of this situation. BRILLANT!!!

Now for the best part of the episode:

To tell the story of how great a love can be

The sweet love story that is Arnav and Khushi

Where do I start?

I'll start with his crying, he is sobbing for her, he recollects both times when she spoke of her dying, both times he reacted strongly, today he sits helplessly hugging her.

Arnav calling Khushi and Khushi not answering, aisa kaise ho sakta hai? the HMMM almost killed me.

I loved the helpless tired hugs that were shared, the strength that was gathered from each other. The fact that they didn't have to say anything just their physical presence was enough. I felt a little shy when he covers her with the dupatta, and when she grabs his vest, he smiles because for a second he thought she would never do that again. I loved the triumphant walk to the jeep,with the instrumental Rabba Vey playing in the background, reminded me of after the pukphera when he carries her, at that time he was mad as hell yet he couldn't resist looking at her. Today, he has eyes for only her, he can't take his eyes off of her.

Another very very important fact that changed today was Khushi herself. The Khushi Kumari Gupta would find an excuse not to disclose all the facts, Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada wants to disclose all facts to her husband. THIS ACTUALLY WAS THE CHERRY ON TOP OF MY IPKKND CAKE.

Today I was armed with 2 tissue boxes so I was well prepared for the emotions.

I'm gearing up for the splitting up of the family, please bring mamaji back yaar this is ridiculous when such an important sequence is going on for a family member to be missing and I don't need masala mama.

I can't wait to see a flirty Arnav when the door to his room closes which Khushi inside. OH HELL YA!!!

You know my all time favorite movie is DDLJ, I think IPKKND should add Come fall in love after the title😃

Yes, I was amazed!

Yes, I was spellbound!

Yes, I was struck speechless!

It was riveting. It was dramatic. It was absolutely fantabulous. Right from the beginning to the end, it was delicious. What an episode!

Triumph on one side, frustrated ambition on the other.

Acceptance on one side, blind trust coupled with denial on the other.

Cementing of the sacred wedding wows, though hastily taken and that too in revenge on one side; and the beginning of the disintegration of a pathetic, one sided and empty parasitic relationship on the other.

A mother's relief and concern. A matriarch's utter shock; on being brought into the know of the grave peril in which her grandson was in the past few days; on seeing the state he is in; on seeing the state his wife is in. A sister's pain, anger, confusion.

Everything was a treat to watch.

The ARHI re-union scene (for want of a better word; I refuse to call it a love scene. It was nothing so mundane... it was superlative, and far above anything I have seen on an Indian daily soap) has been analysed and re-analysed several times over today. So I won't go there today.

Today I will share my thoughts on a few other things and pose a few questions of my own:

1. Shyam Manohar Jha- he was driving away when the goons called him up and informed him of all his plans coming to nought. He was angry and frustrated. It was after this that he staged an accident and went back to RM injured. What was the exact purpose he hoped to achieve? He wanted to play on the sympathies of the family members and his gullible wife- that much was obvious. What else? Did he think that ARHI will not come back so soon, and they can be intercepted before that? He seemed pretty calm and collected while Anjali was tending to his wounds. He seemed to have thought it through and to have come to a decision? What decision? What new plan?

2. Anjali Jha- she was slowly coming to accept the terrible news that her husband does not deserve the halo that she had presented him with. Then suddenly... presented with the opportunity of being face to face with him and that too when he was in an injured state all thoughts of doubt flew out the window. It may seem puzzling to some, but quite a natural reaction in my opinion. She has decided to cling to her version of reality. This is where the danger lies. "nahin Mami, hum na kuch poonchna chahte hain aur na hi kuch sunna chahte hain." She is blind and deaf to the advise and entreaties of her family. She has laid herself open to the lies and manipulations of her husband. Is this what Shyam had planned? To use the next weapon in his arsenal- Anjali (Singh Raizada)Shyam Manohar Jha? Disturbed and worried though he apparently showed himself to be, was this why he seemed confident he will escape yet another time?

3. The cold war- when Khushi came in injured, everyone gathered around her. The first to reach her was Payal. Even Mami who was laboring under a misunderstanding came running towards her. Anjali Jha stayed put. She was puzzled, curious... but concerned? Naah! When Shyam too arose and showed fake concern, she didn't like it... not one bit. You could almost see the wheels turning in her head. Anjali Jha is waking up. "Apni aankhein kholiye, Anjali ji." And she has done it with a vengeance. It may cause Khushi some major heartbreak in the near future, but it is going to come back and hit Shyam with the maximum impact in the long run.

4. The sibling bond- Shyam Manohar Jha can plot and plan all he wants. He can cause misunderstandings, rifts, heartbreaks and what not in this family and between the Raizada Siblings... but when the push comes to shove; Anjali will run towards her darling Chottey. Everyone was gathered around Khushi asking her the reason for the state she is in. Anjali stayed back with Shyam. Shyam moved towards Khushi. Arnav makes his entrance... and Anjali flew towards him... what happened, why are you in this state? All thoughts of her husband and his injuries forgotten. Three cheers for that. Anjali may be gullible, deluded, blind, deaf, shrewd and manipulative... but in the kingdom of her heart, her Chottey still rules!

5. Mother's love- Mami, Mami, Mami and only Mami! She was the first to reach Arnav and the first to pull him into a hug. For once, she did not wait to observe the protocol. The first hug belongs to Anjali, doesn't it? But today she didn't care for that. For once this lioness wanted to coddle and shower her love on her cub unrestrainedly, and she did so without waiting for her turn. Manorama Raizada had had a trying day.

a. That very morning she had found out that her niece's marriage was crumbling- Anjali's husband was cheating on her with none other than Khushi. She tried getting Anjali to accept the truth, only to come up with a stone wall. Anjali would not believe her.

b. She arrives home with Anjali, only to have Anjali fuss over her husband who had turned up injured. Mami is not convinced with Shyam's excuses. She wants to question him and is stopped by Anjali. She is not happy about it.

c. When Khushi arrives home in an injured state, she is suspicious. She intercepts the look exchanged between Khushi and Shyam. Khushi looks angry and disgusted, Shyam looks worried. Mami has noticed and she will try to get to the bottom of matters.

d. She is impatient when Arnav is hesitant to tell his family the truth about his kidnapping and tells them the truth, that Arnav never went to Scotland and that he was kidnapped. In the midst of all this drama when Shyam tries to divert Anjali's attention, Mami angrily shows him his place.

First half of episode

Dhak Dhak, what is it? It's just the beat of heart which is the size of one's fist. So, why does this tiny organ matter so much to us? Heart plays a really major role in our lives. Someone told me that 'We say people are kind hearted, good hearted, faint hearted etc. Never do we say kind mind, good mind to describe anybody.' That's how important it is. So, is it surprising that lovers use this same heart again to communicate with each other (heart-to-heart communication); no need for words anymore. What if this tiny heart stops beating, especially that of a beloved?

Today, Arnav found his Khushi hurt and lying between tree branches. On reaching her, he's not aware of her condition, but first thing is, he re-assures her that everything is ok and he's fine, which is what she'd have like to hear if she were actually conscious. Once he pulled her out of the trees, he saw that she's unconscious and is not breathing. What gave him the clue? He remembered that she always held on to his shirt in her unconscious state (Guest House and Nainital) . Right after the Didi tere dance, he tells her that she noticed a lot of things about him. Hello buddy, what did you do? Didn't you notice a lot of things about her too?

Coming back to episode, oh! How hard it is to see a beloved in that condition. He tried his level best to bring her back to life, urging her with words, holding on to her, reassuring her, sharing his anguish with her. When all else failed, he remembered the wonderful holi time when they confessed their feelings and realized their hearts beat as one. As a last resort he took her hand and placed it on his heart and voila, her dhak dhak (heart-heart) is back. There's a twitch in Khushi's fingers and when Arnav whispers her name in an anguished tone not realizing that she's coming back to him, there's a 'hmmm' response from her. Imagine the joy, ecstasy, relief one feels when the beloved whom you thought was almost at death's door, whom you thought you lost forever, comes back to you.

Was there any need for words when lovers talk to each other in the depth of their beings through their hearts? It's a silent communication that does not require a language; the only language used here is 'SILENCE' because only in silence can two hearts talk to, hear and understand each other. Love definitely has no barriers, including language.

Second half of Episode

Arnav and Khushi have been through many trials and tribulations and have put through fire to come out purified. Are the trying times over? No way, but the difference is now they have each other to go through whatever life offers them; more lessons to be learned which will only strengthen their bond further. Of course, Shyam will do the honors of testing this bond once again.

The lovers reach home and the important question is asked if Arnav knows about his kidnapper (loved Barun's change of expression at the mention of kidnapper). Khushi tells him that it's none other than shyam; no more hiding things from each other. Arnav asks her if she's sure; there's no doubt in his mind that she's right, but he's just trying to reassure himself as he didn't have any inkling that Shyam was the kidnapper. Of course, our man switches to ASR mode, the practicalities have to come into play; does she have any proof? This is for the family members to know and understand about Shyam, especially since so many things were hidden from them before. Who'll believe her now?

Anjali is hovering around Shyam crying, Akash is calling the doctor. But, mamiji is still not happy with Shyam. If nothing else, she's a practical woman and needs to know right now about the discussion betwen Shyam & Khushi. For a concerned Anjali of course these things aren't important when husband is actually hurt. Notice that none except Anjali is close to Shyam at this point.

Enter Khushi and what's the reaction? Nani, mami, Payal, Akash walk to her, Anjali still by shyam's side. The whole family is concerned about her disheveled state. Payal and nani start asking questions and who walks in next, of course, none other than ASR. The first one to react is Anjali who left Shyam's side and went to her chote. But, mamiji is the first one to hug him and cry. She's truly his mother, concerned for her child and happy that he's back. She immediately asks him questions about his escape. Akash, Nani, Anjali and mami are standing by Arnav and Payal by Khushi; Shyam is alone once again.

Shyam is really worried now about a confrontation and to divert everyone's attention from questions, says that Arnav needs breathing space. But mami ji puts her foot down and wants answers now. Good going mamiji, this is of utmost importance. A silent communication exchanged between Arnav and Khushi; he's seeking her approval with a questioning look and she responds using her eyes and he understands (I just loved this totally). Of course slowly, things are being revealed about the kidnap. Imagine the state of Nani, Akash, Anjali and Payal; they are totally in the dark. If your own family does not trust you to share things with you, how would you feel? Sure, they have their reasons, but will the family understand and will they believe Khushi? Let's wait and see what happens, shall we?

Bahut maza aaya

1) I know whatever we say it's still inadequate, but just to show our appreciation can we say THANK YOU to the whole IPK team for the wonderful job you've been doing. We are all really happy to see IPK back on track and were very touched by the first half of the episode and will watch repeats of it online, if I'm not mistaken 👏👏

Barun was fantastic; will we ever forget the anguish, the pain, the fear, the suffering, the joy that he showed yesterday? Sanaya supported him excellently. Have we ever seen such on-screen chemistry like Arshi's? It's like the soul connection this couple has, is brought alive. Barun and Sanaya, take a bow. 👏👏

2) We all know that so many of Doodleberry's tracks came true, especially that of 'Sleeping Beauty', 'Fox and the goat', '7^th angel blowing the trumpet' and many more. Hats off to her⭐️👏⭐️.

3) The flute music brought a lump in my throat

Sigh!! Wow!! Sigh..!! 😭 👏😳 😉 - that about says it for me today.

First of all, hats off to the WHOLE team, in front of and behind the camera! You couldnt give us a kiss, you gave us CPR instead!! RAMANCHI kiya!!! But I'll take it.. I'll take it all.

Everybody here is waxing lyrical about the first 10 minutes. I am speechless so I'll just go past that straight to RM.

The veils of half-truths, obfuscations and lies start dropping over RM again.

Shyam with his sniveling lies has got Anjali wrapped around his fingers. How well he knows his little ostrich - the one with the head in the sand. If she ignores it, it will go away. So he misdirects her. Now mami, is another story altogether. She does not play games. She's not going away and she wants answers. Already her suspicions are aroused.

Outside the King and Queen are in the wings readying for their entry back into the castle. This scene was my little moment of discontent. ASR's reaction to Khushi's statement that it was Shyam who was behind the kidnapping. I expected a narrowing of the eyes and a 'What!' as in 'What - how did you know that?' Instead of an incredulous 'WHAT? (the-)! And an 'Are you sure?' This scene is a negative for me. For a Harvard grad not to have figured out who was behind his kidnapping by now (I mean, how many personal enemies does this guy have that we dont know about?) - he should return that degree to Harvard! The next sentence though did mitigate that. Does she have hard evidence? And Khushi does! What transpires after, we dont know. But she enters first.

Shyam should have been ready for this. Where else are they gonna go? But he wasn't. Why not? Dumb and dumber rolled into one! He was perfect. Guilty, shifty, everything - and no one notices. Especially not his pretty little wife, who is busy looking angrily at her competition. Oh yes, She has already started seeing Khushi as just that!

Why doesn't Khushi respond to any of the question? I dont know - but I think Mr and Mrs ASR have a game plan. Mami notices the daggers she's throwing Shyam's way and throws a few herself. And she is already looking at holes in Shyam's story. Though its probably the wrong holes. And I loved how Payal came to her side and kept her hand on her shoulder. Finally big sister is waking up to the mess her in-laws are in and the pain her little sis is going through.

Enter the King! Tired, dirty, hurt and still standing tall!! That's a total CT moment for me! He is surrounded by the women who love him and whom he loves. Except the one who he would give his life for stands a little away.

His sister has run to him as soon as he entered. But she is kept at bay by his Mami and Naniji. One with some knowledge of what's happened to her son and the other just glad to see him back, and horrified at the condition that he is in.

Poor Akash - He is as bewildered as Nani is. He did run with Payal to Khushi when she came in. Then he helps ASR to the couch - where everybody, especially his I-dont-want-answers-I-just-have-a-lot-of-questions-but-please-dont-tell-me-the-truth sister begins bombarding him with questions.

And then Mami takes control of the conversation. Bring out the truth - Arnav had been kidnapped. There, its been said. But that's only half the truth. The other half of the truth is that Shyam is the one who kidnapped him. But ASR gets one more confirmation. And Shyam - a shocker !! (Taaliyan!!)

Right now, there's only three people in the room who know the truth. One more is on his way - soon, I hope.

The look and tiny nod that pass between ASR/Arnav and Khushi was a treat to see. They are on the same side. And the trademark glares he gives Shyam leaves the latter in no doubt as to ASR's knowledge of the truth. All that is needed is evidence. Proof.

And Khushi's purse with the will and her phone is lying somewhere near the place where ASR was kept. Hmmm... wasnt that part of the proof ? Or is that just another loose thread?

Finally back to normal. Was jumping with excitment , tension throughout the episode.

I have never cried for any Hindi Serial ever and never been so addicted as I am to IPK . Brilliant absolutely brilliant , no words to describe the episode today .

Such a pure , beautiful and heart warming love story of Arshi , makes to fall in love with love once again . The FB were so to the point , Guest house scene, Nainital trip , Holi Episode surprising Arnav remembers such small gestures like holding his collar whille she is in his arms, what a lover man.

I am still thinking about what must have been the exact conversation between Arshi . I feel they have a plan in mind for sure , but what . ANy guesses girls. PH always has given us a shocking twist when we least expect it.

Tants very well written. Anna once again loved your post .

In a heartbeat.... a lost paradise was regained. Khushi answered the call of love and came back to Arnav. An "uhh"from Khushi and the smile came back on Arnav's lips with moist eyes of relief. The first faint words of Khushi" Arnavji" with half open eyes and the soft husky voice replies"Shh..kuch bolne ki zaroorat nahin hain" with a gentle kiss and a hug... Can love ever unfold more dreamily beautiful on screen? Frankly, I donot know and I do not care...because the onscreen magic of romance that captivated me today will stay on for a long time and I can go back again and again on YT to view it to my heart's fill.😳

ASR tried to revive his sleeping beauty with all the techniques of science,his familiar authoritarian command" I am telling you to wake up Dammit" but the princess was only revived when her prince charming Arnav willingly took her hand and led it to his heart. His heart beats for her... his existence is with her and not without. The shaitan and the rajkumar finally became one to bring his love back.

The return of the Expression King...😊

How does it feel to loose your love and try to bring it back with everything you have... the sinking thought gripping you that your efforts are in vain...and when you are down with the loss ... it comes back to you...You are flummoxed is it a dream or reality ?

BS you took me through this journey today with your emotions. A standing ovation for making it so real. 👏👏👏

The lurking evil-Shyam

Shyam returns home with self inflicted wounds... narrating a near death experience... re energizing the love for him in his wife. Khushi enters RM at the same moment when the wife was tending to her husband's wounds...The voice modulation of Abhas on narrating the cock and bull story an excellent portrayal of the ace conjurer donning the mask of a decent guy... The shifting eye glance gauging the reactions of the Raizadas to Khushi's condition. A shadow of doubt passes quickly through Anjali's face on seeing Khushi's bruised condition.

The piercing hawk eye of Mami trying to understand the real Shyam in the midst of the con drum and Shyam correctly reading her thoughts and forcing Mami to look the other way... Utkarsha and Abhas were brilliant... tension can be conveyed in silence too... wonderfully shown. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The cold stares of Shaym ,Khushi and ASR juxtaposed with the shock and surprise of Anjali...the eyes said it all...

Mami blows the trumpet again and the kidnapping truth is revealed to all..Skeletons are ready to be brought out of the closet...The war of love and trust is ready to begin.

An episode that moved at breakneck speed. The spoken words and the unspoken nuances packed a punch. The heady cocktail called Iss Pyar Ko Kyan Naam Doon reached a milestone today... whether we will surpass today's creativity or go back to the ordinary can be overlooked.
