Good Morning!!Tussi toh bade Khush lag rahe ho!!Arshad Khan would be proud of himself!!!But yesterday, while watching the episode,a thought just struck me-If you can see this level of action sequence on Primetime TV,why the hell do I spend large bucks on some Bollywood crap??I don't think I've ever seen this standard of excellence on TV.IPK definitely brings the best of BW and HW together and creates a delicious smash up that is so funtashhtic👏I rewatched the episode and had a feeling that in spite of all the violent action, they've so carefully maintained the subtle nature of the characters-all three of them!!IPK,without any freaking doubt, stands on a much higher dais than any of it's counterparts..but yes..ON IT'S GOOD DAY!!But on a bad day,IPK is just🤢But I hope good days are here to stay!!
I'd like to share something about love today, please bear with me and sorry for the lengthy post.
Love is described in many ways, but what came to my mind for today's episode is Sacrifice. Love is the only case where 1+1 = 1, two hearts combine into one and never are they separate.
Shyam: Some of us occasionally expressed a doubt whether Shyam loves or has some feelings for Khushi. I agree with Nia's post that he is obsessed with her. The following slokas from Bhagavad Gita, chapter 2, verses 62 & 63 sum up Shyam's character. The guy who never had anything like Arnav has, wants it (it's always WANT with him and never NEED)
dhyayato visayan pumsah, sangas tesupajayate
sangat sanjayate kamah, kamat krodho 'bhijayate
"While contemplating the objects of the senses, a person develops attachment for them, and from such attachment lust develops, and from lust anger arises."
krodhad bhavati sammohah, sammohat smriti-vibhramah
smriti-bhramsad buddhi-naso, buddhi-nasat pranasyati
"From anger, complete delusion arises, and from delusion bewilderment of memory. When memory is bewildered, intelligence is lost, and when intelligence is lost one falls down again into the material pool."
Coming back to the sacrificial aspect, where is this trait in Shyam, if it exists at all? He claims to love Khushi, but is ready to use her as a pawn to bait Arnav, leaves her on the road tied helpless. He has no thoughts of sacrifice and love at all and his devilish mind plans to kill two birds with one stone. He's also a coward who doesn't want to face Arnav.
Khushi - The eternal giver and joy maker. Shyam repeats himself that she's the reason Arnav is going to die and what does she do? She's calm and collected and tells shyam not until I exist. She makes is absolutely clear (just in case Shyam has any doubts) about her lover for Arnav, her pati. She'll move heaven and earth for him, she'll go to the devil himself if needed for her beloved and soul mate. The ultimate sacrifice indeed; she put up with Shyam and his gandhi harkatein throughout her search for Arnav. She loathed his touch, his sweet talk and did things that she'd never done before and behaved very unlike her usual self. But, in all this, she never flinched, had a lot of faith in DM and never gave up until reaching her destination, Arnav.
Arnav ' Man of few words who fought his feelings for Khushi; ultimately, love triumphed. He really NEEDs Khushi and cannot live without her. It's her pure love for him that removed the purdah behind which he was hiding himself and showed a true picture of what she is.
The kidnappers in black circling Arnav reminded me of the darkness/demons within his own self that he still has to fight as the last step to reach Khushi. The true separation is actually in the mind and Arnav is the one who has had the biggest mental blocks. Hence his struggle is the worst and he has to be shown that even after repeated hits, he'll still stick to his Khushi and do whatever it takes to reach her. Beautifully portrayed in the fight scenes.
Love gives you immense strength to overcome any obstacles in the path. When Khushi was struggling to free herself and also when she was at gun point, Arnav took bad hits and was rendered helpless initially and was at his most vulnerable. First time his vulnerability is expressed in words when he asks lallan to leave Khushi alone almost in a pleading tone; all through, he was being punched by the kidnappers, but his own pain didn't matter to him, sacrifice indeed. Ultimately, he gained strength to free himself and rushed to save her.
Bahut Mazaa Aaya
1. Hats off to the actors for their brilliant performances. Abhaas was⭐️👏👏👏. Especially loved the evil smirk when he leaves Khushi all tied up and helpless. We got to hate and loathe him to the maximum.
When Arnav and Khushi meet for the first time, the expressions on Arnav's face, a combo or delight, doubt if he's actually seeing her, surprise, love, joy was so brilliantly conveyed by Barun ⭐️👏👏👏 ⭐️ Totally loved him for that.
Sanaya, thank you for being our Khushi. Expressions when she was tied up were really great ⭐️👏👏
2. Loved the little flute music that played with the FBs, just the right volume so as to not take away the concentration from the FBs
3. To the whole IPK team, thank you so much for giving us such wonder-filled episodes. Especially, kudos to the dialog writers, the Shyam-Khushi confrontation was worth watching.
If only (nothing serious)
1. My favorite song is the sad rabba ve and the dard it conveys. If only somebody had poured more dard into the female rabbe ve today. It lacked a little bit of something
2. If only, Khushi, instead of just repeating 'Arnav ji' and 'chhod dijiye humhe' was given a chance to fight too; hey this is 21st century and we are not abala naari's anymore. In my imagination, she tricks lallan and tries to help her husband by beating up chotu Rocky as he stole her Arnav ji's shirt by kicking his butt 😆; surprise is the best part of an attack. Rocky wouldn't have been expecting this and would have gone sprawling down before Lallan gets all angry and hold her at gun point again.
3. Redwine, yaar, what happened to the 'Main aur Mr. Khan' section? Whole section hi gaya and you said good stuff combining with others, toh hum sumjhe ki aap ki lubh for Khan ji is reducing day by day, poor Khan ji 😭😭
