first of all there are no blood groups like AO and BO

this is totallly taking me back to the punnet squares in biology! 😆

well AB+ and O-
i dont exactly know how the posiives and the negaives come on place
but we can calculate the actual Blood Group with punnet squares

the alleles for the blood groups are AB would be IAIB and O would be ii
now ii is recessive which means that BOTH the parents would've had the i allele in their genotype...
which only leads to one thing

Arnav and Anjali's parents were blood type A and B
because then if u cross IAi and IBi
u get four offspring phenotypes which wud be, AB, B, A, and O
so then randomly, Arnav got O and anjali got AB

did that make sense?
:)

NOTE: this is from my biology lesson in 9th grade
i havent done a diploma or anything on his so I dont know :)

As far as I remember, when one parent is A+ and the other is B+, the children can have ANY blood group.

i guess it can happen if one sibling gets one of the parent's blood group and other gets from the other parent...In anycase, a child has to have the same blood group of atleast one of the parent!...Me n my bro, both have my dad's blood group, while mym mom's is different
