Hello fellow IPKians, hope you all are doing okay!
So recently I've seen people aghast in this forum about the TRP drop from 2.9 to 2.3. I'm sure a lot of people will agree that this week has been a pretty awesome week (confession, more details about kidnapping, no pointless/awkward comedy) yet still TRPs have drop to this extent.
But guys lets not forget that we on this forum make up a fraction of the viewing public that watch this show. I know a lot of families that watch Indian soaps daily and watch a whole block of them in one go. From daughters all the way till great grandma's watch shows on Star Plus, it's one of the most popular TV channel in India.
I believe one major reason for this drop is the IPL, since it is coming towards the final and things have been heating up. But there could be other reasons which I just simply do not know of.
Now we can spend hours trying to deduce why TRPs have gone down and then somehow find a way to stop this (which honestly won't work...you can't get the whole of India to watch IPK by making several posts on this forum) or we can all make sure we watch and enjoy the show! (Please, people don't take offence to this)
One thing I don't like about TRPs is that they don't take into account the international viewers. I'm sure IPK will be doing better if the whole world's viewing public was taken into consideration. Nonetheless, all we can do is watch the show and spread the word around to our family and friends about how awesome IPK is and hope that they watch it and enjoy it as much as we do.
I just wanna see a change in the forum and try and eliminate the negativity and fear surrounded by a drop in TRPs. If anyone takes offence to this then I'm sincerely sorry, that was not my intention
