I will not say that i just love my job and it is the best thing in this world for me to do but yes the hard and fast pace of it does pump my adrenalin and keeps me moving and running and so yes i kind of enjoy what i do for the time being.
I understand my job very well and i am well trained for it as it is my comfort zone despite being demanding and taxing. I like familiarity and i live and breathe in it.
When it will become unbearable for me then i sure as hell will do something about it .
It is one of the reason why my husband an I moved back to Mumbai from NY and London because both of us were fed up of living abroad and we wanted to settle down in our familiar surroundings for a fresh start.

We do have hectic jobs and we are a "Power couple" as you call it but there are lots of couples and i know lot of them who work like this and they excel in their professional life as well as love keeps blossoming in their personal lives too.
Adjustment is part and parcel of marriage. If you have a understanding partner then you can make anything in this world work. This endearing quality of my husband has made me fall more in love with him after our marriage.
Lots of things depend upon your other half ,if they are willing then a couple can make anything on this planet work.

PS: MY day off today :-) but i will have to work on Sunday.
Vacation next month in Paris for a week that is why I am working weekends. LOL

Bravo Mary. this is possibly one of the most lucid letters to the IPK team I've read.

As a law student my entire day consists of reading huge judgments, helping around at the moot court, studying more judgments and case-laws and then making time once I get home to mail in my weekly assignment to work.

Food and other amenities usually are a distant second. And you are very right IPK is an escape. When you spend hours studying jurisdictions and then realize that when it comes to the basic laws you want to enforce the most there are no concrete outlays, it is frustrating and it is hard. Writing IPK Fanfiction is an escape from that, for me it's a way of ranting, watching IPK is usually the balm.

IPK can and has been better which is why we deplore any little slip. It's like a Da Vinci using a paint-by-numbers book - the mere thought makes u want to tear ur hair out.

And you are very right, take it all with a pinch of salt GH - that is life.

Mary a brilliant post...
I would like to add that Mr Hegde wants us to watch the show and not to say a word...that wont work...according to him...if we want real issues there are other shows...he forgets that people who want that are already watching those other shows and hence the failing trp's...i dont understand his logic in catering to all audiences...i never knew that indian housewives liked watching a 9 year old act like a vamp which was very disturbing and a story that just doesnt move...but love the post

There. All done. Did I even make sense? I think I did. Rest is for all to think and criticise...

Very good analysis. This is where IPKKND failed. the other serials got the intrigue factors into the serial. How maanvi deals with cancer, is jeevika going to know, showing viren in a self -righteous jiji mode.
Sandhya being sent away from her nmarital home by her own husband. MIL feeling sorry for it...FIL trying to help. These are things that people connect to ..

IPKKND had the least intrigue factor..just OTT comedy (not that I am complaining, it was OK, brilliantly carried off by Sanaya).. bathing in the open, ASR repairing household equipment..all kinds of nonsense, which no one connects to in the real world. All viewers had some image of ASR.Women of all ages would love him for some reason or the other.. Young one..hotness factor, middle-aged- attractiveness of ASR (wishful thinking that their husbands were like him), and older women.. wishing that he was their son. But seeing ASR being reduced to some foolish kind of person would have definitely caused people to think that some scripted comedy show was being played out and hence they would have flipped the channel to the other non-scripted (partially fixed) comedy show (IPL) being shown at the same time

Brilliant really, Mary. I went on to FB and read GH's letter to the viewers. How is it that a Creative person does not realise that for the viewer it is the actor(s) who carry the burden of delivering. When we watch all those brilliant movies, it is the actors we remember. The scriptwriters are critically acclaimed through awards and the like. IPKKND is the only series that got me so hooked. I am a professional and a mother and I hardly have the time to even look after myself. But this forum, myeduniya and IPKKND got me so hooked like so many. When the primetime series are on ( and in my case it is Saathiya and the new series), I am in the kitchen listening to just the convo and not actually watching the shows. But for IPKKND I leave everything. After IPKKND I watch news for the half hour and am done.
I really hope that GH reads your post. He mentioned about the 'terrace scene' in his letter - he was fully aware that the twist he was bringing was huge. After having given 200 odd brilliant episodes, to bring one episode that was seriously so ordinary like any typical saas bahu types, where only a little is listened to was totally undigestible. And I think that was the start of everything going downhill. We all appreciate their hardwork and yes the recent episodes have been great.
I so agree with you on the bubbly entry. It shocked me to see a child acting as an adult vamp.
I started to watch IPKKND in September 2011 and even if I want to say to myself that today I am not going to watch this episode, I watch it.
