* Hey guys!! This is my first ever OS. I have been a silent reader for some time now but the incredible talent on this forum has inspired me to give writing a shot. I know its no where near many of your works but I hope you like it. Likes and comments are more than welcome :) The story picks up from where Khushi received a message in yesterday's episode. *
The message was so simple - "Reached london. Battery low. Will call later." Yet the message that should have calmed her down only served to increase the anxiety and anguish she felt ever since he left. As she reread it for the umpeenth time she was certain that something was amiss. Hundreds of questions popped into her head. Why would he send her a message? Why would he even care about her- the girl who was single handedly destroying his di's life?? She couldn't even wrap her wind around the fact that he would tell her something instead of telling his Di- even if it was a ploy to make the family believe that all was well between them. She knew something was terribly wrong and the great business tycoon Arnav Singh Raizada was in serious trouble.
She was broken out of her reverie when payal asked, "kya hua Khushi? Kiska msg hai? tum itnee pareshaan kyun ho? Khusi instantly realized that no matter what she felt she couldn't tell the family about it. She had to be strong for Di - she coulnd't allow her uncessary stress at this stage. She put on a fake smile - the smile that had almost permanently adorned her face outside the confines of their, no, 'his' room - and assured her jiji that everything was fine. Even she was surprised by hollow and fake her words sounded. But the assurance was enough for those who could never see beyond her smile, for those who never read the pain and hurt in her eyes, for those who accepted everything she did as part of her pagalpan - never even endeavouring to think beyond that. Jiji smiled and told Khushi everything would be alright, she needed to get some rest. As much as she wanted to believe her jiji's kind words she already knew that her words were a far cry from reality. Within a few seconds the family had retired to their rooms, telling her that there was nothing to worry about.
She almost wished it were that easy to not worry, after all he had destroyed her life, shattered her every dream, questioned her integrity. He had caused her more pain than she ever thought possible. Heck! He had destroyed HER and what remained was a mere shadow of the vivacious Khushi Kumari Gupta she had once been. Why should give a damn about him? But she knew she was fighting a losing battle. Her wreched heart beat for him. Only him. The nagging questions threatened to overpower her - Would she ever forgive him? How could she just forget all the pain he had inflicted on her? But she pushed them away, she couldn't give into them now.
Despite everything that happened the faintest glimmer hope lingered in her that things would be alright, that she would be able to find happiness, that she would find happiness with him. She had seen the love in his eyes before it was clouded out by the anger and hatred. And that hope was the sole reason for her existence. She had to give him a chance. One chance for him and for herself. One last chance before she allowed the hope to be extinguished forever and let the darkness consume her. So she kept the darkness at bay, because she had to give hope a chance, she had to find him. Find him before it was too late.
*So how was it? Should i continue?*
