Just by hugging nobody becomes impure. Well in Indian soceity the norms for women have always been sterner than those for men and hence quite few men and women still would think that "that hug" made Khushi impure. Well, I am totally with you on this point.

But I too believe that it's not the hug that has been imprinted on his mind, it's that his Jija said that he doesn't love his Di but Khushi and Khushi saying then Leave Anjali... The relationship that he thinks is a fact, is what troubles him. Had he been unaware of any "relation" between Shyam and Khushi, and if Shyam had hugged Khushi as FAMILY, Arnav would not have cared a damn!

As for Arnav and La hugs, they were in a relationship. And Khushi knew it. In fact that's why maybe ASR assumed that Khushi was in relationship with Shyam and that HURTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If ASR thinks Khushi has become impure merely due to a hug, all he deserves is chappals...

But IMO he is hurt due to that supposed relationship...

yeah i agree characterless was stretching it too far…but hey ..this is ipkknd…everything about it is stretched too far..of late…the grand old misunderstanding….but all of us chicas r so in dreams about this fantasy series that we refuse to take anydampening of our spirits lying down

you know how i hate khushi trying to prove her innocence. and how i hate the cvs for making this a chatity and purity issue .

he has always been misinterpreting her. why?

what has she done but good? and that's why i am so passionate about her character. for me it is not about khushi but the views being expresd by the makers

Agreed. It's twenty first century. About time we learn to treat both genders equally. The redemption track better not be short. I want major groveling on Arnav's part.

i get u. but why do i thnk he wud hae still feel he wud have called her characterless. he actually accused her during the desi girl dance too of enjoying herself

He is JELOUSE and can't move from that point! Lets not forget, minutes before witnessing this scene, ASR was staring at Khushi climbing the steps to the 2nd floor with a totally "Besotted" look in his eyes! His eyes were following her, and in his mind he was thinking that "She is the ONE"!.."I have to tell her how I feel"... etc. He was all geared up to give his heart and himself to HER! So you have to feel some pity for the guy!

His jelousey and emmotional involvement in this equation is making him irrational! I think he thinks Khushi "Immoral" for having a relationship with a married man! I doubt he would have the same stance if it were NK she had been with! YES... he would have been jelouse, angry and enviouse! (just like he was when he first found out Khushi was engaged!). But he would never have accused her of "Immorality"! There is nothing immoral about hugging or kissing someone you are in a relationship with! (even in the case of La and ASR). It is a moot point that he didnt love LA!

almost everyone in this post has said how the hug signified something more for him. how it broke his heart and yes i agree.

but but but...I am not convinced he would have not accused her with NK or any other guy too because he has always called her a gold digger and 'tum jaisi ladki'. after the desi girl dance too he accused her for dancing for tohers and enjoying herself.

he judges and condemns her but never applies things to himself

Chill yaar...remember, Khushi also called him Character dheela earlier when she came to know abt his live-in relation with LA...

Its a story abt love-hate relation, not which gender is greater, if they are showing Arnav as a dominant person now, Iam sure it is just to show how wrong he is, not to show how he can getaway with it...

Women by nature are more patient, and no its not thier weakness, but thier strength and maturity...so Khushi here is being a women, she is not reacting the way Arnav behaved when she called him Character Dheela...I am sure she will emerge a winner, though i really feel sorry for her for being blamed inspite of not being her mistake...

and yeah calling a woman characterless hurts more than calling a man characterless...

There has always been double standards particularly in south Asian societies. ASR is not the exception either. He never loved Lavanya nor does he loves Khushi. It cannot be love if he thinks this low of her. He went ahead and was about to kiss Khushi in diwali...he was cheating on Lavanya.

The society needs to change the way they look at women. It's like been raped and blamed for it. Oh yes, you have been raped...why not ? You must have welcomed it...you must have dressed in a certain way...spoke in a certain way...a woman is blamed because that is what men can do...blame the woman. It's a dark world...we live in.

Media needs to stop promoting such demeaning facts.

thank god u said the last line because i was going to say that her calling him character dheela was in context of his living in relationship. even then she got punished. i don't know asr is always the one getting away. it rankles though funnily i have always liked him getting away because he repents later. this time i am not able to take it. he reached an all time low
