Arnav and Khushi - Khushi and Arnav -
Just when Arnav thought he could get rid of the kid and focus on his work, the kid dragged him outside the room to witness the most unexpected site...
Today saw another test of patience of Arnav, put to test by Khushi, ultimately to get weighed against the anguish of Khushi.
One of the elderly neighbors asks Khushi why Arnav is not to be seen anywhere, Khushi responds saying, "he should be coming." Just then Arnav comes out of the rooom with the boy. Khushi says that per the belief now, he is to live many many years... Arnav looks at the crowd gathered and the long line formed; is completely taken by surprise goes, "What the..!" He carefully examines the long line...Khuhsi stands there with both her hands folded and lips curled with a smile..eyes twinkling with mischief.. She makes a gesture to the child to come aside..he smiles and comes to Khushi...Khushi feeds him sweets... Arnav watches both of them and realizes that it is all Khushi's deed...his left eye brow lifts in recognition of Khushi's plan. As Khushi watches, his jaw muscles clench slightly, she does not look him in the eye. Arnav starts looking at the long line in front of him...
People waiting in the line tell him their problems one by one, "This food mixer..does not work for some time now and also makes a lot of noise" ...another one says, "This radio of mine...has no sound.." As Khushi tries to suppress her laughter and make an innocent face...Arnav says to the guy, "So what? What should I do?" the guy says, "Dear, fix it!" The elderly lady says, "He fixed the generator...then fixing he radio and the mixer should be no big deal for him." Arnav gives a loaded look to Khushi as if says, "Ok, I get it!" Just them one more guy says, "And this table fan..this will be very easy for you to fix..Khushi told me..." Khushi interrupts hime and says, "...that you can do anything!" Then with a cursory look at everyone she says, "In fact, he himself said that." Then she looks at him, gives him a fake sweet smile and says with pretend softness, "You remember, don't you? Then fix it, please.." Arnav keeps looking at her with an upset face and subtle anger in his gaze..Khushi continues, "You said you can do everything..then fix it.." Arnav's facial muscles tighten, his jaw muscles tighten further and teeth clench... and he goes, "What the.." and then he realizes that other people are watching them..
Arnav refrains from saying anything further and turns around to go to the room. Khushi comes running, "Listen, " obstructs his path and goes, "Fix it, please.." Comes a strong reply, "Just forget it Ok!" and starts to leave when Khuhsi says in a soft and respectful voice, "Stop, please..wait..please, fix it, no..." Arnav's sharp mind quickly thinks, notices the long line...says to Khushi, "If I fix all these, then what do I get?" Khushi immediately tells him in a stern, loud voice that, "You won't get anything... instead it will all disappear.." Arnav looks puzzled, he goes, "Excuse me!" Khushi continues, "If you do not agree, then I will hide all your stuff!" Arnav just gives Khushi a shrewd look and keeps walking...Khushi again comes and obstructs his path and says, "Ok, alright! I will get you a new liquid bath soap." Arnav says, "That I can get myself!" Khushi's enthusiasm wears off, "Oookayy..." she thinks..Arnav watches her face, he obviously enjoys watching her like this. Khushi comes with another idea, "Ok, tonight you sleep on the bed and I will sleep on the floor.." Arnav very calmly shakes his head and says, "No need to do that.." Khushi finally gives up, asks, "Okay then, what do you want?"
Arnav's face immediately changes...he snaps into the charming, flirtatious lover boy mode... His eyes harbor that deep hypnotizing gaze, he starts taking calculative steps towards Khushi...asks in a deep husky voice looking her in the eye, "Will you do as I wish?" Khushi knows this advance..."amm..yeess.." Khushi says in a shaken, unsure voice...she looks at his moves and realizes what he is up to..but now she does not take backward steps..awaits his arrival to her...Arnav gives her that mesmerizing sweet look and says, "Ok!" Everyone around them smiles...
Arnav looks Khushi in the eye and says, "I will operate this Raizada Repair Center only if you promise that in return we both go back to Shantivan tomorrow!" Stunned Khushi says, "Huuhhh?" Arnav makes a quick, firm move, "Shantivan! Tomorrow! Deal or No deal? Right now!" he asks her..his gaze pure..he means it! Khushi says in a weak unsettled voice, "OOOKay!" Arnav warns her in a challenging voice, "Do not forget! Because, I will remember.." These young Raizadas - they will go any length to outdo each other in their game of challenges..! Arnav sits down in the middle of the room - the crowd surrounds him..he repairs one item after another..perspiring in the heat... wipes off his sweat on his sleeve...Khushi having fun..suppresses her laughter..observes him...Arnav intermmittently gives her an upset look...Khushi pretends to watch him calmly when in fact she wants to laugh...
Buaji and Garima struggle to translate a recipe from English to Hindi...most likely seems like they are making an effort to make a dish of Arnav's liking..that's when they hear the alarm clock go off..they wonder where this noise is coming from. That brings Buaji outside of the kitchen..In the meantime as Arnav repairs item after item, the elderly lady puts her hand on arnav's head and says, "May God bless you and give you intelligence to repair everything..' One of the neihbor points out, "Auntie, he already got it that's why he has been repairing.." That's when Buaji walks in..She is shocked to see the scene - she exclaims, "Oh My God! What's going on in here? What nonsense is this! Why are you guys doing this?" Arnav does not know what to say. Khushi realizes that Buaji is not happy. The elderly lady though, goes, "Your son-in-law is a diamond, indeed! He can fix anything!" Buaji says in a firm angry voice, "Yes, he is a diamond indeed! Then..why have you turned him into a mechanic? Is this any way to behave? Are you out of your mind?
Do you even know that he owns all big shot industries...! Understood? " Arnav's face shows embarrassment. Khushi wants to say something but cannot - there is no remorse on her face.. Buaji yells at all the neighbors, "Get up! Pick up your stuff and leave right now! Does anyone put their son-in-law to work? Get out!" I applaud Buaji for the nice and appropriate words she used and for what she did! IT SEEMED TO ME THAT SHE WAS THE ONLY BRAINIAC THERE, Arnav's brain has to carry Khushi's tantrums with it so cannot always go the high-five ways! Arnav gives Khushi a look with a question in his eyes..Khushi has no answer... After everyone leaves, Buaji nicely says to Arnav, "Dear, at least you should not have agreed to do this!" In response, Arnav's gaze lifts up to Khushi...Buaji follows his gaze... Khushi stands there with an innocent face but Buaji knows better... She walks over to Khushi, grabs her by ear, and says, "You crazy girl! This idea of social service must have popped out of your head!" Khushi asks Buaji to let it go as Buaji tries to talk sense into her, "He is your husband for God's sake...show some respect!"

Arnav gets a call on his blue tooth just then! He accepts the call, gets up and starts talking .. Buaji thinks that he is talking to her- so she follows him and keeps responding to what Arnav says to the other person on phone...creating a hilarious string of coversation and expressions...Finally, Arnav takes his Blue Tooth off and explains to Buaji what it is and how it works.. admirably he does not lose his patience while explaining it all to Buaji...she still chases him around..to be able to continue the conversation on phone, Arnav tries to step out of the house...As rushes down the stairs, Buaji wants him to be careful...Arnav does not watch his step...slips over cow-dung and falls...
Buaji comes running to help him..Khushi comes running but bursts out laughing at him...Arnav gets all covered in cow dung... Buaji actually comes and while says things to make him feel good, "Do not woory! This will help you feel cool in the heat!" she actually gives him a hand and helps him get back up on his feet. Arnav inspects his clothing and body...he spots Khushi laughing, eager to say something so he goes, "Don't even say a word!" awww so cute! Arnav must feel closest to Khushi that's why without saying a thing he took it out on her like a young boy!
The elderly woman suggests to Khushi that she gets the garden hose to wash off the dirt on Arnav! Khushi tries to communicate through her actions, a frustrated Arnav yells, "What?" Khushi laughs and runs to get the hose. Khushi brings the hose with running water over and mischievously asks Arnav, "Shall I introduce you to everyone once again?" As Arnav controlls his frustration and embarassment, she continues " Let it be! Now you belong to this neighborhood completely! You worked out with all the uncles in the morning, then you had your public bath, and just like everyone you slipped over the cow dung by mistake.." Buaji does not like the way Khushi keeps talking to Arnav. Arnav still continues to suppress his anger. Khushi continues, "So, now, tell me Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada, how would you.." then without giving him any warning, she starts spraying him with water...with a wide smile and childish twinkle in her eyes, Khushi continues to spray water on Arnav even after the dirt is washed off...Arnav's eyes full of humiliation, disgust and perceived insult...He still does not say anything to Khushi, just watches her childish act... Buaji asks her to stop, she does not... Finally, Arnav just leaves to go inside the house...
Later on in the day, Bride's mother gets worried about holding pre-wedding Music Ceremony "Sangeet" and the actaul wedding same day...Khushi and Garima assure her that they will help her get everything done smoothly.
Later in the evening, as Preeto gets ready, in front of the mirror, a little nervous... Khushi walks in - looking stunningly beautiful, in a red lehenga and just enough jewelry to go with it. She tells her friend to forget all other worries and to just remember that this is the best and most important day of her life. She starts putting the jewelry on the bride. Once evrything is done, Khushi gives her a hug and asks others around, "Doesn't Preeto look beautiful?"
Just then , outside the room, Arnav spots Buaji struggling to move air cooler. He offers help. Buaji asks him to bring it to the bride's dressing room. As Arnav walks into the room, he hears one of the girls asking Khushi, " Hey Khushi, what are you hiding behind yor smile? Are you remembering your wedding day? Right.." Khushi's smile disappers...Arnav stunned at the question, stops in his way! As unpleasnt memories of her wedding night flash back in front of Khuhshi's eyes, the gilrs insist, "Come on, Khushi! Tell us! Tell us something!" Finally the bride says, "Yes, tell us, Khushi!" Khushi tries.."That.." her voice heavy, eyes waiting to well up, she tries to put a smile on her fcae..the girls say, 'Stop being shy now! tell us!"
Most Precious Moment: Khushi starts telling her friends as Arnav listens...Khushi is unaware of Arnav's presence in the room..." My lehenga... long skirt... was similar to yours...but had some green in it...my favorite color..the color of luscious mountains... My earrings were not heavy but..had beautiful work done that made them jingle with even a light breeze...Both my hands were fully decked up with bangles... My payal..anklets had lots of ghoongroos..bells...made beautiful sound with every step I took..And on my forehead...a tika, just like the beautiful moon!" As Khushi elaborates her dream that never came true..Arnav experiences excruciating pain with every her word odf hers... he finds it difficult to swallow..his eyes watery...his gaze depicts heartfelt pain..Khushi's pain finding its way to Arnav's heart thru her words and then reflecting back on his face...they do not know yet but a bridge is built in between their hearts so strong that Khushi's pain and suffering have become Arnav's suffering now..Khushi still unaware of the fact... Khushi continues...as she covers the head of the bride with her veil, " I had my head covered just like this.." Arnav gulps down in heartwrenching pain...as he watches her... One of the girls says, "Khushi, I wish you had invited us to your wedding! We at least would know how beautiful our freind looked lthat day!" Khushi's heart sinking in pain...that pain traversing to Arnav's eyes and his heart...She forces a smile on her face...as she looks in the mirror she sees Arnav's reflection... their eyes find a way of communicating with each other through the mirror...both their eyes well up and reflect the same pain.. Khushi's eyes have a vulnerable feeling...Arnav's eyes say to her, "I understand your pain..." They both find it hard to continue to look in each other's eye.. as they both seek answers and solace...

hamaare seene se guzar raha hai
the smoke due to the burning of your heart
is finding its way to my heart
Arnav puts the cooler down...as he is about to leave the room, he turns around,,,looks Khushi in the eye...Khushi's eyes have tears...questions...but as they lock their gaze they re-live the painful memory around the events of their wedding.. together...As Khushi's eyes start asking questions and communicating pain..Arnav's eyes go from "I share your pain.." to "I have made a promise to myself!"..."for you, Khushi!"
Tumhari palkon se gir ke shabnam
hamari aakhon main ruk gayi hai
Teardrops rolling out of your eyes
are finding shelter in my eyes..
Even I silently cried with them ...
Untold Emotions: Arnav and Khushi though different personalities they have some similar traits - when it comes to challenges, they make impulsive decisions and they accept challenges without thinking! They try to outdo each other... Arnav and Khushi once again, come back to their same old deal that got Khuhsi to agree to do whatever Arnav wanted if he won the challenge!
Khushi continues her childish acts of irritating Arnav, though Buaji and Garima try to teach her some sense about it...she continues to embarrass and humiliate Arnav in public..The sooner she realizes that her respect is tied in with his, the better off she will be..
Does Khushi go overboard with her pranks because of the disgust she is harboring secondary to her hasty unpleasnt marriage..absolutely not- everytime she calls herslef Khushi kumari Gupat Singh Raizada - she is proud... Every time she calls Arnav her husband..she accepts the package that comes with it...Does she behave like his wife? Not yet! They are still in their courtship phase... Arnav has gradually started taking steps to help Khushi's senses awaken to be able to realize what she feels about him... He has gone to become her protector from her tormenter...He, of couse, is a fierce lover at core...
He may not rejoice in every silly happy moment Khushi enjoys but he certainly shares and experiences her pain more than she does at times..deep down in his heart... that's true love
I am more than 100% sure that, the Arnav who rememberd that Khushi likes Gol Gappe and are a good way to win her heart back...took all notes deligently as to what Khushi's dream wedding attire would have beeen - there is a promise in his eye when he looks at Khushi before leaving the room...to make it right... He will make everything right when it is the right time!
What tomorrow has in store, only DM knows but...Arnav made a prmise to himself for his Khushi's happiness and he certainly will follow up on it to wipe off the unpleasant memories...
Here come the first time lovers, trading the path of their first love, demons of past haunting them with beauties of future beconing them...One bears the burden to sail the other thru...other bears the burden to be the strength for both... ❤️
