Res -- have yet to watch the epi
EDIT:
JW!! Awesome post as always.
Watched epi. Mixed feelings. The only scene that I really found appealing was the wistful rabba ve when they were wished an eternity together. I thought that scene was poignant. It was in the middle of a patchy track...but it still stood out for me.
I have hopes for this track. Something should move...if not MU clearing than their relationship should move. They both need to understand the other's POV. And for this reason it is important to give them a peek into each other's past. If this track is to make him understand Khushi, her environment then it is as important for her to understand his. He has seen reduced circumstances, he has seen struggle. Now, with this PH's track record of poor to pathetic execution, I am not sure how they will achieve this.
That being said, I have hopes!!!
Again, awesome post!!
Hiya Renu😃
Thanks so much😊
Am absolutely with you on the Rabba Ve scene...it is the crux of this serial...and something that has been compromised time and again.
I have hope for this track too...especially ASR and Shashi...lets hope Friday is good.
Regarding the remainder part of your second paragraph...by now you know that I am unapologetic about what I write...and so I will say this Renu because the very little that I know you I know you will not judge me and take it at face value...an aspect of you that I have caught on to and immensely respect😳...
to me Khushi is not being compromised now in these comic scenes...she has been compromised the day the production house projected her as the higher moral ground...maybe it is the great Indian concept of sexually abusing women when given the opportunity at each traffic signal...and then worshiping Devi Maiyya.😳...or maybe it is just that Star Plus believes that the Soch Nahi is to make women always right...even at the cost of compromising basic human values.😳
Renu, I can deal with economic, academic and material arrongance, ...prejudice and high handedness...its often encountered in my everyday work life and the Indian social system I am born into...this prejudice and arrogance is often verbal and in the face, so I fight it equally...of course it is not done and therefore it can be despised with...it is an easy target...it is also a visually affronting target...
but in the same light Renu, garbing a "moral arrogance", an arrogance of assuming that all virtues and goodness rest with me...while you are emotionally and virtuously corrupt ...all under the facade of innocence and the exterior of a woman's body...is equally not done😳
You said in my other post that you want a love story...I do too...but if you put the whole thing in context...this serial is mostly being projected as no longer a theme of a love story ...but of a villian named ASR..who has no emotions or virtues...who has to be cleansed by a pure Khushi.
I am clueless as to what lesson is ASR being thought about humble beginnings ...unless all of us have just logged in...wasnt ASR thrown out of his home at a very young age too...and has precisely worked through the same ranks...So?
In fact Khushi has had more insight into ASR's life than he has ever had...she has spent much more time with Nani and Anjali than he has spent with even Khushi...even then...there is clearly a marked approach in his understaning of her...he may say "farak nahi padta"...but time and again he supports her, defends her...infact understands that she does things without thinking...
yes there is the MU...but honestly Renu...and in giving this following example, I assume you are originally and ethnically from India...so when we don't forgive a person who went ahead of us in the queue for cinema tickets in India...ASR ne to phir bhi worse dekha hai😳
I am hopeful too...but only about one thing now...that it is ASR himself who puts together the pieces and takes this love story ahead
Sorry if this was lenghty...but you should know by now that I love to pick your brain🤗
Thanks😊
