Hola folks ...How are you? For those of you who are wondering...Yes...I did change my user ID last night...😃Don't know about you but I just LOVED the episode today...It had superb acting
It had great characterization
It had great connection between the real and the pretend...
The epiosde deserves...a standing ovation from me...for both Sanaya and Barun for making a silly thing like a fancy dress competition come alive...It was WOW!!!👏👏👏👏
I went into the scene when the were performing...I was there...They made may feel it!!! Very well done indeed!! ⭐️
Sanaya did a great job to start with...acting out the initial confusion...tryingto find her footing into the scene...blabbering...Majnu, then nani...before Arnie came on the stage...
Absolutely LOVED his dialogue..."Khushi I don't know what is to be done...so you tell me...OK?" ...Awww...how sweet was that...He gave her the command...He was willing to follow...😊
She started off...Switching between Mein and Hum...Did that signify some of what she said was real...and only some pretend...? She talked about how she only loved one and only one...and although she has never said it...that is what she has always felt...and those who don't know better about love expect spoken words...
He on his part felt it like the audience did...He let down his guard...He became Arnav...who has always loved her...For who nothing matters...All the bad he has said...all the bad he has done...none of that is of significance...what is significant is that his heart only desires her...
And then both of them die...his dialogues not rehearsed came from what he felt...
She felt it ...She knew it was teh truth...The Farq Nahi Padta was...a total give away...
But the girl who just said...that those who dont know any better expect spoken words expected spoken words herself...She wanted him to confirm what she knows to be true...She begged...she tried...But the gurads were on in the dressing room...He was back in his shell...!
The trasnition was so good today...It was a treat to watch...
Her frustration...in the precap...so real...

Amen with a cherry on top, Sush! IT'S BACK. 🥳 🥳

THIS is the show that so many of us fell in love with, and we stuck it out through OTT comedy, mindless MU's, conversations with Laxmi the goat, and crazy character assassination attempts.

I'll admit I was apprehensive at the thought of ASR doing a Ranjha - the lovesick village boy, a complete one-eighty to the suave man-of-the-world that is ASR. BS delivered a restrained, yet believable performance. Ditto SI, the hesitation with which they started out, and then sort of flowed into their characters was beautifully done. They got thrown in at the deep end, and it showed. A polished, perfect enactment would have been out of place here.

Today's five cents...happy Arhiday! 🥳 🥳

1. The Gabbar-Thakur clip was mercifully short. Got to hand it to the CV's - you take one of the most iconic moments of Hindi cinema and spoof it - you had better be prepared for the inevitable brickbats that will follow.😆 Same goes for the Salim-Anarkali bit, build-up to the main act.

2. KKGSR starts off to audience heckling. This is usually annoying, but I loved that guy's line - "make up your mind - Ranjha, Majnu or Nani!" No offense to these guys - but if Heer/Laila had had that choice - they'd pick Nani in a heartbeat...talk about a master manipulator!! 🤗

3. Speaking of Nani - she's busy laying a guilt trip on her reluctant grandson - proving yet again that he got all his ASR genes from her. She's got her moves down pat - charm, disarm, attack. Both of them know how to locate their opponent's jugular and zero in for the kill. But she's got a few decades of experience to boot, and before you can say "what-the", ASR is striding out onto the stage to enact a "stupid" love story! 😆

4. "Farak padta hai" cleverly worked into ASR's monologue - he is no longer Ranjha, and the audience doesn't exist anymore. Minor gripe - there were too many cutaway shots of audience reactions, kinda dilutes the intensity of the moment. 🤢 They did the same thing during that dance last week, though that was compounded by positioning the camera behind all those lanterns and assorted paraphernelia dangling from the ceiling. 😡 CV's - did you lose the editor/cameraman you had for Teri Meri?

Honorable mention on audience reaction shots - Jayshree T was the only one who NAILED her expression. Go on Nani - show the young 'uns how its done! 👏 👏

The lights come on to a standing O...but KKGSR could care less - she's focused on what he almost said. Nice touch by the director and a precap of what will follow - she'll continue to hound him for an answer.

5. Precap. W*F? But I'm going to restrain myself here and not do what I accuse the CV's of - namely, have an OTT reaction to a twelve second clip. This might be another head fake like last Friday, or the catalyst to another knock-down, drag-out fight that will have them actually completing a conversation for a change. 😕

Though I gotta say, the one thing I've always liked is that their disagreements were kept private. CV's - be very careful...take the dirty laundry out, and you just have a bunch of people holding their noses at the smell. Let's see how they salvage this tomorrow.

PS: What happened to the PayMam act...is that scheduled for tomorrow? Wouldn't that be anticlimactic - like going to a Little League game after watching the (Yankees/Red Sox/Giants/insert favorite team) mop up the World Series? 😆

BS - for the love of Mike, shave already!

Completely agree with you today Sush!

Beautiful episode, great dialogues, background music and brilliant performance by Sarun. I absolutely loved it😃

I liked how Nani emotionally blackmailed Arnav into going on stage. It was good to see him take the practical route and ask her to apologize and end the drama they were unprepared for. But the scene played out well with him accepting for Nani and though he won't admit it for Khushi.

Khushi's initial ramblings on stage shows that she was lost but Arnav's entry made all the difference to her and her confidence was back. He was honest when he said that he had no clue about what to say and asked her to take the lead. Big step for someone who just said he had a BIG ego. I love how they are slowly weaving the title track into the story telling. Makes me hope good times are coming!

Khushi goes on to narrate the story of Heer who is "dil se Ranjha". I actually loved it when she sarcastically mentioned to Arnav that next would be the best moment for Arnav and worst one for Ranjha, that she would die. I think that's what pushed him to pour out his heart, the fear of losing her is paramount for him. I loved how the emotions and dialogues blurred between Ranjha and Arnav's own feelings, the tear drop from Khushi's eyes that he gently wipes off, the FARAK NAHI PADTA was killer, plus how he says that his harsh words and actions do not matter coz he has always always...Loved the scene where she opens her eyes and sees him with his eyes closed, as if she was trying to absorb what this complex man was saying to her.

Khushi immediately picks up on his emotions and probes him further. Performance wise I think Sarun were just brilliant in this segment. I loved the earring scene, I'm so glad she saw him holding onto it lost in thought, loved how she gently extends her hand and takes it from him. Khushi knows that Arnav loves her, the very fact that she is pushing so hard to get him to admit means she realizes there is something to admit. But again ego, hurt, betrayal stops him, he brushes her questions off as acting and "for my family" and takes off again breaking her hopes and leaving behind a frustrated Khushi. Not sure what to make of the precap but I'll hold my judgment on that till I see the whole scene.

Some other points: Arnav keeps telling Khushi that what he is doing is for his family and that she should not start dreaming, this dialogue was fine pre MU but now if he thinks she loves Shyam, then why would she want him to confess?? Also Khushi mentions that when you love one with your heart and soul, you don't need words: eyes are enough to convey the emotions. Woman you have been staring into those hazel gems for 9 months now while rabba veying, how come you haven't caught on to the true emotions!

Barun, please shave!

Today's episode was truly Phenomenal Lady Universe!

👏Barun and Sanaya were just brilliant and this is what was needed for to revive the show! 👏

There was inconsistency in the past and these brilliant actors were being totally under utilizied and honestly their talent was being abused showing us some rather nonsensical stuff but today Bravo to the actors and the creatives for giving them this opportunity to perform such amazing scenes and providing the audience the privilege to witness such amazing chemistry, love and unsaid passion on the small screen. 👏

-Khushi really comes alive when Arnie is around. The way she says to him now the worst moment in Ranjha's life and the best moment in your life will come and Arnie says what she says my death! She says it with such a stern yet comical face was beautifully done and said. The guys soul just shakes...his heart brakes her words came out as a joke but to him his entire world in that very moment fell apart. Sanaya was just brilliant today. 👍🏼

-Arnie will do anything to help is wife out. ANYTHING!!!!! And then he doesnt know a single line yet he says whats in his heart with such innocence and truth and humility it makes you wonder that the fort of ASR has such a soft and caring person inside it. His dialogues, the way he looked at her...the pain in his eyes and the earings scenes were just beautiful...if this isnt love i really dont know what love is. Hai silly Arnie ask her already...or tell her!!! 😵 Barun was as brilliant today. 😍

-Nani the mastermind is becoming my most fav character on the show. The woman has control over everything. She offered him the keys very well knowing that he would not take them! Well played Nani! You totally ROCKED it ! 🤗

-The audience was kinda annoying...between that weird announcer and the audience i could barf. Such good looking leads and support cast and the ugliest audience on tv! Atleast throw some makeup on them before you bring them out! 🤢

-The precap I honestly dont care today! Agreed topping this might be hard but really the story has moved somewhere in the last week or so and I was so heart broken after Friday that worrying about todays precap is useless! All i am saying is that please CV's dont ruin it. Its at a good place now pretty please let the story go to it's peak already...Its like watching the Sensex! 500 points up one day and 1500 points down the very next day. 😳

🥳Overall doing a happy dance! I will be okay dealing with morons at work if this is what I get to watch when I come back home! Definately the highlight of my day today!

The only scene I almost jumped was when he ate the mithai! Wasnt he a diabetic last time we checked? Ah almost perfect...and he really took a big bite of that piece too!😕 Cant have it all can we?

Jamba I second you: BS/ASR/Arnav/Arnie - SHAVE!!!!!

Ab Ranjha bhi aagaya, love story ko aagey bada dho😆😆😆 CV's heard our sentiments👏 How many of us feel the same way? I feel like I was one of the hecklers in the audience😆 Can we see the love story gain momentum?

Nani played a huge role w/Anjali in the know. For now, they are on team Khushi. Both Anjali & nani realize Khushi is the one for ASR, the right one and the only one. They know how ASR feels about her; obviously the older bhangofied nani seems to take the bhaang well, years of bhaang experience! But the first timers, Arhi were knocked out and have selective memory😉 This time Ranjha dies just in time...🤣 Very clever of CV's indeed...👏

Do Arhi need a skit to throw a fit? They are self-destructive! Like I said yest, all said & done we have are back where we started! I confessed but not quite; last time I had bhaang, this time I'm Ranjha...Woh Ranjha ke lines the...🤣 Smart ass indeed😆What is stopping him from the confession? Is it safe to say it's not ego, coz he did want to confess before the terrace scene happened.

It has to be the other issue, trust! Why is trust such a big issue? Does it take this long to judge a person's character? Men in arranged marriages probably trust the girl, who they probably never got a chance to talk to, let alone live in the same room. He knew her before the marriage, has been living w/her , she has tried to cover his faults, he has never seen her eyeing his jeejaji, she has a book on 100 ideas to get under his skin. Isn't that enough evidence to prove she is into him? Wouldn't she spill the beans at least to her lover, the snake? Is his judgment so flawed?

If I were Khushi I wouldn't be half as nice. Would you? Even today she just asked him to leave. But I think this time she has reached the threshold; she is frustrated, angry & probably feeling helpless! Would she just let it go & continue with her 100 ideas or will she do something drastic?

"Jab jo bura kaha, uska koi matlab nahin. Jab jo bura kiya uska koi matlab nahin..."

Beautiful words but could they have saved these lines for another day? When he confessed as ASR not as Ranjha! Does this even mean a thing?

A drastic measure is required! I think the only way to get him to confess is do a Heer on him...🤣Yes, maybe a Bollywood style suicide attempt! It worked in the play when she said she was going to die; the lines just flowed for Ranjha...😳😳😳 Unless Khushi's life is in danger, we will not see him confess! Many miles to go...We are where we began... Until the next big festival or the next competition...😆😆😆

Was this Ranjha or ASR? Maybe it was Majnu...🤣

**Edited**

Okay, so I loved this episode. Its true what they say everything happens for a reason and the last minute change was indeed a blessing in disguise here. I am glad we got an act instead of a dance, suited the track better with the Heer Ranjha story becoming more about Arnav and Khushi midway.
I agree with those who say Arnav learned how to play the game from Nani. Nani knows very well Khushi is one of Arnav's weakness and used it to her advantage. Nani knew that no matter how stupid he thought this was he would never be able to tolerate Khushi being humiliated in front of everyone, he would go to her rescue and that is exactly what he did. Really like that the CVs had Khushi know beforehand this was Nani's doing and that Arnav would need her help since he had no idea what to say. It kept his character consistent considering just moments ago he thought this was a stupid competition, story.
Really liked the way midway it went from being about Heer Ranjha to Arnav and Khushi. Khushi talking about her death immediately triggered the emotions in Arnav, he could no longer hold back how he felt. It was beautifully done the way he poured his heart out, him being nothing without her, no rights and wrongs in love, being unfair to her. Well written, well acted out by Barun and Sanaya especially the tear that fell from Khushi's eye as Arnav spoke.. nice touch!!
I'm so glad Khushi saw Arnav with the earring, it only furthered what she knew in her heart about how Arnav felt about her all that is left is for her to hear it.
Now to the precap, I know there was a lot of outrage against Khushi but I am going to wait until I see the episode for myself before I give my POV. One thing I have learnt about this show is to watch before judging, Friday's ending was proof of that. I was dreading what would come Monday but instead I was surprised at the positive turn. The same may happen here, I do believe the CVs are paving the way for both to move past the MU as their love is overpowering the hatred they try so hard to portray.

I loved the episode. Sanaya, Barun and dialogues ruled today. The first 5 minutes could easily be fast forwarded till Khushi came on stage and from then on the ball started rolling. The CV's did a great job with the Heer Ranjha storyline. I was very skeptical when I heard it last week but how well they weaved it! I am glad they did away with the dance because this definetly seems more realistic.

The tear drop from Khushi sets of a plethora of emotions from Arnav who has never been able to see her cry in spite of all hatred. The last dialogue "Tumse jo bura kaha..." was a standout, so true and yet even there Arnav is not able to complete the sentence.

There was a scene when amidst of the applause Khushi asks him 'Kuch keh rehe the aap..', and Arnav leans over to hear her better still holding hands. To me it was such a nice scene where they looked like any other couple without the MU, one reaching out for the other. He as expected then does withdraw back on hearing the full question.

They are laying all the ground work for another "maha" confrontation between the two and Khushi is not going to let it go easily this time. I am so looking forward to it. I dont think Khushi has been potrayed so angry since after the marraige.

Khushi repeating the lines to Arnav at the end was so similar to Arnav repeating lines to Khushi after her "Didi tera dewar diwana..'song in Sangeet - both so in tune to what the other one is saying yet such a huge difference in the scenes. 'Dont believe in everything you see' - How ironical is Arnav's statement?

Barun was brilliant in the Ranjha part and Sanaya was explosive in the last scene.

@Meens - Ditto your sentiments. Barun high time for a shave!

Hi Sush and Spice girls,

After a long time, I am writing in this post, became bit busy with projects... Sush some how this track got its hold from last week, and regained my interest. The story is good and the camera person is really good. But i felt editing and dialogues are not up to the mark. The dialogues of Ranja are really good. but heer's are not impressive. I felt like Kushi has come to an edge, and she became very frustrated, now i think she is going to take a big step, which really routes to a big conversation. Any how enjoyed last 10 minutes of the show. The first part gabbar and etc,, did not impressed me.

I was not looking forward to this much. But, I loved the enactment not because of low expectation but I could again feel their pain. Arnav's lines reminded me of the episode where he was started talking to LA ended up saying sorry to Khushi. He was in tears and so was she. Loved Khushi's desparate attempt to hear he lives her. Made me feel sad again. The way she threw away the earring, good portrayal of her frustration.

Can't wait to see his redemption even more. Expecting a big showdown this week.
