he is so insecure about her love for him! his big fat ego makes him scared that she may reject him! that is why he is guarding himself so much! khushi being khushi confesses will finally let him go of the insecurity and i hope he reciprocates after this atleast!

I like what Swap-Arhil says. Think she nails it. Our big ASR is insecure and scared when it comes to emotions. He is more comfortable with no emotions, especially love for KKGSR. I wonder what it will take for him to break though. Good questions and answers...

i think the realization that he's supposed to be acting and not blurting out his own feelings stopped him from completing his words, which is why he collapsed before finishing to make it seem that it was just part of the play. :( but gotta say Barun did a fantastic job in acting and delivering his dialogues as Arnav :)

I don't think it's his ego...

I think its his fear of rejection. when their is fear of rejection and hurt you don't want to take a chance..

As he said to Anjali, i thought you left me and gone like mama...

He saw the hug betweem Kushi and Shyam.. He wants its be a bad dream but he will never be able to hear kushi say that she doesn't love him... So don't want to get hurt...

Not Ego..he was scared to confess or to open his feelings due to hard past. If we remember he decided to tell Khushi about his feeling on the day of Payash marriage but ended Heartbroken, so he wants to hug her, love her, care her but scared.

By the way I love and admire ASR's Ego..this is what keep him strong and fight with the world.
