yes...somehow this i can digest...and it covers everything...his fear of LOVE...thats whats the trigger here...that is responsible for all the heartache and mu...and hatred and pride...

I think ego is the to-go answer. Arnav has, many times, shown his egoistic side to Khushi. That's who he is, he's Arnav Singh Raizada. But there are instance, infinitely more profound, where he's let the mask of ego slide away.

A naked, soulful and vulnerable Arnav. Someone who's locked away in the deepest of ASR's heart and emerges when Khushi reaches for it and grabs it.

So my take- more than any thing it's the fear of rejection. He after all thinks Khushi's in love with Shyam and for her to actually say she loves someone else would shatter Arnav and his strong command over his 'dhimag' will fall apart as as his 'dil' breaks. And that's a situation Arnav wants to avoid at all costs.

Or something like that. 😆

hmm...u mean to say he is afraid to hear the truth (or what he believes to be)..of the pain that will shatter his world...😆..our arniekins at his vulnerable best..

apparently he loves her deeply. but when his heart acknowledged his feelings for her, he was all set to confess to her and to his bad luck he was dismayed when he saw that creep hugging khushi.

that dismayed him and out of anger and to save his sister's life he married her.. but some where he knows khushi is not that kind of girl to betray anyone.. and he has sufficient incidents to know of it.

she readily agreed to marry him for the sake of her sister's happiness.. he knows..

in the heer ranjha act- he had confessed to her that he does not know the lines of the act..so they will be enacting on their own. khushi has the flow and she did the act with the flow.. and when arnav's turn he could speak becoz as per the act she was dead and he loves to admire her when she is asleep and he does not like to show his true feelings to her when she is seeing him😉

so he thought this is the best moment to come close to her and speak his heart and which he did...he did not do further, stopped mid way becoz he knows khushi has feelings for him as well and he saw her tear and wiped it. i don't think the ego stopped him, he just stopped .. thgt this is not the moment to confess..he did say farq nahi padtha ... some thing.. she cired becoz every word he spoke was his true feelings towards her.

i would have said ego but he seemed to be letting go of his ego during the act and was confessing..he is more afraid of the 'Truth' and Rejection.

maybe all of what you mentioned. he is a type of a character which has mixed emotions. plus, this also depicted a very high point of the real purpose of the serial. incomplete sentence probably showed their incompleteness without each other. it couldve showed how arnav is scared of love. nevertheless, it once again showed khushi that STOP DREAMING GAL, HE'S SO NOT GONNA SAY IT! ITS IN YOUR HANDS NOW! 😛

i think he feels rejected after that terrace scene ...he stopped due to misunderstanding...

it must be his biggg ego which made him stop to confesss
