As to the story after the MU - to each her own. I am actually glad that you always hold your ground so well. I tried to explain to you once why I felt the non-linearity in the story was rather TRP-induced instead of all of it being based on reality. But you might know something that I don't know. And maybe sometime later, i will love to have discussion with you to know more about your PoV. But thanks again for your reply.

What keeps viewers hooked in a show like this is the delicious tension of passion-antagonism between the lead pair. It is all about missed moments, possibilities, allusions, unfulfilled desire and so on. This is why all the back and forth is necessary because you need to keep the audience hanging by a thread at all times.

Now on to reality. While writing the episodes purely within the conventions of a daily soap love story, the writers have managed to (purely accidentally) portray a fairly real picture of just how maddening these passion based relationships are. These are two large, alpha characters in a relationship and the result will be exactly what is shown - ego tussles, mis-communications, simmering tensions and love or something like it.

Now just because the intention was TRP driven doesn't mean it invalidates what is shown.

What puzzles me is why you would persist as a viewer after 2 months of dissatisfaction? 😊 Surely Mr. Sobti is not so compelling that you'd force yourself to sit through the show day after day 😃. I'll confess that I hardly have the patience for that, hot man or not. If I don't like something for a week, I quit.

Why I watched till today is because I was hopeful about that one day their actual intentions behind hanging me by the thread will get to me. But it didn't. I don't quit anything that easily. I am a tenacious person by nature. :) I might crib but I will still figure out ways to happily keep at it.

Ha ha ha - of course I will. There's no fun if we agree on everything, and that's part of what makes this forum so compelling. It always helps us clarify our thoughts if we have to defend our positions.

I have met people like you on the forum as well. Who are so much more than the show. The forum is my place to keep in touch with them. The best thing that the show has done for me. :)

About the CVs writing, I know you are more aware of their world than I am. I was actually going to write to you about my interaction with a male TV lead about this very same issue but then I thought you might still know better and then I shut up. 😊

Huh? I have exactly one friend who's a daily show writer. Yes, this person has shared their experiences with me, but that's just about it. Why don't you go ahead and share your interaction with the TV lead? I'm sure there are many here who'd love to hear about this.

Also, by the looks of it, most people are quitting it even if that is for the moment. So, I guess the current track is not generating the nail-biting TRP anymore too. I am sorry. I really am not being happy at all this. But it just seems the fact right now.

That's fine by me. If I cared about TRP numbers I would be watching Diya aur Baati 😊
