Fantastic analysis! I agree with all the points made above. I think the Arnav / Lavanya relationship is a really fascinating one actually, and said alot about who ASR was when the show first began. It was definitely a sexual relationship to some extent. It must have been, right? At least before she moved into the house? It's a little ambiguous. But, all in all, I think you're totally right - she was convenient for him. He basically used her, which was in line with the ASR personality at that time. But, grew to respect her, which is why he ultimately let her go.

6: and if arnav was actually sexually attracted to lavanya y didnt he ever share an intimate moment with her when she was living at his place ??????

so the only reason arnav and lavanya were in a relationship was bcuz :

1: he wanted to keep away the other girls.

2: he didnt want to be continuously badgered by nani to get married .

3: and lyk u said she was smart enough to do the office work and used to put up with his temper .

If we r talking about a sexual relationship I think ARnav had a sexual relationship with Lavanya, atleast upto some extend. When she first came to live in RM she was expecting that they would share a same room right. If they were planning to stay in a live-in relationship what is the point of not having a sexual relationship. And can u remember when Kushi asked Lavanya what is a live-in relationship means then she said that it means that two people does everything which married people does without getting married. So i am not sure whether they have had sex or not but it was some kind of a sexual relationship.
