Hmmn...have been thinking on and off about our collective fascination😆...the serial of course😆 and many a times I struggle with one aspect...it resurfaced after I logged on today and saw the first post thatwas headed 'ASR Khushi as Heer Ranjha'...Why😕 ...Is love considered great only if its tragic?😕...Why?😕

Today we had a group social friends come over at home...one of whom has stayed in a lot of countries as her husband was posted there for work, UK, India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, US...she spoke about her husband and his job and why though the transition from one diverse country to another was difficult for her, she still did that willingly as he clearly needed support and she didnt want to be away from him...The lady is aged 57😊...and still very much in love with her husband😊

I think thats a great love story😊😊...even though she does not remotely look like Khushi and my dear uncle is no where near ASR😃...I think my grandparents shared a great love story😃...Hope I would too😳

So...Is love considered great only if its tragic?😳

And if indeed thats the theme that IPPKND intended to always take...then has it not somewhere lost the plot😕

Where is the love to begin with ...that can then turn tragic?

I risk being called prejudiced ...but there is no other way to say this...the only love I can feel here is ASR's...it is evident in every breath he takes...every time he looks at Khushi or does not...yes there is no doubt that he equally makes a mess of it with his misguided arrogance and dislike...but I feel he now loves her now more than even sister Anjali😳

ASR died a painful death that day when he saw two people on the terrace...not just because one of it was his brother in law come close family

BUT because the other person he was was someone whom ASR lost himself to😳...the love of his life...or rather his life...Khushi

And ASR got a new life that day when he held a bhaang drunk girl in his arms😳...the love of his life...or rather his life...Khushi

Now on the other hand...where is the critical love when it comes to Khushi...the way things seem to often be headed ...Khushi needs an antacid...not ASR😆😆...When are we going to see a scene or two when Kushi tells herself that she loves him?

Will only tradegy make ASR and Khushi immortal?

One of my best scenes so far in this serial was when ASR and Khushi both look up at the skies and remember their parents...now that was a scene I would love to have with my soulmate or partner😳...simple yet emotionally connected...😳

And then this week we had that gem of a scene when a vocally challenged ASR calls out to Khushi and she turns...oh so romantic😍...filled with love😳

Why cant they reach that point again?...will showing them emotionally invested in each other without the TRP led misunderstanding make it any less exciting to watch...me thinks not😳

Does only a misunderstanding signal makings of a great love?

I think somewhere this whole misunderstanding seems out of turn now😆

Is love not in being together and facing challenges😊...can ASR and Khushi not be together ...and then face challenges like most normal couples do😊...Say like a business takeover...or a complicated illness...or just dealing together against the slimy Shyam😳

If well scripted all of the above make great tracks😊

I feel I am much sold over a couple that is united than a couple for ever at loggerheads who frankly have no clue now why they are fighting😆...at least after the ASR call out scene and Khushi care for him😳

Does only staring and sighing to assorted Rabba Ves mean great passionate love?

Ok again there is no way to say this but simply this...I don't really know many couples who are smitten with each other but whose only contact with each other is when egged on by assorted bunch of relatives or thanks to a bar of soap in the bathroom😆

I mean come on...sure we dont expect a dash dash dash scene ...but its about time there is some physical connection between them😊

Hugs, kisses and what have you😆... are a regular part of showing you love and care...should love always be shown by staring with intensity...or falling with duppattas flying😆...no you only get a fracture at best if you fall over a duppatta 😆...ok bad joke.😆

So if ASR+Khushi are shown demonstrative after confessing their love...will it make any less interesting for us...again me thinks not😳

For whoever who heads this ship

I get the whole point about drama ...about passion...about TRP...about censors...and what have you

But frankly the way its heading... its not even tragic love now...its just 'exasperation with love'😕😆😆

This misunderstanding needs to be addressed ASAP...because it is where it is with a variety of comic and other elements thrown it...and its begginning to be very repetitive now😳

More importantly ...if for second we assume that you have a great love story of separated lovers on hand...then even that objective is not met😕...because on the basis of what is shown till now the misunderstanding seems to be of a one sided love (ASR)...and a critical piece is missing ...he needs to be loved in return and they both must know they are in love and are being loved back😳...only to be sepatated by Shyam...If this was your intention dear creatives then even this is not being met...

Romeo Juliet, Shirin Farhad, Heer Ranjha ...knew they loved each other to death😳😳...before actually death did them apart😳

Here after 10 odd months only ASR seems to be in love...and we are no where close to both of tehm consciously confessing this...How long?...

This wait is tragic😆😆😆

But again why make it tragic

Why don't they show they love each other and then face the challenges😳😳

I will end it with this...I dont remember it verbatim but its a dialogue from one of my very favorite movies..".Love Actually"...it part of a voiceover at the start of the movie and goes like this:

"None of the messages sent by the passengers of the ill fated planes that hit the 9-11 Twin Towers were of hate ...the messages were of love😳😳"

Creatives...Please😳

Please give ASR+Khushi's love that chance to come to the fore😊...trust me ...passion, success, TRP, and money will follow😳

After all...this is the love between your, mine, our...Jodi No 1😳

Well, here we don't even know if it is real love. The CVs have showed that ASR being more in love and was almost close to admitting it but the terrace scene messed up everything. As far as Khushi is concerned, she is still not sure and when she feels love, there is some hate incident and she backs off.

You have hit the nail on its head. ASR and Khushi love each other.😉 We know it, but do they know it?

I am going to answer this from a different point of view. Well, we have seen the ambulance scene where ASR ran to stop the ambulance (ASR reminded me of Usain Bolt that day)😆 but he could never tell khushi what he had to go through. In one of my posts one of the fans wrote that Shyam may put ASR's life in danger over property papers. In this case, I do see Khushi going through the same phase as ASR had to go through. I do want ASR to see the concern in khushi's eyes if such a case were to arise.

Misunderstanding- We are in for one more round of MU because of the keys incident and I have a feeling that ASR is going to blurt it out to her one of these days regarding the terrace scene. From what I understand ME is about clearing the misunderstanding( still not sure about the degree)

Rabba Ves- I agree with you that there should be a physical connection between them.😉 Just sleeping on the couch is not enough!😉😉

MU part- If the misunderstandings are not resolved, then we can have a ton of Rabba Ves and then come back to square one.

I think that the Heer Ranjha sequence will give them a chance to be next to each other ( ASR being away from his laptop and KKGSR being away from Dabba service). I hope something drastic happens and Khushi starts finding out the reason why ASR married her and ASR starts finding out if KKGSR is really guilty or not.
After the sangeet ceremony, they grew a step closer and I hope this sequence takes them a step ahead and closer to the truth.( After all, this will be their first dance as hubby and wifey😉)

Having said that I do agree that show focusses more on ASR love..but I dont think it is one sided love.. reason being that khushi has time and again responded whenever he gestured his love..with equal love coming from her as well..yes it is shown very subtly... but it is dere..she did expect him to reveal his heart to her two times..one on diwali and other at payal's wedding both time.. he has ruthlessly broken her heart...so it is understandable if she keeps a check on her feelings..However she does keep on looking for slight love in his eyes..moment it is there she is on top of world..here I remember her getting first gift from ASR..bangles..she did get from NK as well.. but first gift from the man she loves really made her day..all the while waiting for him on terrace she is excited thinking he will finally tell her...bt instead that very man forced her to marry him without giving any reason.. previous episodes did have a concerned khushi back..concerned for his well being..but I agree that her character is not that strongly depicted..one day she is bubly and childish and other day she is sensible woman... but she definately loves him dear..that love will shine through when he will break down learning her innocence..Seeing him like that will break her too...(if CVs wish so)😆
We should also understand that viewers know real ASR..she is trying to figure him out..may be she will love him more when she completely understand arnav as well as ASR side of this man..It is difficult to love him..as it was difficult for him to even understand his love

Im still reading ur post...but one point I wanted to make was that Khushi knows that she likes him. There have been so many times when they were fighting and she says tat I can't belive you are the same person. Even the day he forced her to marry him, she was gonna say that I thought u liked me. Everytime, she thinks he likes her, she gets turned down badlyyy...first Diwali when he decided to get married to someone else, and then on Payal's wedding when he forced her to marry. For her, he doesn't like her...if it was anyone in her shoes, I dont think that person would like him after so much. And she still can't believe that she thought he liked her. just my POV, I'm not sure if someone already mentioned these points :)

I would hate for a tragic ending though coz there is certainly an element of escapism that we seek in a story.

I have sometimes questioned why I am so concerned with fictional characters but then it's the same with a good book too isn't it? If we could watch for 30mins and then forget, then clearly it's not engaging enough. This one ofcourse goes beyond just engaging- atleast with me it's close to an addiction and obsession 😆

Right so after digressing and rambling back to the beloved arnav and Khushi. Sure she loves him too but his blow hot blow cold is not letting her get the right signals and following diwali she dared not hope only to find it's not close to being reciprocated and have her heart shattered. I agree that it cannot be that she does not know it's love when she keeps explaining the significance of all this to all
and sundry. As for Arnav, as the viewer I can see that he loves her; in fact much more than he cares to admit even to himself. For Khushi however, given the many volte-face of his character why should this seem as anything more than casual concern, ocassiobal goodness of heart and a fleeting attraction.

I am fine with having a MU as long as a similar time will then be spent showing the bonding, strengthening of love and romance. Right now what pisses me off is that any feelings of tenderness are all too quickly quashed. It's almost like the CVs are scared we might not be able to handle the intensity

Anyway let's see what next week brings. The heer ranjha track is not creating much excitement. But the addiction will ensure I'll tune in
