Behind her smile
Arnav turns in his sleep as he heard some noise.
He wakes up fully looked around for the noise.
He checked the bet for kushi. It was empty. Arnav
began to wondering where kushi is. At the
mid night where could she go? He glances at
pool side he sees that kushi was sitting near the
pool looking up at stars.
He moves to French door it was slightly ajar. So he could hear whatever she talked with stars aka her parents.
Kushi was sitting there looking at the sky. Her
eyes twinkle not because of glee but tears. She was not aware of Arnav.
Kushi: Maa or Papa, what can I say, I tried my
best to make everyone happy. Yes amma I know
I am bit of selfish at that. When I make others happy me too can be happy at last.
She smiles slyly.
Kushi: but amma why I cannot make him happy.
I do everything for him, Arnavji.
Hearing this Arnav head shot up
Kushi: haan amma I cannot make him happy. She shakes her head. No matter how much I tried he would not want me near him. He always hates me but I don't know why.
Her tears slid down to check.
Kushi: he always told me that. But amma I wanted to be with you between papa & you so I could be happy ever after. Could you reserve a place for me too? After I came there I will reserve a place for Anjaliji & Arnavji. But they are not coming now it will take a very long time. If you make a place for me I will give my years to Anjaliji & Arnavji.
Arnav learn on the wall with a thud. Somewhere between his chest, his heart arched. All he understand that she wanted gift her live to him & his di, he dose not understand the star thing. He knows she talk to stars but its still did not fix there.
Arnav come out called her
Kushi
She hurriedly wipes her tears turns to him asked. It hid him that she hides her tear from him.
What do you need anything?
No, don't you sleep.
I am going to. Tell me why you could not sleep do you lie to anybody that's why you could not sleep
She smiles at him. He could not believe what he sees. She passed him with a murmur "laad governor"
He looked at her sleeping figure for some time. And he though himself
She always made fun just because she could forget her grief & pain and make others happy by that she is too trying to being happy. She is unbelievable. But he can feel it slowly she is loosing it.
She hides everything behind her smile. Nobody knows how much she hurts, her heart ached. Even himself until today. Suddenly the realization hid him with a force.
She wanted to die. And she asked a place everyday. Everyday she wanted to die. Living with him is such a hell to her. He could not bear that. But he is the one who made her live hell but she wanted to give her live and a position in star when he comes there.
He goes to bet take her hand in his. He wipes away the tear kissed on her knuckle.
He sat there with perplex something is missing again if she could give her life to his di how can she takes her husband from her.
Am I making a big mistake? What is the truth?
