Lovely analysis Tathya. If I may, I would like to add couple of more random observation.
Do I impact her?
For the first time Khushi went with what Arnav wanted without any argument and he did not like it at all. He wanted her to argue about first rights to changing clothes. Apart from the fact that he has settled in dailly squabbles of domesticity, I also think he likes to rile her so that he can get some reaction from her even if it is negative. He needs to know that she notices him or he has some impact on her life. It is her indifference that is his undoing. Infact that is something that I noticed throughout today's episode. Nothing irks him more than when she states that she does not care or would rather have been elsewhere. He immedietly assumes that she means that she would rather be with Shyam than him and he lashes back with rage and jealousy. He is constantly looking for some explicit sign from her that she cares and he matters to her. On the other hand Khushi has no idea what is expected from her and Arnav definately does not make it easy.When she does make an attempt she almost always get spurned circumstantially and ends up getting hurt. It is this constant miscommunication that drives them apart. Odds are if she manages to take one step in right direction, Arnav will take one too. When she gets the matchstick out of his hand to prevent his hand from burning, he reciprocates by offering his hand.
Hint Galore
If yesterday's episode had Arnav dropping hints for his anger left and right, today it was Khushi's turn. She must have mentioned atleast three times that she is doing it all for Di. Now only if both of them can remove wax from thier ears and blindfold from thier eyes, they would be able to see the truth in its true glory.
Dance of the scorpion vs Teri Meri
Today we saw dance of the passion as aptly named by Tathya as dance of the scorpion. Interestingly when I first saw it it reminded me of the mating dance of scorpions. It was beautifully executed and choreographed...I was actually speechless. To me it seemed to tell thier story...the first steps as competitors at odds with each other where they complete two circles with thier hands locked in agressor position almost as if assessing each other as equals. Then the continuous twirling just like Khushi's life kept twirling around Arnav, the sheer physicality of the step where Arnav supports her by going down on knees reminded me of Diwali night when he was puting on her anklet and then the brief seperation when he decided to marry LA. He then returns back to lift her and the direction of Khushi's toes as she slides down reminded me of thier brief love when she was his princess and he was her prince. They once again move in circles at odd with each other and the twirling continues until we reach the cresendo. Another interesting thing was that Khushi seemed to want to leave several times during the course of dance but Arnav would always pull her back until she gave in and was completely lost in his arms. I also noticed that as they moved from the gentle rocking dance to the passionate one , the lights seemed to have dimmed almost as if darkness in Arnav's heart had taken over. I thought that was a beautiful touch.
A lot of people were comparing today's dance with Teri Meri as the steps seem to be almost same.This dance was nothing like Teri Meri. Khushi took the lead in that dance while Arnav supported her, here Arnav was calling the shots. While Teri Meri was a study in finesse and slow seduction, today's dance was all about raw emotions, possession and ownership. What stood out for me was that they are both creature of passion and were perfectly matched. Thier footwork was perfectly in sync almost as if they could anticipate each others moves...does that mean in future we will see them walk in lockstep ? Another thing I noticed was that while in Teri Meri, Khushi came out of trance first , today it was Arnav. Was anyone else in the family able to pick on the tension ? I would have loved to see Shyam's expressions.
Filler episode?
I did not think that this was a filler episode. There were several implications from this episode
1) Arnav should know Shyam is not gonna change . If he wanted to turn a new leaf, he would not have interfered yesterday and neither looked on with lusty eyes. It is time for Arnav to start working on plan B.
2) This is a family that goes overboard to patch up things between supposedly fighting couple, what are the odds that they will let the couple split ever more so since both of them are loved dearly. Also if Arnav cannot bear to even see anyone cast aspirations on Khushi and reacts so possesively, how is he going to let her go 6 months later.
3) This episode leads to creating a circumstance for perfect heart to heart ( No interruption, No lights and Khushi is scared of dark, Arnav cannot leave as is his MO or work on his laptop, there is pent up attraction and frustation in air, there is only one bed and fire ordeal will help them loosen up a bit). All that needs to be seen is if the couple will use this opportunity to atleast start clearing the air.
I have read a lot of viewer state that once MU is cleared up, there will be no story, I tend to differ. All clearing up MU does is change the dynamics between Arnav and Khushi and levels the playing field between ASR/Khushi and Shyam strategically. The problem still stays the same how to deal with Shyam who is getting bolder and uses Anjali as his pawn. Even in those circumstances it will not be an easy ride for Arnav and Khushi.
