Tants, you and Doods have a fantastic way of decoding the episode👏. It is such a pleasure to read the Redux thread.

I liked the episode, the war is out in the open. Shyam gifting Khushi the roses in front of Arnav and Arnav marking Khushi as his with the tango. Loved it. Khushi giving him the silent treatment and he is not able to bear that she is not responding and turns back to question her - nice scene to watch.
I loved the way you ended your summary

"Arnav and Khushi are locked into the room , both engage in their hobby of riling one another .. Khushi heckles Arnav who counters it by switching off the candles, the only source of illumination ...In a symbolic move showing that Arnav it is who extinguished the lights , brightness in Khushi's life but it will be he who will bring that happiness to her too... At the same time it can also be taken as a sign that Arnav will be the lone ranger who will be playing with the fire when unaware to him the fire decides to strike back at him only for Khushi to be alerted in nick of time "

Will wait for @Doods post

I always read and rarely comment here...but I have something to say today. 😳

UPDATED...

I liked the epi. It was not typical filler. We need such epis to balance out the comedy, intensity and the drama. Some may say it didn't contribute to the story. If it didn't contribute much to the story, it didn't do any damage either. In fact I saw some progression and continuity as well.

Today's epi continued from where it ended yesterday. We knew nani had something up her sleeve; she planned for an in-house honeymoon because she couldn't send them away. It may look a bit nosy but I thought it was nice gesture. Payash appreciated the efforts of the family and if Arhi married under normal circumstances, they would have liked it too.

Like many have already pointed out, the dance was a statement to Shyam from Arnav. I feel more than making a statement to Shyam, ASR was making a statement to himself that he has the situation under his control. He likes to be in control. The dance was meant to look raw and possessive. The focus of this dance was not on Khushi (unlike Teri Meri which was about Arhi, their passion and the realization of their feelings). The focus was on ASR and his feelings - passion, possessiveness, vengeance, and jealousy.

It was not just ASR making a statement; there was more to the dance. The battle between ASR and Shyam has begun. I am not good with symbolisms but I saw a bit of symbolism here. ASR believes Khushi is siding with Shyam and they are partners in crime. From his POV, he was leading the dance, Khushi was dancing along but her heart was elsewhere. She is a liability, a threat which needs to kept in check. For Shyam, it was a forced dance where ASR was giving him a message that Khushi is off limits now and Khushi was dancing unwillingly. From Khushi's POV, Although angry and confused, she was perfectly synchronized with him.

ASR believes Khushi loves Shyam and will always side with him, he is unaware of her innocence and the fact that she is actually in love with him. While he continues to fight Shyam alone, Khushi will be silently supporting him in his fight. Shyam who believes there is no love between the two (because Khushi told him the truth about the marriage in her drunken state) will continue trying to use it in his advantage. The moment he tries to strike big, ASR may be unaware of it If something as such happens, Khushi will be there to counter it.

I don't think Khushi was inconsistent today. She behaved the same way she did yesterday. Her characterization went for a toss last week but this week she is back to being her normal self. No matter what happens, she is smiles and talks normally when she's around the family. But inside the bedroom, she was back to being the Khushi, who has bitterly accepted that she doesn't have many choices at the moment and didn't have any qualms about giving it back to ASR in seclusion. I loved the little convo they had after they went inside the room to get changed and before the dance. They were short, precise and reflected their thoughts.

Shyam's evil intentions are always countered by Anjali's good ones. Again it is symbolical for the future. In fact this time, he was alone in his evil intentions but the family was united and they countered it together.

A very important dialogue of from ASR , "main yeh sab di ke liye kar raha hoon". Khushi replies. "main bhi yeh sab unhi ke liye kar raha hoon". For the first time after they acknowledged that they are on the same side and their statements had other, much deeper meanings.

So overall, it began as light hearted epi, but became an intense, interesting one.

I also liked the little developments. They are using all the supporting characters these days. I am happy that they are giving mama more scenes. Payash scenes were good.

I hope they rest of the week continues to have the same flow. Balance is the key here.

Barun was fabulous. He portrayed ASR's raw passion to perfection and danced very well. 👏

Sanaya supported very well. She is good dancer. Loved that confusion and reluctance for the dance on her face.

Daljeet looked stunning.

About the dance...I think the Teri Meri steps were repeated because Sarun didn't have enough time to rehearse.

Great post Sathu. Loved your take. 😊 Doodles...waiting for your take. 😳

Great analysis as usual.
Updated:
Ok... I'm back to write what I wanted.
When this episode first started out, I was again disappointed...OOOHHH NNNOOO... not another filler/ senseless comedy. I mean we had to bear so much OTT slapstick comedy from Khushi last week, now it was the entire family that was acting up! Just great 😡
Then I thought that this episode was especially designed to advertise the great success of this show at SPA, recently, to some new, curious, viewers who want to see what the big deal is in this show. Seee, our leading pair are sssooo damn sizzling hot; Arnav has such expressive eyes, face, body language ; he looks drop dead gorgeous in casuals (jeans and brown shirt); our Maami ji is shooo funnyyy; our villian wears a tux; and so forth.
BUT, was there anything in it for us serious viewers, who have followed the show from the beginning? Hey, we are the ones who have been yelling to the the cvs to get a grip on this great love story, not to make a mess out of their own masterpiece.
SO DID THEY?
Well, in some, small parts, yes, but overall, no, not yet.
Tants and Doods analysis is too good to be improved, but a few of my own points:
1. if bd has to be used 😡 please select sb who matches the actor; hair, weight, etc
2. Stop cheapening the billionaire Raizada family and Mansion: started with a pathetic bathroom for the business tycoon with expensive taste, and now bad party decorations esp those huge yellow lanterns. You're telling me they couldn't book a 5 star hotel hall and 2 suites???
3. Due to the omnipresent huge yellow lanterns, I couldn't enjoy the dance properly. I wanted to yell at the cameraman to either take them down for good, or just shoot this sequence from a better, unobstructed angle. how come no cvc thought of that?
4. The dance between two tormented souls, both madly in love as well as in hate with each other, was satisfactory, but could have been several notches more sexy and passionate, had they been given a bigger dance space and better, more passionate dance steps that tango is famous for. After all, wasn't the whole point of this was to allow ASR to vent out his pent up passion and desire for Khushi; his maddening need and possessiveness to brand her as his and his alone, in full public view; show how tortured and agonized, his soul, mind and heart are. One dance step was not shown- when Arnav and Khushi both move several steps back, then Kushi is supposed to run to Arnav, who catches her and then lifts her high. Only lift shown.
5. Some significant points:
- Anjali pushing Shyaam off the dance floor to allow Arnav and Khushi space to dance more freely.
- so much candle light in payash room (so much love, contentment, and hope) and only a couple of them in arshi 's room ( so much darkness that they can barely see each other), which Arnav, in his spite and overconfidence that things will turn his way, blows out only to realize that things aren't in his control here.
- when forced by circumstances to work together, no matter what their feelings are, Arshi were shown to be a natural and well tuned team. That says a lot for their future, hopefully. They realize the trouble they are in, at the same instance; both set off together to find a solution, Khushi showing the way; when he finds it, Arnav comes to inform her and she promptly decides on their next course of action; BEST SCENE was when Arnav, without any thought of his battered heart, offers Khushi his strong hands to help her up from the bed, and she for once does not hesitate to accept his help. Her doing so shows her innate trust in her Arnavji, something that needs to be built on so that they can be together for real like they were at the end of that camaraderie scene. Now lets see how this fragile comradeship can tackle this fire in their room.
-Again,too many forced RV, esp the bed one could have been shown a lot better.
Thanks. Please do comment.

heyy tants, i am up, and reading your analysis
beautifully written with good choice of words 👏
but i think asr MU has reached that point, where any further misunderstanding and misjudgement will only add to his confusion...
i found the whole bali at home bizzarre, but i think it does have some relevance to the MU track...
lets see what doods have to say...

Firstly, I want to say that I love the analysis done by you & Doods... Fantastic analysis each time 👏👏👏 ... My day is never complete without reading the redux. The Redux also gives me a different view on the entire episode & the subtleties shown in it.

About today's episode all I want to say that I completely agree with Dood's analysis that the episode showed some shades from last week's track of Shyam convincing Arnav about his innocence and some shades of the initial track of Shyam-Arnav confrontation. The CV's seem to be confused about the way this MU track should be carried on.

Nice analysis, Tanthya!!
It was nice to see the Raizada family set up the honeymoon at home. The extent they went to organise everything for ArHi and Payash...was a nice gesture...
I especially liked how mamaji became the driver and shocked ArHi and Payash at the beginning of the epi... and the way he himself got confused for a second when Khushi requested him to keep the bag down...
The dance was nice... it had a lot to it, which you have explained wonderfully!! It was nice to finally hear the title song in the show...

As usual your analysis made me revisit the episode and made it a little more bearable!
Just a thought - no matter what, both yesterday and today's episodes were a whole lot better than last week. Thank goodness thats over!
Other than finding the "Hotel Bali in Delhi" slightly bizzare, I thought it had a much deeper significance than that. While it involved both the couples, I think it clearly signalled that Anjali and Nani (ably aided by Shyam albiet for different reasons) have begun to suspect that all is not well in the ArHi paradise.
And the entire organising honeymoon, forcing them to dance, their so-called romantic candlelit dinner signified a much deeper affirmation - that whenever Arnav and Khushi will start to move apart - Anjali and Nani will be there to bring them back together.
As for the dance, you summed it up beautifully! But also I thought, for Arnav, it was an unravelling of what he did with Teri Meri - the dance was in essence the same except in Teri Meri it was the gentle touch of a bemused lover as he began to acknowledge Khushi's presence and impact in his life. WIth this one, the same moves executed with immense angst and possessiveness - almost as if forcing himself to unwind everything that he had allowed himself to feel. Only permitting the remanents of his anger at her etrayal remain, and, a desire to thwart Shyam.

Hi Tanthya:

I just wanted to say that I simply love your writing. You have such a way of describing the layers of the show using words that make it all visible and tangible. Loved the episode for the reason you outlined so beautifully.

Thanks.
