before they never wanted to show their feelings but at the same time they didnt quite understand their feelings and they were curious to explore each other's proximity, thats why the chemistry was there.now they understand their feelings for each other and they think each is not worth it, and as someone said their love inside them is whimpering dead so the chemistry is a bit shaken.

on another note the hurried shootings due to sanaya's leave could also be a reason.they might not have done many takes to bring each look/feel to perfection.

all in all i'm not disappointed with the episode, didn't find anything amiss as such
