Hiya DcGirl, please be assured, no offence is taken 🤗 Good to see you on the forum 😊 I love you too 🤗 Ooh La La, this is a lengthy response 😊

Agree to some of your facts but I beg to differ to some..

A challenge should be fair and square... Business and personal life are two different realms and should not be mixed. Any good businessman will also know that.

Agreed. his intentions may not be to hurt PayAsh but he has been threatening Khushi with their divorce time and time again... Now to Khushi this is like a direct threat to her family whom she cares for very much... just as how ASR cares for his sister... So tomorrow if Khushi threatens to tell Anji all about her marriage do you think ASR will take it lightly or would we agree with her stance? Isn't Khushi keeping up with ASR's games at RM?
what is good for the goose is also good for the gander... Khushi is being considerate to Anjali's condition... had she not been, she would have blurted out the truth about the pag phera incident and the truth about her marriage to her family ...

At least in Pretty Woman, Richard Gere was honest... he openly said that he buys big companies breaks them into smaller chunks and sells them for profit... he did not go about intimidating and buying companies through deceit and lies... he acquired companies that were faltering or failing.. at least he was honest about the dirty work he did... that is what I remember... Here ASR portrays a different self to his family and behind closed doors he is something else... he wants Khushi to hide how she was being treated, making displays of false affections which is not sitting well with me ...

Regarding the trust factor, if we catch someone doing something, we will definitely confront them... that is normal human nature... ASR is never scared of confronting anyone... so why not confront Khushi and come clean with it.. I would like to credit ASR with better acumen... being a top notch businessman he should know that looks are deceptive... what was ASR thinking when he took Shyam's word as gospel truth? Tomorrow if not Shyam there will be someone else talking about Khushi's past... is ASR going to react in the same manner? At least Khushi has been consistent with her confrontational behaviour...in the sense, she confronts any and everyone even if she is proven wrong ..

ASR followed Khushi to the
Gupta household with ulterior motive... firstly, he wanted her back at any cost... this was to pamper his ego he could not believe that this chit of a girl had the temerity to walk out on him, dare to defy his order. Secondly, he did no know how to face his family... so to save face and keep up with the pretence he needed her ... does he ever think of Khushi and how his decision has affected her? she has been deprived of her family and loved one's...All ASR could think of his sister... True we should care for our families but we should not be blindly selfish..

ASR is a man who always thinks of himself and his family and he is not shy to admit it... true we too are like that to some extent... but do we wilfully put others in misery to achieve our goals? so to me this is a characteristic of a narcissist...

I fail to see any intelligence in the manner in which ASR has acted... Any other businessman of his stature would have thought about the consequence of his actions... he would have thought about the repercussions... how it would hurt his business and his family... had Khushi wanted, she could have taken him to task by selling her story to the media, the way he did... but this is where the two personalities differ... Agree ASR was sold to us as a grey character... but he is in fact fast turning into a dark knight... which is very disappointing... CVs are ruining the characters with each passing day...

sorry my response too has got lengthy... .. 😊

Luv
🤗

IMO,ASR's character has been tarnished to a point of no return. No amount of redemption can erase the pain he is causing Khushi...atleast not in the eyes of the any ardent Khushi supporter...it would be interesting to see how the cvs portray it.

Anu

The reason why I continue to follow the serial is to see how CVs are going to reveal the truth about Shyam, if they will tie up all the loose ends, how ASR will make up to Khushi etc.. I have never seen a complete serial and this is the first serial that I have been following diligently... thus I am unable to digest some of the logic shown...

I hope the CVs will bring about a positive change soon..

Its is very obvious the goodness(khushi) will prevail but for the sake of tomorrow's remorse, how do you accept today's travesty. ASR is willing to do whatever it takes as long as the benefits outweigh the risks and too by what means? deceit, treachery.

I would have rather him be more straightforward with khushi than play games that ridiculed the meaning of relations. Is marriage a joke? that he can get them married or divorced whenever he wants? I know his intention was not to hurt akash&payal but to get Khushi to understand, in the end he will be the winner (for now), but using PayAsh marriage as his triumph card yet again was reaching another low. He continues to spiral towards his own downfall lost in ignorance, its a pity really. Repentance will come sooner or later but at the cost of what?

Happy Woman's Day La🤗

Has been my birthday so have had little to be on the forum but agree with every single word typed here and how succinctly you put the above part which applies to ASR exactly!

I keep going back to flaws in the writing but it truly is, this episode again questioned the mind of the audience and not only destroyed ASR's character but demeaned Khushi's character intelligence. The tables have turned undoubtedly but today logic ceased to exist. My frustration at how Khushi wouldn't directly ask about the divorce and ASR's repetitive smirks was never ending, I was hoping for a substantial episode today but I guess not. Yesterdays water throwing incident may have seemed child play but at least both were conveyed as equals with Khushi having a slight edge but today ASR's "games or illusionary" was childish - in the scheme of things it still doesn't make sense how he can hold an independent marriage of two people over Khushi's head whilst not tell her the reason of their own marriage.

The CVs are buying time and stalling themselves from portraying the REAL scenes, last Friday we got a glimpse of what is to come when he revealed a little bit of his hurt sending Khushi's brain wheel churning - so with that I hold on hope and keep watching whilst pray they don't damage the characters any more for me!

🤗La... I know you can't mix business with personal life but you see this marriage is not conventional in any way and these two are not the normal couple you see everyday! Khushi left RM saying that she is breaking the marriage... so, he doesn't have to think her as his wife... he does though, did you see how many times he called her KKGSR? (oh, I am such a hopeless romantic?) He always owned up to his actions... he never told anyone he is nice... he claims he is ruthless and has no emotions and all the things you said about his nature are true... no secret there!
There are several flaws in the script like any other soap opera... I assume
why would Khushi alone goto RM to reveal the truth about Shyam? why wouldn't someone from GH go with her to backup her story? it never happened but still one wonders!
Why didn'y anyone lookup Shyam's lastname and put two and two together?
Khushi not telling Anjali is understandable but why wouldn't she go to ASR? thats where the trust part comes in... they are not there yet!
Same way, why would this smart business man see something and hear Shyam blabber wouldn't goto Khushi for explanation? a big flaw... ofcourse but in the mindset he was in...its reasonable?! I don't know... all i think is, when Shyam told him that Khushi and him are in love, ASR heart broke, well whatever was left after the terrace scene... imagine if he goes to Khushi and she confesses tooo... it will kill the guy! During the wedding week, it was established that ASR is very weak when it comes to emotions... unlike Khushi! She can go thru hell and next min come up smiling... she is stronger than what we think of her and a fighter!
If Khushi repeatedly asked ASR about why he married her, maybe he would reveal it just like he blurted out... whatabout the pain u caused me? but she is asking to reveal it to the family... he will never do that! Another scripting flaw I guess!
So, I completely agree that CVs are taking liberties to try extreme tracks but I think both Khushi and Arnav's characters are same as day 1! And I think their imperfections make them perfect for each other.
Richard Gere does play dirty with the opponent and he only confesses about his bluff in the last business meeting with the opponent! we are not there yet! Just imagine if Khushi finds out he bluffed... she is gonna comeup with another way to blackmail him for sure! She is not gonna give up.
another flaw in the script... Khushi is so keen on bringing ASR in front of the Guptas to reveal the truth behind the marriage but why can't she tell them herself that he blackmailed her and she did it for Payal. They already kept a secret about Shyam, whats one more? right? will they be devastated? they are already broken because of how Khushi got married? They will be hurt if Arnav reveals that he blackmailed her into marrying him! all roads lead to Rome...people getting hurt!
But the way I see it is... Khushi is a people pleaser, nothing wrong with that. She was at the receiving end on the wedding day, ASR left her alone to take everyone's bashing. So, she wants to clear her name, again.. nothing wrong with that but she is dealing with a pro here! Remember the havan scene where he wanted to see whether she was wearing the bangles he bought or not... he tricked her into showing them to him? He always gets what he wants thats his nature... by what means, well... he is not nice... period.
You know what I noticed here... we have taken a long break from interacting with each other, so out posts are getting longer! we should do this more often, then it will be easier...

hats off to you guys for a lively discussion.

No matter what logic we as a collective viewers apply, what CVs show is up to them. I am not sure how, when and where they get their ideas and whether they raid this forum to gauge the general temperature of viewers.

Thank you for the post, I thought I was the only one who was about to wretch all over the room while I was watching the cafe scene, cause it made me sick to see a woman being talked to like that by a man who would at some point confess his love for her and we would have to watch it and she would have to accept it.

All I could keep thinking for the last few mins was 'He didn't have to win like that, she didn't have made to lose like that'.

And Yes, HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY!!!

We had a wonderful one, didn't we? Saw an eye candy of a man won deceitfully while a 'steel rose' of a woman lose... and there was neither love nor war going on at the moment.
It was simply a man's ego getting bruised by the strength of a woman's heart.

You can't get respect if you are born a woman, even if you were born in a fiction and the SP serials somehow manage to point that rather than any 'nayi soch'.

Lady La La,

I loved your post, and loved 98% of the posts made by others. It is so great to know that as women we have a sense of self-respect, propriety and dignity. We all stand together to speak out against a storyline that uses deceit and foul tactics in the name of saving family honor (read Anji's marriage).

So however sad we are about the storyline, we should be proud that we stand together on this issue on the International Womens' Day!

And regarding your Q: whether Khushi deserves ASR? NO, and NO GIRL DESERVES HIM. PERIOD. GETTING A HUSBAND LIKE HIM WILL BE THE WORST KIND OF MISFORTUNE FOR ANY GIRL.

I read and loved a lot of nice quotes today.

One post greatly bothered me. I am totally confused by DCGirl's comments. In what way Richard Gere in Pretty Woman compares to ASR? I don't think in this case she is comparing an apple to an apple. Richard Gere was a businessman and he made business deals that he made appear lucrative to the other side. And in those business deals, both sides were equal players with equal interest. Now, I would call him a smart and savyy businessman. What kind of business deal is ASR doing with Khushi? Khushi, for that matter, is not even interested in deals or challenges. She is forcibly pushed into a relationship, and her attempts to question the reason are being subdued by blackmailing, and torture. What kind of business acumen is this? To be perpetrating acts that have no meaning at all? Smart businessmen do not waste time trying to win useless tit-for-tat contests over weak opponents.

I would also like to contradict DCGirl's comment to leave the deceased ones out. I would say that the behavior and mentality of the Raizadas seriously raise doubts about their upbringing and values. I find them selfish, insensitive, ill-behaved and condescending (Arnav, Anjali and Mami). Those who do not fall into that category (Akash, Mama, Nani) are brainless and spineless.

I wish I remembered the quotes that I loved reading today: the one about the 'once a cheater, always a cheater, ...and the one about 'being raised by a queen'. I have to go back and writethem down. I wish I could name everyone individually, because most of the posts are so well-written.

Cheers and Happy Holi to our great Women Sorority in the Forum.

@LadyLaLa Thank you for this post. I was thinking 100% same and you wrote it beautifully..

@sbk2 - I too skipped yesterday episode and no mood to watch today's also.. I agree with you.. her pain, discomfort no longer seem to be bother him.. what kind of love it is.. Simply I cant drool over him..

Whatever the reason, its SP formula or TRPs.. I dont wish to watch Khushi's tears without her fault.. enough now.. instead of showing bechaari Khushi, why cant they show intelligent ASR who can spend few mins to think about Shyam, the real villain.. IF ASR was smart enough, why he is not trying to find out the truth about Shyam..

After reading some post, where they were justifying Khushi sleeping outside, i really went mad.. but this post and discussions made me to calm down..Thank you all..

Hey!!

I'm not entirely sure as to why you quoted his play as "lies and deceit". He did not. He worked on his strengths, ie. knowing his partner's weakness. He played fairly and in wit, he showed all his cards to her, it was upto her to strategize with what she saw and proceed. Why didn't she snatch the papers off Akash and tear them? Or spill water on them? Why? Why did she believe everything Arnav said? Its because she wasn't confident about her skills.
