When I read the subjectline of the post I was angry and hated you...but the amazing post , your wonderful thoughts, penned down without inhibitions, made me realize that I was reading my own feelings. Did you read my mind? I really want to hate ASR but I am unable to do so...Damn BS!!!
I know they are glorifying domestic abuse and I am happy watching it...had it been any other series I would have stopped doing it and I have done that in the past many a times...there is no series that I watched till its end..Thats me!! The same me who waits like a maniac everyday for the episode and any slightest news about it and ...no... its not the sweet faces that I want to watch..but I love these characters..so simple outside, yet so complex inside that it will take a lifetime to decifer them!!!!
I hate BS and SI for making me and my life miserable.

first I read your title post I was like "what the.. how can anyone hate him!" then I read your post, and then every point made sense, I now see you have good rights to hate BS, he's too awesome to be loved 😉

actually this is a dangerous precedent. there was a v thought provoking thread started by serialjunkie bt glorifying domestic abuse.

here our prob is v r not able 2 hate or dislike asr coz of Barun sobti. this is a risky ammunition that v the viewers r providing 2 the channels & the directors/writers. if a guy looks handsome & has fabulous acting skills v get dazzled by the ability of the actor & forget the actual injustice of the character. here wat asr has done is inexcusable but v the viewers r unable 2 hate the characterization.

imagine our reaction if the character of asr had been played by shakti kapoor or any other average looking bloke or if it had been played by someone like John Abraham a pretty prop with 0 acting skills. v wouldnt b rooting for this character & praying for his redemption.

hell v wouldnt even b watching this bloody show in that case. its barun, his irresistible on-screen charisma as asr & his mind blowing acting skills who is making us accept albeit grudgingly but still ACCEPTING asr. therein lies the risk.

even in real life impressionable teenage girls might fall for real life A** like asr who is handsome but cruel 😕

Gr8 post. Im so there with u. Even I can't stop thinking about ASR while im at work. God I should b working. Cv's have created a brillant character and hats off 2 Barun Sobti 4 making ASR so believable. 👏
