Reserving for now.
Edit~
I agree with you. And I'm eager to see who if anyone will stand by her. I think the first few days she's up for a royal snub from all sides and condemned to shed silent tears of agony in the pool of darkness...okay I may have gotten carried away there but I read somewhere that she doesn't like to sleep in the dark and I think she will be made to do exactly that..yikes!
It's almost like these masochistic stories sell well!?... where the guy is straight from the M&B production line and the female irrespective of how she starts off as turns out to be a typical and ever sacrificial SP bahu (now I've been reading a lot of that here - and sort of agree that marriage seems to be the one and all solution to all life's problems in all the shows that air on this channel...go figure) who suffers through everything and gives umpteen 'agniparikshas' before she is accepted into the family and his life. eeks! I really hope this show doesn't turn into that...although it probably has already. Honestly, if you think about this objectively, how on earth is something like this even a solution to the problem Arnav faces with regards to his sister-who-needs-urgent-psychiatric-help's marital problems? Why does an innocent eighteen year old (not sure that's her age) have to be the one who suffers while everyone around her dishes out abuses both physical and emotional on her!? Why not the creepy dude or his sister who has to come to terms with reality at some point! Why is there no dialogue ever ! Why!? o Why!? even the courts agree to innocent until proven guilty...the unfortunate soul wasn't even given a chance to clarify...
I don't see who will stand by Khushi through all the rough initial days she is bound to face in the new house. If you think about it, the in the pretext of Payal-Akash wedding and the rituals after they've made us privy to the contrast between the two marriages- everything from family acceptance to what transpires between the married couples. Even while she was forced to get engaged with the creep, it was shocking how everyone heaped it on to her as if her life, her choices, her dreams - and her wishes don't really matter for the family. It will probably be sooo wrong to expect anything different this time. And the only one who seemed like he genuinely cared for her has been conveniently condemned to the wheel-chair as a mute spectator! I'm not sure what to expect from Payal because they really haven't worked on her as much. I'm more inclined towards Aakash - just a tiny bit but I do have some hope from him...may be he can finally rise from his brother's shadows and be a man for once.😆
I actually feel sorry for the poor girl. I suppose the blame really goes to the notion that this sells and hence why its repeated oh so often in every show. But it really does make a lot of people switch off too. Now irrespective of what they show, imo the Arnav has been damaged or perhaps he always was. If his thinking or lack of it by jumping into a quick marriage for six months emotionally blackmailing the poor and the weakest link - Khushi - man it really is the case of the strongest preying on the weakest, isn't it? I don't care what motives he had good or bad (they makers may indeed surprise us one of these days by revealing more) but nothing justifies his rash actions. Can he be redeemed after this?
If it was up to me, I'd make Khushi join a nice university complete her education, join the work-force and kick some serious butt. Yes that after she leaves his sorry-ass before the six months is up! Then he can 'try and woo her back'...since this is a love-story and everyone wants happy endings...sigh but thats just me😆 and that probably means low TRPs too 🤔
eeks! I think I've vented out all my frustrations (and digressed as usual!!) with the current plot here. May be I can finally enjoy the show now😆
